W pracy opisano koncepcję analizy wielokryterialnej procesów dynamicznych, opartej na rozwinięciu modelu zbiorów efektywnych z dodatkowym parametrem – stopniem efektywności, na dziedzinę czasu. Celem analizy jest zbadanie trwałości w czasie miary efektywności decyzji podejmowanych w początkowej fazie procesu i ocenianych z punktu widzenia kryteriów śledzących rozwój procesu. Omówione zostało zastosowanie metody do analizy procesów ekonomicznych w oparciu o prognozy uzyskane za pomocą modelu symulacyjnego.

Opis:
Behavioral segmentation is a process of finding the groups of clients with similar behavioral patterns. The basic tool for segmentation is a clustering algorithm. However, the clusters generated by the algorithm depend on the preprocessing steps as well as parameters of the algorithm. Therefore, there are many possibilities of dividing the clients into segments and it is a subjective process. In this paper we will focus on application on multicriteria analysis for selecting the best partition of clients into segments.

Opis:
The article presents the methodology for selecting the optimal variant of the road on a regional level. The suggested methodology is based on a combination of criteria value normalization method and the variant assessment method. Based on survey studies conducted using the Delphi method, a starting list of criteria was designed and the significance of the individual groups of main criteria and sub-criteria was determined. The final assessments of the analysed variants are calculated based on the aggregation of the marks obtained for the normalization and assessment methods. The methodology can be divided into six stages: determining the variants for analysis, selecting the variant assessment criteria, creating the assessment matrix, normalizing criteria value, using the variant assessment method, variant ranking. The methodology was tested on the examples of planning a bypass of Mazury and Księżyno towns as a part of Regional Road 678 in Poland.

Opis:
The paper concentrates on the issue of classification of empirical probability distributions (histograms), which is useful both in management situations and in event detection or event mining. While existing approaches to event detection concentrate on the use of selected moments or other characteristics of empirical probability distributions, we postulate that full empirical distribution preserves more of needed information then selected moments of this distribution, thus multiple criteria classification of distributions can be most effective in event detection.

Opis:
Web caching is the subject of intense research and development since it seems to be very promising area. Web caching means storing copies of frequently used objects (documents) geographically close to users requesting them to reduce network load, servers load and user response times. Cache can be situated in different locations between user and servers with original content. It seems that the most significant improvement can be achieved by using the proxy server - a dedicated web server. Various parameters affect web cache performance: cache size, limitations on document sizes or documents removal policy. Several metrics are used to evaluate this performance: hit rate for example is the ratio of documents obtained by using the cache mechanism comparing to the total number of documents requested. Choosing adequate parameters for interesting traffic patterns to improve cache performance is not a trivial cache management problem. Prototype tool based on multicriteria model analysis and supporting such web cache management is presented. Simple case was examined where small number of sets of cache parameters (variants), miniature traffic representation and only two performance measures are considered.

Opis:
The paper presents a GIS-based method for selecting an optimum location of wind farm on the case study of the Prusice commune in Lower Silesia (SW Poland). The adopted multi-criteria approach utilises the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Weighted Linear Combination (WLC) methods to determine weights of sitting criteria (factors and constraints), and to develop a composite suitability map from single-factor maps representing these criteria. The adopted sitting criteria have been identified based on literature review, and include: technical, spatial, social and environmental aspects of wind farm development, and also address specific geographical constrains of this part of Poland. The most suitable and suitable areas have been presented on a wind farm suitability map for the commune. The area size of the largest suitable spots (14) varies from 10 to 64 ha. The proposed method and the results of this work can be used to support sustainable spatial policy and spatial development on all levels of public administration related to renewable resources use.

Opis:
A new concept of the multicriteria fuzzy trading system using the technical analysis is proposed. The existing trading systems use different indicators of the technical analysis and generate buy or sell signal only when assumed conditions for a given indicator are satisfied. The information presented to the trader – decision maker is binary. The decision maker obtains a signal or no. In comparison to the existing traditional systems called as crisp, the proposed system treats all considered indicators jointly using the multicriteria approach and the binary information is extended with the use of the fuzzy approach. Currency pairs are considered as variants in the multicriteria space in which criteria refer to different technical indicators. The introduced domination relation allows generating the most efficient, non‐dominated (Pareto optimal) variants in the space. An algorithm generated these non-dominated variants is proposed. It is implemented in a computer‐based system assuring the sovereignty of the decision maker. We compare the proposed system with the traditional crisp trading system. It is made experimentally on different sets of real‐world data for three different types of trading: short‐term, medium and long‐term trading. The achieved results show the computational efficiency of the proposed system. The proposed approach is more robust and flexible than the traditional crisp approach. The set of variants derived for the decision maker in the case of the proposed approach includes only non‐dominated variants, what is not possible in the case of the traditional crisp approach. The reservation point and its impact on the overall results are measured with the use of the sensitivity analysis.

Opis:
Zamieszczony w pracy przykład numeryczny opisuje sposób wykorzystania procedury do rozwiązywania problemu wielokryterialnego.
In the paper a new technique for discrete multiple criteria decision making problems under risk is presented. The procedure uses Stochastic Dominance and Almost Stochastic Dominance rules for comparing distributional evaluations of alternatives with respect to criteria. ELECTRE III technique is used for generating the final ranking of alternatives. An numerical example is presented to show applicability of the technique.

Opis:
An important part of the innovation management is to select the best new product project from the preliminary large set of potential alternatives. This problem is broadly discussed in the extant literature. Although the qualitative approaches dominate in literature, there are few examples of more formal decision procedures based on multiple criteria analysis. This article brings an example of interactive procedure that can help decision making in the new product development. As to the authors knowledge, such approach has not been proposed so far to the problem of selecting new product. The interactive procedure gives to the DM an opportunity to actively participate in the whole process and observe its development. During the procedure, the DM can disclose his preferences and values of trade-offs. This kind of assessment of differences in importance of criteria is assumed as more reliable then the direct assessment of weights.

Opis:
In this paper we discuss the possibility of applying the various game-theoretic mechanisms to support the postnegotiation analysis of the multi-issue two-party negotiation. We analyze the negotiation problem stucturized and evaluated by parties by means of the simple additive weighting model, which is typical approach implemented in very many negotiation support systems. In particular, we focus on such negotiation processed that result in an inefficient negotiation outcome. We show how to identify the set of efficient solutions for each negotiation problem and then, how to find the efficient improvements of the agreement that the parties have agreed on. We propose a novel mechanism of finding such improvements, that stems from Nash bargaining solution and some previous concepts of Raiffa's potentials of the negotiators. We show an example of how this mechanism works when applied to find an improvement in bilateral negotiation supported by Inspire negotiation support system.
