Opis:: A system for precise angular laser beam deflection by using a plane mirror is presented. The mirror was fixed to two supports attached to its edges. This article details the theoretical basis of how this deflector works. The spring deflection of a flat circular metal plate under a uniform axial buckling was used and the mechanical stress was generated by a piezoelectric layer. The characteristics of the deformation of the plate versus the voltage control of the piezoelectrics were examined and the value of the change resolution possible to obtain was estimated. An experimental system is presented and an experiment performed to examine this system. As a result, a resolution of displacement of 10^-8 rad and a range of 10^-5 rad were obtained.

Opis:: As part of a student project in cooperation with the Tatra National Park we examined the current state of iron ore, manganese ore and polymetallic ore in a few drifts in the Chochołowska and Kościeliska Valleys. Information about the old mining operations in the Western Tatras do not exist in the minds of tourists. An interesting way to show this history could be preparing and sharing parts of the drifts as geoturistic objects. An alternative solution would be to create a trail of old mining and metallurgy in the Tatras, which could help to increase the knowledge about the geology and mining subject among tourists. A combination of a great mining Tatra history with the attractively designed results of geological survey could be a particularly interesting project.
W ramach studenckiego projektu realizowanego we współpracy z Tatrzańskim Parkiem Narodowym zinwentaryzowano aktualny stan części sztolni: rud żelaza, manganu oraz rud polimetalicznych w rejonie Doliny Chochołowskiej i Doliny Kościeliskiej oraz przeprowadzono podstawowe badania mineralogiczne próbek w nich pobranych. W związku z tym, że informacje o starym górnictwie w Tatrach praktycznie nie istnieją w świadomości turystów, na pewno ciekawym, aczkolwiek trudnym logistycznie przedsięwzięciem, byłoby przygotowanie i udostępnienie części sztolni jako obiektów geoturystycznych. Alternatywnym rozwiązaniem mogłoby być stworzenie ścieżki dydaktycznej o starym górnictwie i hutnictwie w Tatrach, co mogłoby przyczynić się do zwiększenia zainteresowania tematyką geologiczno-górniczą wśród turystów. Połączenie wspaniałej historii górnictwa w Tatrach z atrakcyjnie opracowanymi wynikami badań geologicznych będzie, według autorów, wyjątkowo interesującym pod względem dydaktycznym i popularyzacyjnym przedsięwzięciem.

Opis:: The average fire gas temperature of multiple fires in a mine drift with longitudinal ventilation is investigated. The output of a quasi-steady model is investigated and compared with experimental results from model scale fire experiments. During the analysis it was found that the calculated average fire gas temperature of the model correlates quite well with the measured temperature, except for the period when the fire closest to the measuring point reached a peak of heat release rate. This poor correlation is likely due to flame impingement as the distance to the nearest fire decreases. Uncertainty of the calculations is caused by the fire gas temperature at the site of each individual fire and further studies into the fire growth rate and maximum heat release rates of multiple fires are recommended in order to remedy this uncertainty. When calculating the average fire gas temperature, a key parameter is determined with respect to the smoke spread in a mine drift as well as the risk of fire spread.

Opis:: The paper focuses on the reduction of negative effects on the railway exogenous processes (sand bars, landslides, etc.). Proposed to introduce a system of design, construction and operation of natural and technical objects set of organizational and technical measures, consisting of techniques: the choice of method, to map the distribution of exogenous events, the development of a program of measures for the protection and the optimization of the work program, assess the quality and effectiveness. Methodological elements are developed by the author of the complex method of risk assessment exogenous expression and scale of priorities of road elements of the defense.
Статья посвяще на вопросам снижения негативного воздействия на железнодорожный путь экзогенных процессов (песчаные заносы, оползни, обвалы и др.). Для этого предлагается ввести в систему проектирования, строительства и эксплуатации природно-технических объектов комплекс организационно-технологических мероприятий, реализуемых в следующей логической последовательности: составление карты распространения экзогенного явления; выбор способов защиты; разработка программы реализации защитных мероприятий, ее оптимизация; оценка качества и результативности работ. Методологическими элементами комплекса являются разработанные автором методики оценки опасности экзогенного проявления и приоритетов элементов дороги на защиту.

Opis:: The throttle effect is a phenomenon, which may occur during a fire underground, causing unforeseen smoke spread. This paper focuses on the modelling of the throttle effect in a mine drift, using a CFD software. The aim of the paper is to investigate whether the CFD tool is able to predict and reproduce the throttle effect for fire scenarios underground. Experimental data from fire experiments in a model-scale mine drift and modelling results from a CFD model were used during the analysis. It was found that the CFD model was not able to fully reproduce the throttle effect for fire scenarios in a mine drift. The inability was due to the under prediction of the fire gas temperature at the ceiling level and the over prediction of the temperatures at the lower levels. The difficulties occurred foremost during transient periods with high fire growth rates. Given the difficulties in modelling the thermal stratification and the throttle effect, the use of CFD models should be mainly for qualitative analysis. Qualitative analysis could possibly be performed for non-transient and low intensity fires.

