Opis:: The pandemic outbreak in 2020 has influenced all aspects of social life. We focus on the education system and its impact on social (in)equality using Poland’s case to analyse them, through the notion of Bordieuan social field and knowledge-power relations. We claim that lockdown put into motion important processes or even systemic changes of education, by the emancipation and empowerment mechanism of social actors that aspire to be an active part of the educational field. In Poland, we deal with a static, centralized and hierarchic system. The time of pandemic made the field of education more dynamic. New actors were invited with the result that the power-knowledge relations changed. In this frame, we put the question about educational inequalities. We ask how the educational field is changing in face of the unforeseen and scarcely manageable global pandemic risk. Do they mean less in the global pandemic context or, on the contrary, are they strengthened?

Opis:: The article aims at presenting the phenomenon of taking private lessons by secondary school leavers in Poland, Ukraine and Hungary. The research is an attempt to give an answer to the question of the scale of the phenomenon and its causes. In the research the survey method was used. The sample was of quota character. The research sample in Poland consisted of 3,479 respondents, 1,289 in Ukraine and 359 in Hungary. The collected data indicate that private lessons were taken by 52% of the respondents in Poland, 60% in Hungary and 71% in Ukraine. The results of correlative analysis indicate that private lessons were taken most often by the school leavers from the families of higher socio-economic status, having higher life aspirations and equipped with cultural capital with better average marks. Private lessons were taken more often in cities among students attending better schools. In the researched countries private lessons were taken in order to increase marks on the Matura exam as well as in order to get to a dream university. Perceiving private lessons as a “lifebelt” for students who lack knowledge was observed less often. Youth of higher status perceived private lessons as a strategy of building up advantage in the field of education.

Opis:: RESEARCH OBJECTIVE: The problem of introducing expert examination of education management is relevant and pressing for Ukraine in the context of assessment of education quality at all levels. The purpose of the article is to substantiate the effectiveness of the model of training experts in the field of education on the basis of educology at Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University. THE RESEARCH PROBLEM AND METHODS: When processing the obtained empirical data, statistical methods were used to compare the indicators of the Master’s student survey before and after the course of educology according to Pearson’s criteria, Fisher’s test, and the Mann-Whitney-U test Venn diagram. THE PROCESS OF ARGUMENTATION: Training experts in the field of education is based on the model: 1) mastering the basics of educology and its components; 2) mastering the methodology of the examination and the ethical standards of its implementation; and 3) mastering the specifics of the educational segment which is subject to expert examination. RESEARCH RESULTS: The study confirms the efficiency of the developed model of experts’ training in the field of education. Educology provides the system, purposefulness and effectiveness for such training. CONCLUSIONS, INNOVATIONS, AND RECOMMENDATIONS: The results of the study provide an opportunity to see the feasibility of the first level of the model, which involves mastering the basics of educology; the second level, which is aimed at mastering the components of the educational program, which reveal the methodology and specifics of expert activities; and the third level, which makes it possible to differentiate the suggested directions of such training, namely: measuring and monitoring the quality of education, education management, educational economics, and educational law.
CEL NAUKOWY: Problem wprowadzenia eksperckiego egzaminu z zarządzania oświatą jest dla Ukrainy aktualny i naglący w kontekście oceny jakości edukacji na wszystkich poziomach. Celem artykułu jest uzasadnienie skuteczności modelu kształcenia ekspertów w dziedzinie edukacji napodstawie edukacji na Uniwersytecie Kijowskim im. Borysa Hrinczenki. PROBLEM I METODY BADAWCZE: Przy przetwarzaniu uzyskanych danych empirycznych wykorzystano metody statystyczne do porównania wskaźników ankiety magisterskiej studentów przed i po kursie edukacyjnym według kryteriów Pearsona, testu Fishera oraz diagramu Venna testu Manna‑Whitneya‑U. PROCES WYWODU: Kształcenie ekspertów w zakresie edukacji opiera się na modelu: 1) opanowanie podstaw edukologii i jej komponentów; 2) opanowanie metodyki badania i standardów etycznych jego realizacji; oraz 3) opanowanie specyfiki segmentu edukacyjnego podlegającego ekspertyzie. WINIKI ANALIZY NAUKOWEJ: Badanie potwierdza skuteczność opracowanego modelu szkolenia ekspertów w zakresie edukacji. Edukologia zapewnia system, celowość i skuteczność takiego szkolenia. WNIOSKI, INNOWACJE, REKOMENDACJE: Wyniki badania dają możliwość zobaczenia wykonalności pierwszego poziomu modelu, który obejmuje opanowanie podstaw edukacji; drugi poziom, który ma na celu opanowanie elementów programu edukacyjnego, które ujawniają metodologię i specyfikę działań eksperckich; oraz trzeci poziom, który pozwala wyróżnić proponowane kierunki takiego szkolenia, a mianowicie: pomiar i monitorowanie jakości edukacji, zarządzanie oświatą, ekonomikę oświaty i prawo oświatowe.

