Na przetrzeni lat, terroryzm zmieniał swoje oblicze. Obecnie mamy do czynienia ze wszystkimi odmianami terroryzmu, jednakże z biegiem czasu dzięki szybkiemu rozwojowi technologii, cyberprzestrzeń stała się atrakcyjnym miejscem dla działaności terrorystów.Głównym celem niniejszej pracy było rozważanie istniejących w literaturze naukowej poglądów i opinii dotyczących następujących zagadnień: definicji pojęcia „terroryzmu”, jego celów, typologii, typów, a także analizy jego rozwoju i rozpowszechnienia na przykładzie wydarzeń historycznych. Ponadto, autor skupił się także na systematycznej analizie motywacyjnych i ideologicznych aspektów terroryzmu, rozważaniu jego ideologicznych czynników i rozpatrzeniu cyberprzestępczości jako nowego zjawiska. Autor udowodnił, że terroryzm ma kilka odmian, ale w każdej postaci jest niebezpieczny.
Over the years, terrorism changed the face. Currently, we are dealing with all types of terrorism, however, thanks to the rapid development of technology, cyberspace has become an attractive place for terrorist activities.The main purpose of this paper was to consider the views and opinions existing in the scientific literature on the following questions: determination of concept of ,,terrorism”, his aims, typology, types and also the analysis of its development and dissemination on the example of historical events. In addition, the author also focused on, a systematic analysis of the motivational and ideological aspects of terrorism, considering the ideological factors of terrorism and considering cybercrime as a phenomenon and its conditions for its emergence and development. The author proved that terrorism has several varieties, but is dangerous in any form.

This article aims to reconstruct the mechanisms of politicization and ideologization of religion in modern and contemporary understandings of politics and to present the threats to internal security that it could cause. Security risks resulting from the ideologization of religion are illustrated by contemporary Islamism, which inspires actions by terrorist organizations in some countries of the Mediterranean basin. In a theoretical layer of the process this ideologization manifests itself in the fact that religious assertions about transcendentally significant ideas are internalized as immanent. In terms of practice, the ideologization means the domination of the group’s objectives over individual objectives of religion resulting from its very nature. The article shows the modern source of the ideologization of religion and its modern and contemporary transformational mechanisms into an ideology of power. This study establishes a causal relationship between an ideologized form of religion and security threats.
Celem artykułu jest zrekonstruowanie mechanizmów ideologizowania religii w nowożytnym i współczesnym pojęciu polityki oraz ukazanie zagrożeń dla wewnętrznego bezpieczeństwa państw, jakie ten proces pociąga. Zagrożenie bezpieczeństwa wynikające z procesu ideologizowania religii ilustruje się w artykule współczesnym islamizmem, który inspiruje działania organizacji terrorystycznych w niektórych państwach basenu Morza Śródziemnego. W warstwie teoretycznej proces ideologizowania religii przejawia się tym, iż twierdzeniom religijnym o znaczeniu transcendentalnym nadaje się charakter immanentny, natomiast w warstwie praktycznej tym, że cele mające znaczenie dla grupy społecznej przedkłada się nad cele wynikające z istoty religii i mające znaczenie dla jednostki. W artykule ukazuje się nowożytne źródła ideologizowania religii oraz nowożytne i współczesne mechanizmy przekształcania religii w ideologię władzy. Uwyraźnia się przyczynowy związek między zideologizowaną postacią religii i zagrożeniem wewnętrznego bezpieczeństwa państw.

The work entitled "Terrorism as a result of radical fundamentalist movements in Islam. Problems of the phenomenon at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries." focuses on the issue of terrorism motivated by ideology arising on the ground of faith in the time of the greatest global escalation of the phenomenon. The thesis consists of three chapters. The first one contains the characteristics of Islam – a religion whose followers are internally divided and fundamentalistic activities give rise to extremist interpretations of the laws of faith. The second chapter is devoted to the theory of terrorism. To be more specific, it strives to define the concept, provides the history of the phenomenon as well as selected legal regulations. The last chapter is a combination of the two previous ones - i.e., it describes the influence of fundamentalism and radicalization on Islamic extremists whose activities have been illustrated on a number of examples. The aim of the work was to describe the above issues in a simple and concise manner. The whole analysis highlights the complexity of Islamic fundamentalist terrorism which is one of the main threats to global security in its current form.
Praca pt.: "Terroryzm jako efekt radykalnych ruchów fundamentalistycznych w islamie. Problematyka zjawiska na przełomie XX i XXI wieku." porusza problematykę terroryzmu motywowanego ideologią powstającą na gruncie wiary, a tytułowy okres to czas największej globalnej eskalacji zjawiska. Składająca się z trzech rozdziałów praca w pierwszej kolejności zawiera charakterystykę islamu, religii, której wyznawcy są wewnętrznie podzieleni, a fundamentalistyczna działalność rodzi ekstremistyczne interpretacje praw wiary. Następnie omówiona została teoria terroryzmu na którą składa się historia zjawiska, próba zdefiniowania pojęcia, a także wybrane regulacje prawne. Ostatni rozdział stanowi połączenie dwóch poprzednich, a więc jak fundamentalizm i radykalizacja tworzy terroryzm ekstremistów islamskich, których działalność przedstawiona została na przykładach. Celem pracy było deskryptywne i eksplanacyjne ujęcie powyższej problematyki, w prosty i zwięzły sposób. Całość analizy składającej się na niniejszą pracę, zwraca uwagę na złożoność islamskiego terroryzmu fundamentalistycznego, który w aktualnej odmianie stanowi jedno z głównych zagrożeń dla bezpieczeństwa globalnego.