Nanocząstki magnetyczne z rdzeniem Fe₃O₄ pokryte otoczką aminosilanową, zostały zsyntetyzowane celem oceny ich przydatności w zakresie separacji makromolekuł (DNA). Zastosowanie nanocząstek do izolacji kwasów nukleinowych może stanowić podstawę do ustalenia nowych standardów diagnostycznych w biologii molekularnej.
The separation and purification of nucleic acids is an essential step in most of the procedures and techniques used in molecular biology. There are many procedures describing the method of DNA isolation, which result in obtaining a RNA-free DNA, proteins and other compounds that may interfere in subsequent analyzes. Magnetic nanoparticles coated by aminosilanes, were synthesized in order to assess their suitability for the separation of macromolecules (DNA). The use of nanoparticles for the isolation of nucleic acids may provide the basis for setting new standards for diagnostic molecular biology.

Opis:: This article is based on the theoretical foundations of secure mobile sand being considered for reducing the negative impact of one of the manifestations of exogenous plains on such an important natural-technical system as a railroad. It suggests practical measures to build a system of design protection against sand drifts. The article also suggests ways to conserve resources and rational use of machinery and performers as well as the consolidation of mobile sand wet with water soluble waste of local production of waste dextrin. Consolidation is exposed on dry and wet sand.
В статье, основываясь на теоретических положениях снижения негативного влияния экзогенных проявлений на железную дорогу, в частности, борьбы с песчаными заносами и исходя из практики закрепления подвижных песков, а также в целях экономии ресурсов и рационального использования машин и исполнителей, делается вывод о преимуществе водорастворимых вяжущих веществ из отходов местной промышленности, например, декстрина и применения его и других рекомендованных вяжущих в песках влажного состояния.

"Zamek Książ" and his wartime "mystery". Tourist attraction or place of commemoration.

Opis:: Przedmiotem mojego zainteresowania jest owiana „tajemnicą” historia podziemi powstałych w Sudetach w ramach tajnego planu III Rzeszy, znanego pod kryptonimem Riese (Olbrzym), w tym zwłaszcza tych usytuowanych pod Zamkiem Książ. Zasadnicze pytanie, na jakie staram się odpowiedzieć, to na ile Zamek Książ i jego podziemia przyciągają dzisiaj zwiedzających jako miejsce związane z martyrologią Polaków ( „miejsce upamiętniania” ) czy ewentualnie przedwojenną historią tego zabytku, a na ile jest to atrakcja turystyczna (w ramach tzw. turystyki militarnej) przede wszystkim ze względu na tajemniczy system podziemnych grot i korytarzy wydrążonych przez Niemców w czasie II wojny. W pracy wykorzystuję kilka rodzajów źródeł. Przedstawiając fakty historycznie poświadczone, dotyczące Zamku Książ i kompleksu Riese, odwołuję się do kilku opracowań jakie na ten temat powstały. Starając się prześledzić „legendowe” wersje historii zamku i „tajemnicy” z nim związanej analizuję treść opracowań popularnych, przewodników oraz informacji przekazywanych na ten temat w mediach. Zebrałam także materiał przeprowadzając rozmowy z mieszkańcami oraz osobami związanymi z zawodowo z tym miejscem. Uzupełniają to wyniki obserwacji uczestniczącej, ponieważ w charakterze uczestnika wycieczki z przewodnikiem odbyłam dwie „podróże” podziemnymi korytarzami udostępnianymi zwiedzającym.
The subject of my interest is shrouded in "mystery" story of the underworld created in the Sudetenland as part of a secret plan of the Third Reich, known under the codename Riese (The Giant), especially those located under the Zamek Książ. The crucial question, to which I am trying to answer is how Zamek Książ and its underground attract today visitors as a place associated with the martyrdom of Poles ("place of remembrance"), or possibly prewar history of this monument, and to what extent a tourist attraction (in the so-called tourism military), mainly due to a mysterious system of underground caves and tunnels hollowed by the Germans during World War II. At work I use several types of sources. Presenting the facts historically attested, on Zamek Książ and the complex Riese, I refer you to several studies on the subject arose. In an attempt to trace the legendary versions of the history of the castle and the "mystery" of the ensuing studies analyze the content of popular guides and information provided on this topic in the media. Also I gathered material by conducting interviews with residents and persons associated with working with this place. Complement the results of participant observation as a participant in a guided tour made two "travel" underground passages made available to the public.
