Opis:: In the article the generalized Lambda-Tukey distribution was presented with the following four parameters of: location, scale, skewness and kurtosis. The distribution presented, due to its high flexibility is widely applied, especially when empirical distributions are sophisticated and do not show desired accordance with known classical theoretical distributions. The examples presented on the fitting of the DAX index distribution to the four parameter Tukey distribution turn out to be better than the ones for the beta distribution.

Opis:: W pracy na podstawie znanego twierdzenia centralnego Lapunowa jest wyprowadzany rozkład graniczny prawdopodobieństwa znanej statystyki Horvitza-Thompsona (HT). Okazało się, że jeśli określane przez plan losowania Poissona prawdopodobieństwa wylosowania do próby poszczególnych elementów populacji spełniają pewne założenia oraz rozmiar populacji rośnie nieograniczenie, to rozkład standardowej postaci statystyki HT zmierza do rozkładu normalnego standardowego. Taki sam wynik otrzymano przy dodatkowym założeniu narzuconym na prawdopodobieństwa wylosowania elementów populacji do próby, gdy w standardowej postaci statystyki HT jej odchylenie standardowe zastąpimy przez pierwiastek z nieobciążonego estymatora tej wariancji. Rezultaty pracy znajdują zastosowania np. w pewnych typach badań ankietowych, a w szczególności internetowych, wykorzystujących wnioskowanie statystyczne, czyli estymację przedziałową lub testowanie hipotez statystycznych.

Opis:: Mieszanki rozkładów są stosowane wówczas, gdy zbiór obserwacji charakteryzuje się nadmiernym rozproszeniem. W literaturze najczęściej są spotykane mieszanki rozkładów normalnych (model-based clustering). W referacie zostaną przedstawione mieszanki rozkładów wielomianowych oraz wyniki ich zastosowań do podziału studentów o podobnych postawach wobec województwa śląskiego (jego tradycji, kultury, możliwości rozwoju itd.). Badania zostaną przeprowadzone za pomocą pakietu mixtools programu komputerowego R.

Opis:: In this chapter some typical methods of statistical inference are presented in order to analyse results of investigations of economic conditions based on questionnaires. One considers variation in the structure of answers between particular questions, within particular groups of questions, between particular groups (subpopulations) of enterprises and within the subpopulations. One also shows a way to analyse variation of the balance of answers (i. e. the difference between the fractions "increase" and "decrease") with respect to time. The methods are the well-known Pearson's chi-square test and a test based on the asymptotic normal distribution. Finally, one addresses the problem of Bayesian analysis of the business activity results by demonstrating some simple estimation and testing procedures. The data come from the database of IRG SGH (Institute of Economic Development, Warsaw School of Economics).

Opis:: Recently the role of computer simulation methods in scientific research has significantly increased. In this paper the proposal of the use simulation methods to test for independence of some categorical variables with contingency tables is presented. The permutation test is used in this method. The comparison of obtained results and results of classically chi-square test of independence has been done. In presented examples the data from Polish General Public Opinion Poll have been used.

Opis:: The article presents the credit risk assessment models based businesses on fuzzy logic. The starting point for the construction of models was to obtain data on 37 loans taken out by businesses in one of the largest co-operative bank, in Podlaskie. Bank in question does not use any statistical model to make credit decisions. The results of the classification in both the first and second fuzzy model provide a basis to conclude that a systematic approach expertise in fuzzy model based on historical data gives satisfactory results of the classification of borrowers.

Opis:: Results of business activity tests are characterized by very strong structural variation. Complex, multidimensional structure of population of enterprises being considered is the main source of diversity. Dynamic approach introduces periodical variation in values of certain variables, intensity of observed processes, and quality of ex post predictions. For instance, in construction industry, one factor which introduces the largest variation is the criterion of ownership. Also for industrial enterprises and trading companies, the largest differences are observed between groups of public sector and private sector enterprises. For the purpose of analysis of business activity tests results, traditional statistical methods may be used. In this chapter we introduce point estimators and interwal estimators of balances and business activity indicators. We consider the problem of aggregation of balances and define distribution of aggregated balances and its main moments. We present a construction of a significance test with test statistics A which has asymptotically normal distribution. The test measures significance of differences of business activity indicators between selected structural groups. We list assumptions necessary to obtain probability distributions of appropriate variables and show the most important properties of these distributions. Applications of proposed statistical analysis methods are described using construction industry activity data for Poland and Italy. As an example of conclusions drawn for Poland, we found strong correlation between assessments of business activity and sociopolitical conditions, as well as unfair treatment of different groups of business enterprises by central administration. Analysis of seasonal variation of construction industry activity confirmed legitimacy of assumed business activity indicator. It is a leading indicator which precedes changes in economic situation by about 3 months. Results of business activity tests for Italian industry do not confirm existence of significant seasonal variation of business activity. Results aggregated over 30 years of conducting tests in Italy clearly indicate that in construction industry, unfavorable periods outnumber favorable ones.

Opis:: One of major challenge in a sustainable growth, which organizations face is a slow adoption of the digital transformation. This research work presents the reasons that lead to the slow digitization process in medical device SMEs in southern Germany. In addition, by developing the conceptual model, this work highlights the effect of these improper implementations on SME's business performances and financial situation. The researchers applied correlational research design methodology, with simple random sampling techniques along with empirical and statistical study with primary data collection. The main study variables are SME’s financial situation, SMEs organizational performance, and medical digitization rules. The study demonstrated the negative impact of delayed digital mechanisms in terms of businesses and financial performances.The extra transparency restrictions that add burdens for SMEs, and the lack of training for the employees, which in overall add more difficulties for adopting innovation and digital transformation are other factors negatively affecting the studied process.
