Opis:: The purpose of this paper is to answer the question whether, despite the differentiation of the corporate income tax in the European Union, there are similarity patterns allowing for the harmonization of the bases of this tax. The analysed CIT static data both quantitative and qualitative concerns the years 2018 and 2020. The method of hierarchical cluster analysis allowed a grouping of EU countries according to their similarities. It also indicated the greatest tax diefrences between EU member states. In turn the afinity analysis made it possible to distinguish groups of countries which are similar in terms of CIT with the simultaneous identification of a pattern. Results show that despite significant diefrences in tax rates some EU states show convergence in tax bases. The geographical criterion still plays an important role in determining CIT structure and tax incentives are one of the tools that may be used in the approximation of the bases.

Opis:: Praca jest analizą wpływu członkowska w Unii Europejskiej na rozwój gospodarczy Węgier. W pracy została ujęta droga Węgier od kraju postsocjalistycznego do demokratycznej republiki. Ponadto opisano negocjacje z Unią oraz jak odbywało się dołączenie kraju do Unii Europejskiej. Zdefiniowano pojęcie integracji, jej formy oraz determinanty integracji w krajach rozwijających się. Opisano wybrane klasyczne koncepcje integracji gospodarczej. Metodyką oceny wpływu integracji była analiza wskaźnikowa. Głównym celem badawczym było wyjaśnienie czy przystąpienie Węgier do Unii w 2004 było korzystne dla kraju. Analiza wskaźnikowa pozwoliła odpowiedzieć na główne pytanie badawcze oraz pokazała pozytywne efekty integracji dla Węgier. Do analizy zostały zastosowane podstawowe wskaźniki gospodarcze i społeczne pobrane z urzędów statystycznych. Wykorzystano miedzy innymi wskaźnik ubóstwa i zatrudnienia, stopa bezrobocia, PKB na mieszkańca oraz tempo jego wzrostu.
The thesis is an analysis of the impact of the membership in the European Union on the economic development of Hungary. The work covers Hungary's path from a post-socialist country to a democratic republic. Moreover, the negotiations with the EU were described and how the country joined the European Union. The concept of integration, its forms and determinants of integration in developing countries were defined. Selected classical concepts of economic integration are described. The methodology for assessing the impact of integration was the ratio analysis. The main research goal was to clarify whether Hungary's accession to the EU in 2004 was beneficial for the country. The ratio analysis allowed to answer the main research question and showed the positive effects of integration for Hungary. Basic economic and social indicators taken from statistical offices were used for the analysis. Among others, the poverty and employment rate, unemployment rate, GDP per capita and its growth rate were used.

The purpose of the research is to demonstrate the impact of the Ukrainian crisis on economic integration of Ukraine with the EU. The research has been based on a mixed methodology due to the interdisciplinary subject of the article. The sequential exploratory strategy has been used. The research proves the Ukrainian crisis contributes to the trade exchange instability and causes disruptions in capital cooperation between the EU and Ukraine. The serious crisis shows how important a solid policy is to integrate this country with the EU.

The thesis also descriebes genesis and legal principles of economic freedom in European Union, as legal rules that were assumed by Poland during european integration.

Opis:: Celem pracy jest przyjrzenie się roli Europejskiego Banku Centralnego w obszarze wspierania i nadzorowania systemów płatniczych. Dokonano w niej również analizy podstawowych kompetencji Europejskiego Banku Centralnego i scharakteryzowano jego funkcjonowanie na przestrzeni lat. Jako metodę badawczą przyjęto studia literaturowe, które objęły w szczególności analizę prac polskich autorów takich jak: W. Baka, B. Bernaś, A. Wierzchowska, A. Marszałek. Posłużono się również opublikowanymi dokumentami Unii Europejskiej oraz danymi z oficjalnych stron internetowych – Europejskiego Banku Centralnego, Eurostatu, Narodowego Banku Polskiego. Europejskie systemy płatności i rozrachunku dynamicznie rozwijają się od końca lat 90., kiedy to wprowadzony został system TARGET. W kolejnych latach doszło do szeregu przekształceń systemu, z którego wyewoluował następnie TARGET2. Unia Europejska angażuje się również w nadzorowanie innych systemów będąc niejednokrotnie ich pomysłodawcą. Europejski Bank Centralny jest wciąż głównym innowatorem w dziedzinie płatności. Istniejące systemy są nieustannie przekształcane tak, aby zapewnić bezpieczeństwo klientom i ograniczyć różne rodzaje ryzyka.
The aim of this essay is to look at the role of the European Central Bank in supporting and monitoring payment systems. This essay analyses also basic competencies of the European Central Bank and describes its activity over the years. As a research method was chosen analyzing publications of the Polish autors: W. Baka, B. Bernaś, A. Wierzchowska, A. Marszałek. There were also used documents published by European Union and data from the official websites of European Central Bank, Eurostat, National Bank of Poland. European payment and clearing systems have been dynamically evolved since nineties, when TARGET was established. In the next years there were many modifications of the system and finally TARGET2 came into being. The European Union engages itself in monitoring other systems and sometimes is an initiator of them. The European Central Bank is still the main innovator in payment systems area. All of the systems are converted into better systems, which can ensure the safety of customers and reduce various kinds of risk.