Celem pracy jest analiza związków przyczynowych radykalizacji islamu i wyjaśnienie, czynników sprzyjających dynamikę wzrostu zagrożenia i niebezpieczeństwa dla państw i społeczności na świecie. W dobie Internetu proces ten zachodzi zdecydowanie szybciej, szerzej i bardziej anonimowo niż kilka lat temu. Kontrowersyjnym faktem jest to, że możliwość nowych ataków i rozwój małych, niezależnych grup, jest nieprzewidywalne a osoby zaangażowane w zamachy na co dzień nie wyróżniają się spośród obywateli społeczeństwa. Wybór tematu pracy został uwarunkowany w znacznej mierze badawczym zainteresowaniem brutalnych wydarzeń, które miały miejsce w ostatnich latach min. w Paryżu, Brukseli, Londynie czy w Szwecji. Obecna sytuacja Europy w której coraz większą role odgrywają elementy radykalne, niewątpliwie zmierza w stronę postępującej islamizacji Europy.
The main aim of this work is to analyze and explain Islamic radycalization and home grown terroism as the growth risk and dangers for the countries and communities in the world. This process occurs much faster, more widely and more anonymously than a few years ago. Controversial is the fact that the possibility of new attacks and the development of small, independent groups, is unpredictable and the people involved in attacks on a daily basis does not stand out among citizens of society. The choice of thesis topic was largely a research interest of the violent events that have taken place in recent years for instance in Paris, Brussels, London and Sweden. The current situation in Europe where the increasing role played by the radical elements, undoubtedly heading towards the progressive Islamization of Europe.

The author analyzes the correlation between ideology of the contemporary right-wing extremism and the European migration crisis. Basic hypothesis states that contemporary mass migrations from the Middle Eastern region greatly affect the expansion of right-wing extremism in Europe. Even though the extreme right-wing in Europe is of a diversified character, it manifests a sequence of mutual characteristics which are best seen in its ideology: Islamophobia, xenophobia, racism, fascism, violence, discrimination, etc. The purpose of this paper is to show how the extreme right-wing ideology can generate political violence and a vast security problem for Europe and the entire world.
Autor analizuje korelację pomiędzy ideologią współczesnego prawicowego ekstremizmu i europejskiego kryzysu migracyjnego. Podstawowa hipoteza brzmi: współczesne migracje z regionu Bliskiego Wschodu znacząco wpływają na ekspansję prawicowego ekstremizmu w Europie. Chociaż ekstremizm prawicowy w Europie ma zróżnicowany charakter, to posiada wspólne cechy, które są najlepiej widoczne w jego ideologii: Islamofobia, ksenofobia, rasizm, faszyzm, przemoc, dyskryminacja, itd. Celem artykułu jest pokazanie, jak ekstremistyczna prawicowa ideologia przedstawia program generujący polityczną przemoc i stanowi ogromny problem dla bezpieczeństwa Europy i całego świata.

The Economics of Modern Terrorism: Targeting Al Qaeda Financing-the motivation behind the ideology.

