Opis:
Even though distance learning intensified the tools, unfortunately, school practice shows that it is used as an analogue of analog instruments. The student is still not the creator, but only recreates the content learned in the lesson. There is not enough space in the classroom – stationary and remote office – to recover digital tools. The introduction of this type of activity is not easy – it is introduced with the need to fully use the area of application, methods, it also gives student and teachers development. The paper deals with one of the methods that enable creative and creative thinking – a project and how to implement it in Polish lessons. In the first part, the author presented a theoretical approach (research to date, strength) along with a methodical commentary and the purposefulness of using the method of working in the lessons. The details of the experience of the project and the benefits of its implementation were detailed. The author, as a working practitioner, shows in her observations on the specifics of the subject, corrections, possible modifications and supplements to existing studies. The second part is practical – it shows how to effectively implement a project at school, as well as examples of student work with an overview. The emphasis is on the appropriate sparring tools and what to consider in the planning plan. It shows where to look for inspiration and good practices, which can be expected for young teachers. The paper is not a compendium of knowledge about Polish studies projects. The most important issues, questions, questions that arise in connection with remote education and presents examples of – often proven – solutions. Non-standard observations are the added value of the text, look at the theory from the point of view of the everyday teacher at school.

The dialect of Polish spoken in Cruz Machado, Paraná : a portrait of a language apart
Autorzy:
Zaremba, Karolina
Wydawca:

Opis:
The Polish language was brought to Brazil by Polish-speaking peasants who came to the New World in the late 19th and early 20th century. Since then, the language has been developing in relative isolation from the European Polish context. In this monograph, the author focuses on a dialect of Polish still spoken in a remote community in the south of Brazil. The dialect’s origins, history, and present character are investigated to portray the language as a result of a multilingual process with a specific starting point. On the basis of the original data recorded in the community, the author establishes a viable baseline for future in-depth studies of linguistic phenomena. She pays special attention to the distinct identity of the speakers, which mirrors the dialect’s distinct character.

Opis:
The article presents the most important language rules and tendencies in teaching Polish as a foreign language. The author fully discusses word lists that are obligatory on different levels of proficiency in Polish language, pointing out to their advantages and disadvantages. She reminds about the necessity of completing such lists caused by intensive globalization and computerization. The article presents also problems concerning language used by young peo-ple nowadays, that is not only under the process of constant changes but it also becomes ‘out of date’ very quickly. Using fashionable words and words that have become commonly used as an example the author of the article proves the importance of language intuition while preparing lists of vocabulary for a certain level of language proficiency. The author concen-trates also on describing problems concerning methods of teaching Polish as a foreign lan-guage that are connected with the rapid evolution of the language.

Opis:
“Zadania praktyczne rewolucji w zaborze rosyjskim” is an original lecture edited to appear in a written form. This caused de-individualisation of the language in which the message is conveyed, limiting idiolectic properties (they have textual rather than systemic nature) and giving the linguistic material of the text exclusively all-Polish features. The style of this text balances between determinants of a nearly academic lecture and features of a political presentation including persuasive elements.

Opis:
This article discusses the current situation of courses in Polish language and literature at North American universities. Diminishing interest in Polish culture, caused by a variety of factors, has resulted in limited offerings of courses on this subject. The common fusion of Slavic and German Departments in North America does not help to reverse this trend. In current years, however, there has been a growing interest in Polish-Jewish themes. This, in turn, might lead to a renewed interest in Polish courses; for instance, the Polish language can be taught not simply with heritage students in mind but also as an important language for reading Holocaust testimonies.

Opis:
According to unofficial data from the Polish Consulate in The Hague, there are currently around 30 Polish and Polonia’s schools in the Netherlands. The way they operate, both in legal and educational terms, are different. This article is an attempt to categorize them. In addition, this article characterizes the existing schools by dividing them into four categories – school consultation points linked with Polish diplomatic missions, schools associated in the Polish Schools’ Forum in the Netherlands, schools operating at parishes and non-affiliated ones. According to the Dutch Planning Office, there are currently 250,000 Poles in the Netherlands. The representatives of the Polish Consulate in The Hague estimate that there may be up to 40,000 children among people of Polish descent who live in the Netherlands. Only about 2,000 of them attend Polish and Polonia’s schools. This article is the beginning to understand why only 5% of children of Polish origin who live in the Netherlands attend schools that look after Polish language.
