Opis:: Data collected through an online survey and through a number of detailed company assessments throw light on the relative strengths and weaknesses of different elements of Knowledge Management (KM) frameworks as applied globally. The online survey –a quick self-administered test, shows the strongest elements within the framework to be Technology and Behaviors and Culture. The weakest elements are KM Governance and KM Roles. The assessment – a detailed diagnostic process based on in-depth interviews, shows the strongest elements within the framework to be Technology and the Discussion of Knowledge. The weakest elements are KM Governance and KM Roles. A comparison of the results from the two sources is reassuringly close. More data may allow a more detailed analysis. Preliminary results suggest that national culture may influence the development of Knowledge Management Frameworks, with a correlation between strong Individuality and weak KM Governance and Roles.

Opis:: W artykule zaprezentowano zarys metodyki transpozycji instrumentów zarządzania wiedzą na mechanizmy nadzoru właścicielskiego, pozwalającej na jego efektywne sprawowanie zgodne z wymaganiami stawianymi współczesnej gospodarce opartej na wiedzy (GOW). Kapitał wiedzy to niematerialne zasoby firmy, niemające fizycznego czy finansowego wymiaru, przyczyniające się do generowania strumienia przyszłych korzyści i wpływające istotnie na wartość firmy, a sposób sprawowania nadzoru nad efektywnym jego wykorzystaniem stanowi istotę współczesnego ładu korporacyjnego. Opracowana przez autorów metodyka opiera się na wykorzystaniu nowego narzędzia, tj. Corporate Governance Scorecard, koncentrującego się na procesie identyfikacji instrumentów zarządzania wiedzą, ich operacjonalizacji, określenia siły oddziaływania oraz przypisania mierników służących do zdefiniowania efektywności sprawowanego nadzoru. Pogłębiona analiza problematyki zarządzania wiedzą wykonana w procesie badawczym pozwoliła wyodrębnić składniki zarządzania, które mają relatywnie największy wpływ na zdolność innowacyjną, jak również można je wykorzystać w doskonaleniu nadzoru właścicielskiego nowoczesnych organizacji. Podstawowymi składnikami zarządzania wiedzą, które można zastosować w doskonaleniu nadzoru właścicielskiego w nowoczesnych organizacjach, są: narzędzia, procesy, relacje i innowacje. Wykorzystanie systemu karty wyników pozwala na dokonanie transpozycji tych instrumentów zarządzania wiedzą określonych (zoperacjonalizowanych) na efekty realizacji celów mierzone przez mierniki będące przedmiotem nadzoru według adekwatnych dla ich rodzaju sposobów postępowania, tj. mechanizmów nadzorczych. System sprawowania nadzoru właścicielskiego oparty na tak skonstruowanym narzędziu umożliwia skuteczny nadzór dzięki łatwo mierzalnym zmiennym wyrażonym w miernikach osiągnięcia efektów poszczególnych instrumentów zarządzania. W części końcowej zaprezentowano model struktury nadzorczej spółki z obszaru gospodarki opartej na wiedzy, a przeprowadzona przez autorów analiza przypadku dała szansę przedstawienia istotnych kwestii dotyczących badanego problemu.
The article presents the outline of the methodology of the transposition of knowledge management tools into the mechanisms of the owner’s supervision, allowing its effective performance, according to the requirements of the contemporary knowledge-based economy (KBE). Knowledge capital consists of immaterial resources of the firm, not having a physical or financial dimension, contributing to the generation of the stream of future advantages and significantly influencing the value of the firm, and the manner of exercising the supervision over its effective utilisation is the essence of the contemporary corporate governance. The methodology worked out by the authors is based on the application of a new tool, i.e. Corporate Governance Scorecard, concentrating on the process of the identification of knowledge management tools, their operationalisation, qualification of the power of influence and the assignment of measures for the qualification of the effectiveness of supervision. The in-depth analysis of the problems of knowledge management performed in the research process enabled the separation of management components which have relatively the greatest influence on the innovation capacity. It can also be used in the improvement of the owner’s supervision of modern organisations. The basic components of knowledge management which can be used in the improvement of the owner’s supervision in modern organisations are: tools, processes, relations and innovations. The use of the scorecard system enables to execute the transposition of these knowledge management tools aimed at the effects of the fulfilment of aims measured by the measures which are the object of the supervision according to the procedures adequate for their kind, i.e. supervisory mechanisms. The system of exercising the owner’s supervision based on the tool constructed in this way enables to exercise the supervision efficiently based on easily measurable variables expressed in the measures of achieving the success of the effects of each management tool. The final part presents the model of the supervision structure in a company from the area of knowledgebased economy, and the case study conducted by the authors presents the essential issues related to the investigated problem.

W rezultacie artykuł ten dostarcza podstaw teoretycznych i ważnych informacji na temat zarządzania wiedzą w zarządzaniu kryzysowym w sektorze publicznym z teoretycznej i praktycznej perspektywy.
This paper aims to systematize and explore the understanding of knowledge management in crisis management as a result of a systematic literature review. Three dimensions of research on knowledge management in crisis management were identified during the conducted analyses. Research topics in this area were analyzed in terms of basic, motor, emerging, and niche thematic areas. The current issues taken up in the field of knowledge management in crisis management were determined, and the topics requiring research in the future were identified. As a result, this article provides the theoretical background and important information on knowledge management in crisis management from a theoretical and practical perspective.

Opis:: The paper is focused on current issues of corporate governance and management in the era of transition to a knowledge economy and information society.