The international strategic environment of the post-Cold War era has altered the character, superiority and support structure of terrorist groups. Prior to the 9/11 attacks, there was little significant interest in the analysis of the dynamics of terrorist financing in its whole. Never before, has there been such a terrorist organization with a financial network as sophisticated as that of al Qaeda’s. The purpose of this thesis is to target al Qaeda financing, in order to prove that the professed threat of ‘modern terrorism’ is driven by finance—where radical ideology and extremism is at its core. This thesis, provides an in depth analysis of the al Qaeda profile—including its beginnings, ideology, fund raising means, and methods for channeling funds. In the economics of modern terrorism, both legitimate and illegitimate means are utilized to finance terrorism. Together, the extent of legal international financial flows, have risen over the $100 billion mark per day, and a ‘economy’ with an turnover of $1.5 trillion annually. Targeting al Qaeda financing is complex, as the network employs mostly legitimate sources to raise and transfer funds, including charities and Islamic charitable offerings—traditionally known as zakat, the Islamic banking system, the hawala informal value transfer system, and several legitimate businesses functioning as fronts. Although the study of terrorist financing has evolved, much remains to be clarified and integrated with what is already known in comprehending and acting in response to the issue expansively. Through an in depth examination of al Qaeda’s financial network, a quandary amid religion and finance develops—where financing is difficult to distinguish from ideology as the underlying motivation. The thesis concludes that the professed threat of ‘modern terrorism’ is in fact driven by finance. Al Qaeda cannot carry out its ideology successfully without funding, and funding cannot be obtained without ideology; financing is the motivation behind the ideology. The al Qaeda financial network has restructured global awareness and evaluation of terrorist organizations. The findings will demonstrate that al Qaeda’s intricacy is formed by a complex amalgamation of radical ideology, with financial support networks to carry out its operations. In accordance to this, it is through al Qaeda’s financing that has enabled the network to develop into an intricate association of political, religious, business and financial means.
Sytuacja międzynarodowa po okresie Zimnej Wojny zmieniła charakter, rolę i strukturę wsparcia finansowego grup terrorystycznych na świecie. Przed atakami z 9/11 zainteresowanie terroryzmem i analizami dynamiki jego finansowania było niewielkie. Nigdy wcześniej nie istniała grupa terrorystyczna o tak rozbudowanej strukturze finansowania jak al Kaida. Celem tej pracy magisterskiej jest zdefiniowanie całego finansowania i jego zasadniczego wpływu na realne zagrożenie współczesnego terroryzmu, gdzie rdzeniem jest radykalna ideologia i ekstremizm. Praca magisterska przedstawia głęboką analizę profilu al Kaidy—jej początki, ideologię, sposoby i drogi pozyskiwania finansowania. W ekonomice współczesnego terroryzmu użyte zostają środki zarówno legalne jak i te nielegalne. Międzynarodowe przepływy legalnych środków finansowych przekraczają $100 miliardów dziennie dając $1,5 biliona rocznego obrotu. Definiowanie finansowania al Kaidy jest bardzo skomplikowane głównie z powodu angażowania środków z legalnych darowizn tradycyjnie nazywanych jako zakat, system islamskiej bankowości, i hawala , nieformalny system transferowy. Pomimo, że badanie finansowania terroryzmu rozwinęło się znacznie, wiele pozostaje do rozwinięcia, sprecyzowania i zintegrowania ze stanem już posiadanej wiedzy jak również potrzebna jest tez akcja. W głębokiej analizie problemu finansowania al Kaidy napotykamy na problem oddzielenia religii od ekonomii, gdzie trudna do odróżnienia staje się motywacja ideologiczna od tej natury finansowej. Praca magisterska przedstawia wnioski mówiące, że niebezpieczeństwo i zagrożenie płynące ze strony współczesnego terroryzmu faktycznie wynika głównie z finansowania.Al Kaida nie mogłaby prowadzić działalności "ideologicznej" bez finansowania, finansowanie z drugiej strony nie byłoby uzyskane bez tak głębokiej ideologii. Poznanie struktury finansowej al Kaidy zmienia globalną świadomość i ocenę organizacji terrorystycznych. Rezultaty przedstawiają złożoność wynikającą z połączenia radykalnej ideologii z finansowym wsparciem wymaganego do prowadzenia tej "działalności". Wnioskując z tego finansowanie al Kaidy doprowadziło do rozwinięcia całej sieci o podstawach religijnych, biznesowo/finansowych i politycznych.

The Mujahideen tend to offer an attractive salary and unforgettable adventure. They manage to make people feel more valued and appreciated. ISIS Jihadists have an enormous impact on a lot of people all around the world because of using social media. ISIS conducts psychological warfare on the most popular social networking sites, such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube or Instagram. ISIS terrorists use media outlets to glorify violence and terror. They desire to frighten a large number of human beings and persuade them to join their organization. The Jihadists desire to recruit particularly foreign fighters. Furthermore, they produce a lot of impressive media materials, such as intimidating pictures, videos containing scenes of beheading the victims and many others which are connected with their promotional campaign. The group is growing in strength. It seems that the propaganda has helped the ISIS terrorists to conquer massive territories in Iraq and Syria and restore the caliphate.
Celem mojej pracy jest ukazanie obrazu Państwa Islamskiego w kontekście stosowanych przez nich technik manipulacyjnych. Bojownicy kuszą solidnym wynagrodzeniem, oferują niezapomnianą przygodę, poczucie się ważną, docenioną jednostką. Do upowszechniania swojej ideologii wykorzystują środki masowego przekazu.Ich diabelska siła medialna jest niemożliwa do zatrzymania. Wojna psychologiczna, którą rozpętali dżihadyści ISIS, toczy się na najpopularniejszych serwisach społecznościowych takich jak Facebook, Twitter, YouTube czy Instagram. Massmedia służą im jako narzędzie do propagowania przemocy, tyranii oraz zastraszania swoich przeciwników. Za ich pomocą umieszczają w sieci niezliczone ilości materiałów propagandowych. Sprawnie przeprowadzane manipulatorstwo ukierunkowuje myślenie mas. Machina propagandowa Państwa Islamskiego nieprzerwanie pracuje na najwyższych obrotach, a sterują nią wybitni mistrzowie socjotechniki. Przemyślane działania propagandowe ISIS przyczyniły się do zdobycia rozległych terytoriów w Iraku i Syrii oraz odtworzenia kalifatu.