Opis:: Niniejsza praca dotyczy zagadnienia integracji gospodarczej oraz polityki rozszerzenia Unii Europejskiej. Na przestrzeni ostatniego roku zauważalne stało się zainteresowanie integracją europejską na linii Ukraina-UE, chociaż nie jest to zjawisko zasadniczo nowe. Praca wykazuje ewolucję wspólnotowej polityki akcesyjnej Unii Europejskiej oraz jaką rolę odgrywają instytucje unijne i państwa członkowskie jako regulatory rozszerzeń. Wyjaśnione zostały działania podejmowane wobec wybranych państw aplikujących na członkostwo na przykładzie Austrii, Finlandii i Szwecji jako przykładów najszybszych procesów integracji europejskiej oraz Bałkanów Zachodnich jako potencjalnych członków Unii Europejskie (na przykładzie Republiki Albanii, Czarnogóry oraz Republiki Macedonii Północnej).Celem niniejszej pracy magisterskiej jest zgromadzenie i usystematyzowanie informacji na temat procesu akcesyjnego badanej grupy państw, a także ich porównanie wykorzystując metodę benchmarkingu, czyli poszukiwania najlepszych dotąd istniejących praktyk, by stworzyć predykcję przystąpienia Ukrainy do Unii Europejskiej. Wnioski, które pojawiały się przy analizie materiału, o który jest oparta niniejsza praca magisterska stały się fundamentem do sformułowania predykcji badawczej, która polega na porównaniu doświadczeń akcesyjnych badanej grupy państw.
This work deals with the issue of economic integration and the enlargement policy of the European Union. Over the past year, interest in European integration on the Ukraine-EU line has become noticeable. The work shows the evolution of the European Union's accession policy and the role played by EU institutions and member states as enlargement regulators. Actions taken towards selected countries applying for membership were explained on the example of Austria, Finland and Sweden as examples of the fastest processes of European integration and the Western Balkans as potential members of the European Union (on the example of the Republic of Albania, Montenegro and the Republic of North Macedonia).The purpose of this master's thesis is to collect and systematize information on the accession process of the examined group of countries, as well as to compare them using the benchmarking method, i.e. searching for the best existing practices to create a prediction of Ukraine's accession to the European Union. The conclusions that emerged from the analysis of the material on which this master's thesis is based became the foundation for formulating a research prediction, which consists in comparing the accession experiences of the examined group of countries.

Opis:: This paper is compiled with the objective of critically analysing whether the European Union can be classified as an integrated economy, focusing on the level of economic convergence. Against this backdrop, the current level of economic integration is assessed taking into account empirical research performed by other scholars and economic indicators shown by member states over the years 2004-2014. Results indicate that the European Union is a heterogeneous block of economic clusters with varying degrees of economic health, trends and capabilities. The heterogeneities hinder implementation of policy, which in turn prevents further integration. A “three-fold” solution for achieving a higher level of economic integration is discussed, which incorporates (i) differential treatment of member states depending on prevailing economic conditions, (ii) the establishment of a European Economic Government, and (iii) the introduction of parallel currency regimes in Eurozone countries with ailing economic health.

Opis:: The path of European economic integration these days seems to be dominated by the European Union – its functioning and current challenges. It is however worth emphasizing, that the process of European integration together with commercial and trade aspects thereof, includes also elements which remain beyond the mainstream of Union–oriented debate and involve countries not being EU Member States. European Economic Area (EEA) is a good example of that. The supranational model of integration combined with inclinations towards more traditional, intergovernmental, concept of cooperation resulted in a very interesting form of economic integration grouping. The motives for establishing EEA, the mosaic of interests represented by states engaged, the economic conditionings in that respect and – finally – the character of EEA and the peculiar instruments of decision-making are then worth a closer analysis. No less important are perspectives of EEA further development. Those problems are the main elements of considerations presented in this contribution.
