Opis:: Laboratory tests are the cheapest and easily accessible source of medical information about a patient. Although they make an important and frequently decisive element of the diagnostic and therapeutic process, the expenditure on tests in Poland is many times lower than that in other countries of the European Union. The Supreme Audit Office, in accordance with its work plan and guided by the suggestions of the Parliamentary Health Committee, has conducted an audit to evaluate the organisation, quality, access to and financing of the activities related to laboratory diagnostics. The audit comprised: the Ministry of Health, medical entities and laboratory diagnostics subcontractors, including medical diagnostic laboratories in six regions of Poland.

Opis:: Transform the way of visual indication of vehicle traction parameters and the introduction of instinctive, concentrated in one place on-board device service is now possible following the development of microprocessor systems. Centralize system for diagnosis and control of the vehicle in a single desktop, such as the one described here, brings except cost savings also facilitation in addition to the driver and service. Indicators of vehicle speed, engine rpm and other parameters of traction, and the rates and indication of operation states used for additional equipment during the performance of the activities are concentrated in one place. Controls elements, such as circuit breakers, switches and buttons are placed within the areas of appropriate comfort are grouped into blocks that are functionally similar, which further facilitates their location and service. The modern, multi-track switches allow additional control versatility, while reducing their volume, which facilitates access to each of them. Panel equipped with universal input and output circuits and system software provides the flexibility to work with the latest generation of sensors and actuators, and components used previously as well. This allows the design of modern devices and simple upgrading of vehicles already in service.

Opis:: The article presents a methodology of technical condition assessment of masonry and timber structures of historical buildings, demonstrated on the example of palace complex at Gorzanów. Based on a comprehensive diagnostic study prepared by the authors, both on location and in the laboratory, a flowchart was developed to illustrate technical condition assessment procedures for historical buildings as well as for determining existing damage. The flowchart presented here may be found helpful by those providing expert opinions while designing their research and determining damage causes and investors who undertake such a difficult task as an adaptation of historical buildings to modern functional requirements.

The article features a description of a network terminal unit - a field controller with integrated protection functions. The analysis of energy quality was carried out, along with extended auto-diagnostics which covered complete current and voltage analogue lines and was conducted without work interruptions. Additionally, the article describes advanced technologies of digital signal processing which were applied in the unit.

Opis:: W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań na stanowisku z kinematycznym wymuszeniem harmonicznym, przeprowadzonych dla zawieszenia hydropneumatycznego samochodu Citroen BX. Rejestrowano przyśpieszenia wybranych elementów pojazdu dla różnych stanów technicznych zawieszenia hydropneumatycznego (wartości ciśnień azotu w sferze). Przeprowadzono analizy FFT sygnałów przyspieszeń nadwozia dla stacjonarnej części wymuszenia i zestawiono widma dla różnych stanów technicznych zawieszenia hydropneumatycznego.
The paper presents results of researches made on kinematic extortion test stand of Citroen BX hydropneumatic suspension. The accelerations of chosen elements was measured for different technical conditions (value of nitrogen pressure in hydropneumatic sphere). There was Fast Fourier Transform of body accelerations made for stationary part of signal and the spectrums for different technical conditions of hydropneumatic suspension was compared.

Opis:: Changes in operating properties of the internal combustion engine, for various reasons, may manifest themselves with similar symptoms. An example is the drop in engine power, which may be caused by malfunctioning of the system such as power supply, or excessive wear geometric kinematic pairs as the piston-crankshaft. Identification of the causes of malfunction is the basis for carrying out corrective action. In practice, the workshop frequent disability are different manifestations of the drive units having identical symptoms. An alternative to iterative repair methods is the introduction of diagnostic tools that will help identify causes of failure, without having to remove the individual motor units. These provisions comply with the method of vibration analysis. The vibration signals provide information about the technical condition of the object. The paper presents examples of applying the methods of vibration in the identification of changes in the technical condition of the engine, which confirm their usefulness in identifying sources of failure. During the process of investigations, time courses of vibration accelerations were recorded with piezoelectric transducer mounted at half height of the first cylinder, perpendicular to its axis. The worked out method is based on vibration signals recorded at engine operation. The dominant amplitude components of time courses are strongly connected with air- fuel mixture ignition as well as with kinetic pairs of the engine.

Opis:: In the paper selected problems related to diagnostics of onboard generators and alternators fitted with control systems are discussed. Problems refer to commutator generators and synchronous single- and threephase alternators. Special attention is paid to commutation effects. Results of incorrectness and possibility to detect them are discussed. There are also discussed effects associated with changes in a character of pulsation, which occur during shortings or insulation clearances in rotor or stator wiring. Possibility of diagnosis of generator’s or alternator’s parts by means of analysis of pulsation component parameters is indicated. In the case of alternators a number of diagnostic methods based on observation of changes in shape of voltage or frequency modulation, is discussed. This allows to detect many mechanical or electrical faults of generators, alternators or their control systems.

Opis:: The paper describes standard methods of diagnosing of the AMV (the Rosomak) drive unit technical condition used in daily operation in military missions in Afghanistan. Main rule of the method of diagnosing of the vehicle technical condition is using an external diagnosing system. This system is connected to the vehicle at the time of checking of operation of the powertrain control system configuration of the drive unit to permit the diagnosis, including examination of the engine and gearbox. Enhanced diagnostic system is connected to the OBD system with using standard PC computer with appropriate software. Stored examples of the results of the operation of such system are included in the paper. Measuring was led on a dynamometer stand to perform research of a propulsion unit in work condition. Measurements of the engine parameters were led in steady state and transient engine operating conditions. Unsteady-state condition studies were carried out using the method of free-range acceleration of the engine. Pointed out the merits of the development of this type of study due to the perceived potential and usefulness of the results obtained. The results of studies carried out by various methods and assess the current condition of the engine and the entire powertrain were compared.
