Opis:: The article concerns the life and work of Tomas Cranmer and shows the process of maturing English Reformation and her complexity under royal leadership. Cranmer has contributed significantly to the reform of the English Church as a professor of the University of Cambridge and the Archbishop of Canterbury. He was very involved in matter the annulment of the marriage of Henry VIII. Over the years, he was climbing the ladder of increasing positions and dignity. He took an active role in discussions about theological differences between the conservatives and the reformers. He disciplined some reformers. He was the author of several books, which are aimed at improving reforms in the country. The largest participation of the Cranmer’s work in the English Reformation was the influence of the creation, edition and shape the Book of Common Prayer. As a part of his reform program he worked on the revision of canon law, a correction formula of the prayer book and formation of doctrine, which were ingrained in the Bible and the patristic thought. He argued about spiritual presence of Christ in the Eucharist. He cooperated with European and English reformers. He was charged with treason, found guilty and sentenced to death.

Opis:: The study contains an analysis of the lists of the ordained priests from the book of duties of Ordinary Maciej Drzewicki, (Diocesan Archive in Włocławek, Ref. ABKP 2 [19]). The lists from the years 1516-1529 contain a total of 300 seminarians, who were ordained an acolyte, a sub-deacon, a deacon and a presbyter. They were ordained by a bishop (in one case also by a suffragan). The entries include the personal data of the ordained (their names, nicknames and the place of their origin), and as for sub-deacons, deacons and presbyters, also on what grounds they were ordained. Under the rule of Bishop Maciej Drzewicki in Włocławek ordination took place mostly in the Cathedral in Włocławek during the Easter season (mainly on Great Saturday). Among those ordained was a large group of candidates from outside the Bishopric of Włocławek – those were people with benefices in this diocese or the ones presented for ordination by the local clergy. The vast majority of the candidates for higher ordination (subdiaconate, diaconate and presbyterate) were recommended by prelates or canons of the local chapters, nobility or city councils of the cities in Kujawy and Pomerania. Opis:: Głównym zagadnieniem niniejszej pracy jest walka Kościoła z herezjami od 2. połowy XII wieku do początków XIV wieku. W pierwszym rozdziale zostanie omówione zagadnienie wpływu diabła na formowanie herezji według nauki Kościoła katolickiego. W następnej kolejności zostanie omówiona herezja katarska. W następnym rozdziale przedstawione zostanie tło używanych przez Kościół metod walk z herezjami od starożytności do 2. połowy XII wieku. Następnie zostaną omówione etapy powstawania inkwizycji od 2. połowy XII wieku do początków XIV wieku. W ostatnim rozdziale przedstawiony będzie praktyczny wymiar działalności inkwizycji od XIII wieku do początków XIV wieku, czyli krucjata przeciw albigensom oraz działalność inkwizytorów. Ostatni przykład omówiony zostanie na podstawie procesów inkwizycyjnych opisanych w Księdze Inkwizycji Bernarda Gui oraz Processus factus contra templarios in Scotia 1309.
The main issue of this work is the Church's fight against heresy from the 2nd half of the 12th century to the early 14th century. The first chapter will discuss the issue of the influence of the devil on the formation of heresy according to the teaching of the Catholic Church. Next, Cathar heresy will be discussed. The next chapter will present the background of the methods used by the Church to fight against heresy from antiquity to the 2nd half of the 12th century. Next, the stages of formation of the Inquisition from the 2nd half of the 12th century to the beginning of the 14th century will be discussed. The last chapter will present the practical dimension of the activities of the Inquisition from the 13th century to the beginning of the 14th century, i.e. the crusade against the Albigenses and the activities of the Inquisitors. The last example will be discussed on the basis of the Inquisition processes described in Bernard Gui's Inquisition Book and Processus factus contra templarios in Scotland 1309.
