Opis:
The Tb$\text{}_{1.1}$Fe$\text{}_{11-x}$Co$\text{}_{x}$Ti (x = 0, 1, 2, 3, 4) compounds with the ThMn$\text{}_{12}$-type structure were studied by using the torque and magnetization measurements in order to investigate temperature and composition behavior of the magnetocrystalline anisotropy. The Tb$\text{}_{1.1}$(FeCo)$\text{}_{11}$Ti single crystals demonstrated spin reorientation transition from easy axis to easy plane with the decrease in temperature. The substitution of Co for Fe produces an enhancement of the Curie temperatures, decreases temperatures of spin reorientation transition and appearance of canted structure.

Opis:
A Taylor expansion of dipole-dipole interaction in 2D systems defines a Landau-like local dipolar interaction in spin derivative field. The lowest order of this interaction gives the dipolar anisotropy. The next non-zero order is responsible for the appearance of magnetic vortices and hyperbolic defects. The following non-zero orders indicate the occurrence of higher topological defects such as double circle and of modulations. The arrangement of self-screened topological defects is discussed in agreement with the Monte Carlo simulations and experimental observations. Excited localized modes associated with these defects are classified.

Opis:
The formation of the domain structure during magnetic ordering in the pure antiferromagnet with the rotational (non-180°) domains can be treated as thermodynamically preferable if the free energy of the sample is minimized with the account of surface energy. The analogy between the role of magnetostatic energy in ferromagnets and surface energy of antiferromagnet is traced. The behavior of the domain structure and macroscopic strain tensor in the external magnetic field is investigated.

Opis:
A new experiment allowing the study of static domain boundary dimensions in bistable microwire is proposed. In this experiment a static domain boundary is created by an inhomogeneous axial magnetic field. The changes in axial magnetic flux due to the presence of this boundary were measured along the microwire using two pick-up coils. Experimental results were compared with a simple theoretical model. For Fe_{77.5}Si_{7.5}B_{15} microwire with total diameter of 30 μm and metal nucleus diameter of 15 μm, good agreement between theoretical and experimental data was obtained for an axial dimension of the static domain boundary about 200 times larger than the diameter of the wire metallic core.

Opis:
Current-induced spin accumulation in a domain wall and the associated spin torque exerted on the wall are analyzed theoretically. The considerations are limited to a relatively thick Néel domain wall in a bulk ferromagnetic metal. The current-induced spin density is calculated using the linear response theory and the Green function formalism.

Opis:
Current-induced steady precessional modes in standard spin valves are usually excited as an interplay of spin-transfer torque, Gilbert damping, and external magnetic field. We propose an asymmetric spin valve, in which the spin current can excite stationary precessional modes also at zero external magnetic field. We also show that finite temperature can induce transitions between different dynamical modes. These transitions, in turn, lead to telegraph noise in magnetoresistance.

Opis:
In this study, the magnetoimpedance effect in magnetically soft $Fe_{89.8}Ni_{1.5}Si_{5.2}B_{3}C_{0.5}$ metallic glass ribbon samples with significant decrease in atomic percentage of metalloids content (less than 10 at.%) was investigated. Thermal treatments were performed by stress-annealing technique of up to 693 K/475 MPa/30 min. The critical frequency of about 600 kHz was observed as the point with the initial increase in magnetoimpedance ratio. Significant improvement of magnetoimpedance-response reaching the value ΔZ/Z=25% after stress-annealing at 693 K/130 MPa/30 min was recorded in samples with still amorphous structure at driving frequency of 4 MHz. The highest magnetoimpedance-element sensitivity was found for low magnetic field intensity (H ≤ 1 kA/m), where values of about 12%/kA/m were attained.

Opis:
Soft magnetic amorphous Co-based materials prepared by rapid quenching method in the form of thin ribbon are well-known due to their excellent soft magnetic properties as high permeability, low coercivity, and low magnetic losses in kHz range. The amorphous Co-Fe-B-Si material Vitrovac® 6155 U55 produced by Vacuumschmelze GmbH & Co. KG belongs to this class of materials and was investigated in as-delivered state. The aim of this work was to study DC magnetization process by various experimental methods. We have measured magnetization curve by fluxmeter based hysteresis graph and hysteresis loops by three different fluxmeter based hysteresis graphs, exhibiting significant differences. The first and the second hysteresis graph perform the hysteresis loops measurement by the point-by-point method, either with commutative or with summing steps. The third one is AC hysteresis graph working at very low frequencies down to 7 mHz, performing the continuous method. The explanation of this result is based on the structural after effect influencing the domain wall displacement. We assumed that the domain structure consists of very small number of domain walls responsible for magnetization process, which was confirmed by the visualization of static domain structure by a computer-controlled setup based on the Kerr effect.

Opis:
The presented article deals with a model of magnetic reversal in conducting lamination with a one central ferromagnetic layer and two outer non-ferromagnetic layers. Considering a single rigid 180° domain wall spreading through the axially magnetized ferromagnetic layer the calculation of induced eddy currents in lamination is performed. The dependence of single domain wall mobility on the thickness of ferromagnetic layer is displayed. The effect of non-homogeneous magnetic field intensity generated by eddy currents is also discussed.

Opis:
The fast domain wall dynamics of amorphous glass-coated microwires can be changed drastically by properly selected annealing temperature. Here, the effect of thermal annealing on the surface domain structure of microwires is examined. Imaging the surface domain structure by Bitter colloid revealed the periodic pattern in each studied sample. Thermal annealing of microwires results in the five times increase of the domain wall velocity, as compared to the as-cast state. Influence of the surface domain structure on the fast domain wall propagation in microwires is discussed.
