Opis:: The interest in innovation in public sector, especially in municipalities, is extensively growing. The paper focuses on exogenous factors shaping changes and/or innovation in public services. The results of investigated cases and Delphi studies in Central Europe are briefly presented. A critical evaluation of the approach applied by authors follows. The learning outcome of the research may be valuable to public managers, innovative businesses and policy-makers who pursuit opportunities and try to analyze various influences on the public service.

Opis:: In this paper the use of correspondence analysis for interpretation of the Delphi survey results was described. The analysis is based on the data obtained through the double-round Delphi survey carried out within the project ‘Mazovia Economic Information Center’. Analyses were conducted on issues related to the on the economic growth of the Mazovia region. The results obtained within the study indicate a noticeable relationship between the location and size of the company headquarters and the assessment of the significance and likelihood of execution of the selected Delphi theses.

Opis:: The introduction of the special issue on the construction of the future of platforms provides the paradigmatic, conceptual and methodological framework for this special issue. Starting from a brief outline of the characteristics of the field of futures studies, the article supports the call to better embed in social and political theory, and frames the special issue, with its constructionist emphasis, as a contribution to this debate. In addition, the article provides an overview of the Delphi+ workshop method that was used, and describes the centralized data gathering process, into which all research articles of this special issue tap, to then produce their distinct analyses. This motivates the need to read this introduction alongside the five research articles that have been included in this special issue.
