- Opis:
- The article presents the results of experimental studies carried out on models of the human mandible, subjected to changes in the primary bone geometry. The bone fragment was removed, similar to the treatment of neoplastic lesions in this area. As a result of a partial or complete marginalectomy, the diseased place is provided with a reconstructive implant. This implant allows you to strengthen and / or restore the continuity of the mandible. The implant is intended to take over the loads in the area of diseased areas. It also enables the patient to function normally during oncological treatment, such as radio and chemotherapy, followed by reconstruction. The data were obtained based on polyurethane models of the mandible bone with excision of lesions and bones provided with a reconstructive implant with the use of a variable number of fixation points, but with the observance of surgical standards. The influence of the number of attachment points on the recorded implant displacement value in individual planes was noted. Information on implant displacements in the analyzed planes is crucial directly in clinical practice as well as may affect the durability of boneimplant anastomosis.
