Opis:
The article discusses the methods of defining and describing the processes of learning in what is generally acknowledged as the learning environment. In the contemporary pedagogical discourse the category of the “learning environment” (formerly associated with the surroundings of school and the classroom) is always expanding and acquiring new meanings, in the wake of ecological changes and the virtualisation of contemporary culture. The “learning environment” becomes a part of the ongoing descholarisation, which manifests itself, for example, in the “open space” movement, outdoor education or “Gesamtschule”, the trends related to the transfer of education outside of school. In the last part of the text, a postulate is formed to include a “learning for the environment” category to the pedagogical theory and practice. This stems from the need to deepen the social sensitivity of the threat of degradation of the entire ecosystem in which we live today.

Opis:
The dynamics of the processes taking place in an environment, which is rendered in the altered perception of the character of this environment, induces a need to find answers to the following questions: (1) How do managers perceive an environment in the dimensions of stability/ changeability and friendliness/unfriendliness? (2) Is there a correlation between the stability/changeability and friendliness/unfriendliness of an environment, i.e. if an environment is more stable, is it perceived as more friendly, and if an environment is more changeable is it perceived as unfriendly? (3) Does environmental stability/changeability as well as friendliness/unfriendliness exert any influence on organizational effectiveness? In an attempt to answer the above quoted questions, the article’s objective has been defined as a discussion on the interdependencies perceived by managers between an environment’s dimensions of stability/changeability and friendliness/unfriendliness (analysed in terms of institutional categories) and the organizational effectiveness of Polish enterprises. The managers evaluated the legal environment as the least stable. In their opinion, that milieu was also more intimidating than friendly. Concurrently, a technological environment was perceived by the respondents as the most stable and favourable. The results of the effected research allow forming a conclusion concerning the existing correlation between the friendliness and stability of particular categories of an environment, at the same time pointing out to the occurrence of correlations between stability/changeability and friendliness/unfriendliness of some categories of an environment and the organizational effectiveness of the examined enterprises.

Opis:
Interaction Analysis has been explored for the initiating topics, turn taking, and asking and answering questions in face-to-face learning environments during the last decades. This study investigated the form and sequence of the questions and answers in an asynchronous environment from a non-interventionist point of view. To conduct the research, 16 questions and answers from the discussion boards of an eight-week international online research course from 30 participants were copied, classified, and analyzed according to the Hmelo-Silver and Barrows’ (2008) grid. All the questions were classified as long-answer, short-answer, and task-oriented questions and their frequencies were calculated. Also, the presence of the Initiation, Response, and Feedback/Inquiry (IRFI) pattern was examined The results indicated that the largest number of questions fell under long-answer types and the participants were more motivated in responding the long-answer queries relating directly to the immediate studied materials or asking about definitions and personal ideas. The findings supported the idea that IRFI pattern might not be applicable in asynchronous environments. Therefore, the instructional patterns need to be designed carefully according to the needs of the new contexts. This study could enhance meaningful interactions in online educational settings such as language learning, teacher training, and professional development.

Opis:
The aim of this work was to estimate mobility of pollutants contained in ashsludge granulates, expressed by their possibilities of elution by water and by estimating their potential danger to the environment. Materials used in experimental research (one stage leaching tests) was ash-sludge granulates made of two different kinds of waste: fly ashes from brown coal (30%) from 'Bełchatów' Powerplant and communal sewage sludge (70%) from municipal sewage treatment plant in Zabrze (southern Poland). However sewage sludge are an alternative to organic fertilizers (e.g. manure) and nitrogen and phosphorus content is relatively high but potassium concentrations are much less. Tested sewage sludge were modified by various potassium salts, which would improve their fertilizing abilities because potassium is easy-leaching element during sewage treatment. In first part of sewages KCl and in second K2SO4 were used both in load 344 g/kg d.m. Blank tests were carried on unmodified material. One stage leaching test were carried and equilibrium was reached after 24 hours. Water extracts (eluates) were analyzed for presence of nitrogen group compounds, phosphorus, chlorides, sulphates, magnesium, calcium and heavy metals. Also loads of particular compounds were calculated. On the basis of research (leaching test) there has been calculated a load of the pollution that were being washed out in mg/kg dry mass of used granulates. Eluates obtained in one-stage leaching tests had alkaline pH and high EC value which rise with potassium concentrations. In eluates from tested materials some parameters (e.g. ammonium, nitrites, COD, sulphates and potassium) exceed polish limits for sewages discharged to waters and grounds. Especially high were chlorides concentrations (10 times to high) due to KCl content. The highest heavy metals concentrations were observed in eluates from granulates modified by K2SO4 due to lower pH value in comparison to unmodified material. In next step in this researches will be to find optimal balance between fly ash and sewage sludge and use compounds for pH corrections.

