Opis:
The state language is not only a means of communication but also an important state symbol connected to national identity. The legal regulation of the state language in Georgia originates from the first constitution of 1921. Even under Soviet occupation, it remained a subject of constitutional regulation. The mass demonstrations of 1978, aimed at protecting the constitutional status of the Georgian language, played a significant role in the development of the national liberation movement. This article reviews the main aspects of the development of the legal regulation of the state language in Georgia, the existing legislation on the state language, and the primary issues related to its protection and provision.

Constitution of Georgia has 25 years of history but still needs more legitimacy from the people. The problem began from the drafting the basic law and continued with many unnecessary constitutional reforms. Constitution of Georgia now has the same challenge: to deal with the horrors of the past and play the function of social integration, which is so important to unite the nation.

Opis:
The first Georgian Parliament was formed during the reign of Queen Tamara I. The Karavi had full legislative power and very broad range of other powers. Until the twentieth century there had been no longer any initiatives concerning the foundations of Parliament. This condition changed in 1918, when after the declaration of independence, Georgian parliamentarism began to emerge. However, the initiative was stopped in 1921, when Georgia lost its independence again.

Opis:
At the beginning of the 21st century, Turkish-American relations attracted serious attention of the international community. Since the end of the Cold War, relations between the Turkish Republic and the United States have focused on security. The foreign policy of the two countries from time to time pursued common and sometimes very different goals. In parallel with this, periods of ups and downs were observed in economic relations. It was the goal of achieving security that determined the cooperation between these two countries. On the one hand, there was the leader of one of the two poles during the Cold War – the United States, and on the other – Turkey, a country with significant influence in the Middle East, but strongly dependent on the United States. In the 2000s, disagreements between Turkey and the United States, two NATO members, were not in Georgia’s interests. Turkey and the United States are Georgia’s partner countries. The United States is Georgia’s strategic partner and Turkey is one of its largest trading partners. Despite tensions between Turkey and the United States, the latter is not expected to harm Georgia’s bilateral relations. According to Washington, Georgia’s rapprochement with Iran will be a more serious problem than the issue with Turkey, especially if Georgia violates sanctions against Iran.

The following text aims to present Georgia’s geopolitical significance and its current political situation. The way the Georgian people have fought for their independence over the years. The hard work that has been done to preserve Georgian nationality and culture. Now, 30 years after independence, this nation must define a new path that it wants to follow. There are two paths to choose from: cooperation with Europe and the USA, or with Russia. Issues such as society, economy, politics and geopolitics will be discussed.
