Das Bilderbuch Flotsam zeigt einen Jungen, der am Strand Tieren begegnet und mit einem Treibgut, einer Analogkamera, eine ungewöhnliche Unterwasserwelt entdeckt. Im Buch wird das Mensch-Tier-Verhältnis dialektisch im Kontext der visuellen Wahrnehmung reflektiert, wobei die Kunst, nämlich die Foto- und bildende Kunst, sowie die Literatur als Medien zur Reflektion vorgeführt werden.
The picture book Flotsam depicts a boy who meets animals at a beach and finds an analog camera as flotsam, with which he discovers a peculiar underwater world.