Assessment of the stability of a genotype to different environments is useful for recommending genotypes for known conditions of cultivation and should be a requirement in plant breeding programs. Nonparametric models do not require parametric assumptions and are good alternatives for parametric measurements to genotypes × environments (GE) interaction study.Twelve maize (Zea mays L.) genotypes were tested at eleven locations in for two years (22 environments). The experiments involved a randomized complete block design in which twelve nonparametric procedures were used to analyze genotype stability. Results of nonparametric tests of GE interaction and combined ANOVA showed there were both noncrossover and crossover GE interaction...

The subject of the considerations contained in the study is an attempt to determine whether when creating the content of Art. 4 of the Act of April 27, 2001, Environmental Protection Law, was used as a model for solutions regarding the use of water contained in the Water Law Act. This view is expressed quite often in the reference literature. The analysis carried out in this paper proves that such a view is not sufficiently justified, as evidenced primarily by significant differences in the regulation method used in Art. 4 and in the Water Law Act.

Opis:
The presence of fluoride in exceeding limits and related problems of drinking water prevailing in many parts of India is well documented. Fluoride in drinking water is known for having both beneficial and detrimental effects on health. Many solutions to these problems were also suggested. Fluoride from water or wastewater can be removed by an ion exchange/adsorption process or by a coagulation, precipitation process. The ion exchange/adsorption can be applied to either concentrated or diluted solutions and they are capable of achieving complete removal under proper conditions. The method suitable for a given situation needs to be judiciously selected considering the various aspects. The paper presents the current information on fluoride in environment and its effects on human health, as well as available methods of defluoridation in detail.

This paper aims to analyse the scope of constitutional reform no. 1/2022, approved last 8th February by the Italian Parliament, with which the Articles 9 and 41 of the Constitution have been modified. Thanks to this amendment, the environment (the ecosystem and biodiversity) has been included as a legal asset subject that needs an expressed protection. Specifically, it is possible to highlight the critical profiles concerning the balance that the legislator has already intended to offer at a regulatory level between respect for the environment and private economic activities. In this field, the Ilva case-law represents a milestone for the Constitutional Court and the Italian legislator.

Opis:
Goal The goal of this article is to present the author’s definition of security environment. It constitutes a redefinition and expansion of the narrow (four-element) approach presented in the White Book on National Security of the Republic of Poland. I propose a broad, eight-element approach. Methods I redefine security environment based on several premises. The first is the concept of the triangle of (the need for) security – the existence of this triangle necessitates and is sufficient for the need for security to arise. The second premise is the existence of the rhombus of security (culture), which necessitates and is sufficient for security to manifest, i.e. for the need for security to be satisfied. Results The above premises lead to the conclusion that the narrow approach to security environment should be ontically expanded to include elements comprising the triangle of the (need for) security and the security (culture) rhombus. This results in an eight-element definition of security environment. Conclusions The article illustrates an important issue in the security sciences – the need to expand the definition of security environment. I present and justify an alternative to the narrow approach to security environment, which is based on the narrow definition presented in the White Book on National Security of the Republic of Poland.