Opis:: The following article examines aspects of education for sustainable development. The author argues that the most effective way of changing the ecological situation is to alter the social reality through appropriate education. Assuming that a structural analysis of the education phenomenon can improve our understanding of how education works, the author proposes dividing the educational process into four components, called fields of education. Based on the idea of fields of education, the author also proposes distinguishing three levels within the ESD system – ecological enlightenment, ecological consciousness and ecological culture. The author also gives some practical examples of how we can use these classifications in ESD.

Opis:: Dwudziesty pierwszy wiek to w krajach Unii Europejskiej czas ogromnej ekspansji edukacji, a zwłaszcza ekspansji masowego szkolnictwa wyższego. W każdym z krajów członkowskich występuje bardzo duża różnorodność kierunków kształcenia na wszystkich trzech poziomach szkolnictwa wyższego. Różnorodność ta jest zjawiskiem pozytywnym, gdyż sprzyja budowaniu gospodarki kreatywnej. Bogactwo dyscyplin pozwala bowiem na kreowanie innowacji wykorzystujących wiedzę pochodzącą z wielu – wydawałoby się – dość odległych dziedzin. Istnieje szereg czynników wpływających na to, że dana osoba wybiera właśnie taki kierunek studiów, a nie inny. W niniejszym artykule sprawdzono, czy jednym z takich istotnych czynników jest płeć. W każdym z krajów Unii Europejskiej przeanalizowano dziesięć kierunków studiów i wszystkie trzy stopnie kształcenia na poziomie wyższym. W badaniu wykorzystano dane z bazy Eurostat obejmujące lata 2013-2015.
The twenty-first century is a time of enormous educational expansion in European Union countries, especially in the area of mass higher education. There is a great diversity of educational fields in each member state at all three levels of higher education. This diversity is a positive phenomenon, because it favours the formation of a creative economy. The multiplicity of disciplines enables the creation of innovations that use knowledge from many, seemingly quite distant fields. There are a number of factors influencing a given person’s choice of one such field of education over another. In this article, it is examined whether gender is one of the important factors. In each of the European Union countries, ten fields and all three levels of higher education are analysed. The study is based on data from the Eurostat database covering the years 2013-2015.

Opis:: The paper presents the research project implemented by the staff of the University of Silesia in Katowice during the Museum Power Exhibition at the National Museum in Krakow. The semiotic interpretation of the data amassed in FGIs and IGIs, these enriched with class observations, Desk Research, as well as the analysis of purpose-created documents, allowed to fulfil the goal of the investigation. The interdepartmental cooperation launched when educators became Exhibition’s curators was of the main interest to the researchers. These actions were considered as examples of the implementation of the ‘educational turn’ in Polish museology where tendencies to clearly separate and differently evaluate curatorial and educational practices are distinctly visible. The analysis of the manners of extending fields of museum education by educators-curators enabled the identification of a set of recommendations for initiating display projects implemented and co-created by the education department staff. In the presentation of the research results the focus has been put on three areas in which the shift was observed: types of knowledge organizing thinking about the display; perception and application of educators’ competences; and shaping informal relations and producing institutional trust. The paper speaks in favour of the necessity to take into account the experience and competences of the education department employees when creating valuable exhibitions and consolidating good relations with committed public.

Tytuł:: Rozważania wokół wychowania patriotycznego jako dziedziny wychowania
Considerations around patriotic education as a field of education

Opis:: The changeable and unpredictable contemporary educational reality, which is a constitutive element of social reality, prompts us to pay more attention to patriological issues, including those being a part of the educational activities undertaken by teachers and educators. Hence, the text includes considerations focused on the patriotic education, understood by some educators as a separate area of education. The subject of the analyzes included issues such as: the field of education and patriotism, which is a central category in research on patriotic education. Then, the essence of patriotic upbringing was analyzed, and the theory of patriotic upbringing was indicated as a detailed theory of upbringing, which – like the general theory of upbringing – is in a state of "in statu nascendi"; and which – due to its importance – should find its proper place in the structure contemporary pedagogical sub-disciplines.
Zmienna i nieprzewidywalna współczesna rzeczywistość wychowawcza, stanowiąca element konstytutywny rzeczywistości społecznej, skłania ku zwróceniu baczniejszej uwagi na kwestie patriologiczne, m.in. w ramach podejmowanej przez nauczycieli-wychowawców aktywności edukacyjnej. Stąd też w tekście podjęte zostały rozważania skoncentrowane wokół wychowania patriotycznego, wyodrębnianego przez niektórych pedagogów jako oddzielny obszar wychowania. Przedmiotem analiz uczyniono takie kwestie, jak: dziedziny wychowania, patriotyzm, stanowiący centralną kategorię w dociekaniach nad wychowaniem patriotycznym. Następnie poddano analizie istotę wychowania patriotycznego, a w dalszej kolejności wskazano na teorię wychowania patriotycznego jako szczegółową teorię wychowania, która znajduje się podobnie, jak ogólna teoria wychowania, w stanie "in statu nascendi", a która z uwagi na jej rangę powinna znaleźć właściwe sobie miejsce w strukturze współczesnych subdyscyplin pedagogicznych.
