Opis:: La mia tesi di laurea riguarda l'analisi cognitiva delle espressioni della lingua italiana che contengono le parole lingua e bocca e ha come scopo esaminare la presenza in esse delle metafore e metonimie concettuali. Il primo capitolo introduce diversi campi di ricerca della linguistica cognitiva. Il secondo capitolo presenta il tema della metafora concettuale dai punti di vista di vari studiosi. Nella sezione seguente si passa alla descrizione della metonimia concettuale, dopo cui ci si concentra sulle interazioni tra i due fenomeni concettuali. Il quinto capitolo presenta gli esiti dell'analisi delle suddette espressioni.
Praca dotyczy analizy kognitywnej włoskich wyrażeń zawierających wyrazy lingua i bocca pod kątem występowania w nich metafor i metonimii pojęciowych. Pierwszy rozdział jest wprowadzeniem teoretycznym opisującym podstawowe założenia lingwistyki kognitywnej. W drugim rozdziale przedstawione są różne teorie dotyczące metafory pojęciowej. Trzeci rozdział prezentuje kognitywną teorię metonimii. W kolejnym rozdziale opisuje się różne interakcje pomiędzy dwoma systemami pojęciowymi, noszące nazwę 'metaftonimii'. Rozdział piąty to analiza włoskich wyrażeń z wyrazami lingua i bocca.
The work presents a cognitive analysis of expressions in Italian containing the words lingua and bocca, in search for the presence of conceptual metaphors and metonymies. The first chapter is an introduction that describes the theoretical basic assumptions of cognitive linguistics. The second chapter in a review of different theories of conceptual metaphor . The third chapter presents the cognitive theory of metonymy . The next chapter describes the various interactions between the two conceptual systems, so called metaphtonymy. The fifth chapter is the analysis of Italian expressions with the words bocca and lingua.

Opis:: In the text, I address the subject of neurocognitive science, art and literature in various perspectives, whose connecting point is the perspective of the experiencing subject and her embodiment. The embodied and involved subject reveals through her ailments and suffering dimensions of experience not always visible in the state of health and well-being. The starting point of my deliberations are issues in the field of neurocognitive science and neuroesthetics as the areas that attempt to explain the neurobiological mechanisms of perception of art and literature. Next, I refer to research in the field of neuroanthropology, through which the positive and creative dimensions of the illness experience are noticed. I also refer to psychopathology as an area that shows the dimensions of human experience in a much more fundamental way than it is able to show the experience of everyday life.

Opis:: The article analyzes the ways of producing cultural representations of disability in theatre, film, literature and society. It draws attention to their dialectical structure, which problematizes - as in the case of the figure of the disabled avenger from Malina Prześluga’s drama "Debil" – a positive going beyond the oppositions of good and evil, agency and passivity. The author emphasizes the need to perceive not only metaphorical but also materialistic dimensions of disability in order to deconstruct and dislocate (and not only duplicate) ableist clichés. The key role in this process is played by the categories of embodiment and lived experience, as well as the strategies of "staring back" (R. Garland-Thomson) used by contemporary Polish artists with disabilities.

Opis:: All my sour-sweet days I will lament and love – a comparative analysis of metaphors with the basic taste adjectives in Polish and EnglishThis paper provides a comparative analysis of verbal synesthetic metaphors with the basic taste adjectives in Polish and English: słodki/sweet, gorzki/bitter, kwaśny/sour, słony/salty. Since taste seems to be an ideal candidate for a universal, biologically determined source of metaphors, the authors seek to verify the hypothesis of metaphor embodiment. The corpus-based analysis of nominal phrases with basic Polish and English taste adjectives indicates that cultural influences on the metaphorical mapping, as well as the importance of the target conceptual domains, must be taken into account. Percepcja smakowa, uwarunkowana biologicznie, wydaje się dobrym przykładem uniwersalnej domeny źródłowej w procesie metaforyzacji. Celem pracy jest weryfikacja kognitywnej teorii o metaforze ucieleśnionej oraz sprawdzenie, w jakim stopniu na proces metaforyzacji wpływają czynniki kulturowe.

Opis:: In her article, the author describes slow cinema as one of the most important tendencies in contemporary art-house cinema, simultaneously focusing on its temporal emanations. The text emphasizes the notion of rhythm and divides it into two subcategories: external and internal rhythm. The latter is close to the embodied experience, therefore it influences viewers affectively, as a somatic resonance. It enables a spectator's intensive engagement in slow films. The author's argumentation is based on rhythm research and existential phenomenology.

Opis:: Artykuł rozpatruje stosunek nurtu transhumanistycznego do cielesności człowieka. Autor w pierwszym rzędzie przedstawia sześć rozumień cielesności według Toma Ziemke'go, w tym również takie, które przybliżają transhumanistyczną człowieka przyszłości. Następnie analizuje rolę ciała w projekcie postczłowieka, aby w sekcji końcowej ukazać dwuznaczne, ambiwalentne nastawienie do cielesności, stanowiące centralny problemat artykułu.
The article examines the relation between transhumanism and the notion of corporeity. The author presents six approaches to corporeity according to Tom Ziemke, including those which are favorable to the transhumanist vision of the future. Then the author examines the role of the human body in the transhumanist project of the posthuman. In the last, central section it is argued that transhumanism displays an ambivalent view towards corporeity.
