Opis:: Tematem niniejszego artykułu jest Internet z uwzględnieniem etapów jego rozwoju i rozprzestrzeniania się w przeciągu pięćdziesięciu lat, aż do ukształtowania się Web 2, czyli globalnej sieci, która obecnie użytkowana jest na całym świecie. Zwrócono tu także uwagę na netykietę, która stanowi Kodeks Etyczny Internetu oraz jej istotną rolę dla zachowania bezpieczeństwa w globalnej sieci. Dokonano również charakterystyki poszczególnych obszarów użytkowania Internetu tj. word wide Web, e-mail, asynchroniczne fora i grupy dyskusyjne, czat, komunikatory internetowe, serwisy społecznościowe, pozyskiwanie danych oraz gry sieciowe
The article focuses on the Internet including stages of its development and spread over fifty years until the establishment of Web 2 which is the global network currently used worldwide. The attention has also been paid to the netiquette which is the Internet Code of Ethics and its significant role in providing security to the global Web. The summary of some Internet application areas, such as world wide web, e-mail, asynchronous forums, discussion groups, chat, internet communicators, social media, data sourcing and online games have also been provided

Opis:: Praca poświęcona jest kulturze korzystania z Internetu. Zjawisko to zostało zbadane na podstawie zachowań studentów. Celem opracowania było pokazanie jak postępują studenci w trakcie korzystania z Internetu. Praca zawiera charakterystykę Globalnej Sieci, a także prezentację wybranych netykiet. Pokazuje jakie zasady i zwyczaje są pozytywnie oceniane iakceptowane w korzystaniu z Internetu oraz jakie czynniki mają wpływ na łamanie zwyczajów obowiązujących w Sieci. Przedstawia też osobowościowe determinanty zachowań internetowych. Badania przeprowadzone metodą ankietową wykazały, iż badanych studentów cechuje wysoka kultura korzystania z Internetu.
This work is dedicated to the culture of using the Internet. This phenomenon has been presented on the basis of the behavior of students. The purpose of this study is to show how university students behave while using the Internet. The work includes the characteristics of the Global Network, the Internet culture, and the presentation of selected Netiquette. It shows which factors have impact on violation of rules applicable in the net.

Opis:: Tematem mojej pracy są „Szkolne i pozaszkolne doświadczenia i potrzeby uczniów klas IV-VI związane z wykorzystaniem Internetu (na przykładzie wybranych szkół miejskich i wiejskich)”. Powodem wyboru takiego tematu była moja ciekawość w zakresie tego, jakie strony internetowe odwiedzają dzieci oraz spostrzeżenie, że często nie przestrzegają one zasad bezpieczeństwa internetowego i odwiedzają strony, które nie są dla nich odpowiednie. Zasadne wydało mi się również zbadanie dwóch środowisk, w jakich Internet jest przez nie wykorzystywany, dlatego moja praca obejmuje zarówno środowisko szkolne, jak i pozaszkolne. Podmiotami moich badań byli uczniowie klas IV-VI, ich rodzice oraz nauczyciele. Praca składa się z pięciu rozdziałów. Pierwszy poświęcony został przedstawieniu pojęcia cyberprzestrzeni, zagrożeniom z niej płynących oraz zasadom bezpiecznego korzystania z Internetu. W drugim znalazły się szkolne potrzeby uczniów związane z korzystaniem z sieci, pokazałam też Internet jako nowe medium w edukacji oraz związaną z tym rolę nauczyciela. Trzeci rozdział zawiera potrzeby uczniów związane z wykorzystaniem Internetu w obszarze pozaszkolnym, możliwym oddziaływaniom tego medium na dzieci oraz związanej z tym roli rodzica. Czwarty rozdział zawiera przygotowaną przeze mnie metodologię badań własnych, a ostatni (piąty) – prezentację i analizę tychże badań. Na końcu zawarte są wnioski bezpośrednio płynące z badań oraz te, dla praktyki pedagogicznej.Jednym z efektów mojej pracy jest umożliwienie wzrostu zasobu informacji dyrektorów oraz pedagogów szkół, w których przeprowadzałam badania związanych ze szkolnymi i pozaszkolnymi doświadczeniami oraz potrzebami uczniów klas IV-VI w zakresie korzystania Internetu. Ułatwi to, zarówno dyrektorom tych szkół, jaki pedagogom podjęcie odpowiednich działań w celu zaspokojenia omówionych w pracy potrzeb oraz uwrażliwi na płynące z niewłaściwego korzystania z tego medium zagrożenia.
The main aim of the dissertation is to present ‘’ School and out – of – school experience and needs of the 4th – 6th grade students related the Internet (based on rural and urban schools)”. The topic of this thesis was chosen owing to the reseracher’s intellectual curiosity to gain a deeper understanding of the web pages children visit. The study focuses on the critical observation of the Internet safety rules that are not obeyed by students.The two ( school and out-of- school ) backgrounds were studied in respect of the Internet usage. Students graded 4th – 6th, their parents and teachers represented the research subjects. The dissertation consists of five chapters. The first chapter forms theoretical background to the study. It revolves around the cyberspace, the risk related to the cyberspace and the Internet safety rules. The second chapter is entirely devoted to students’ needs to use the Internet, the Internet as the medium in modern education as well as the teacher’s role in the process of using the Internet for educational purpose. The third chapter presents students’ out-of- school needs to use the Internet, the Internet influence on children and their parents’ role. The fourth chapter describes the reserach method and the research instrument. The final chapter of this dissertation , chapter five, involves conclusion, limitations and implications of the study.The results of the study contributed to raise awareness among the 4th – 6th students, their teachers as well as the headmasters from schools where the above mentioned study was conducted. It is hoped that the results of this thesis will be relevant for other teachers and headmasters to consider the practical solutions for taking appropriate measures to meet their students exprectations. Moreover, I think that these results will encourage both teachers and headmasters to be more sensitive to the risk of inappropriate Internet usage.

Opis:: Growing up in digital surroundings and using the Internet on a daily basis have been some of the most prominent features of the young population today. In fact, where Generation Z is concerned, this has virtually been the only modus vivendi they know. They find online communication natural, feeling comfortable in the digital world, spending most of their time on the Internet sharing photographs and video footage, having fun, and communicating by means of social media and various software applications. In doing so, they prove very skillful and they have no difficulty mastering new digital trends, but they are often unaware of how vulnerable they are in terms of protection of their privacy and personal data. For that reason, the paper aims at determining to what extent the members of Generation Z expose their private lives on the Internet, whether they are concerned about possible the consequences of these actions, and what steps they should take to protect their personal data. The results of the survey, conducted online, reveal that most examinees are unaware of the possible risks of providing their personal data to unknown entities on the Internet, as well as that the similar percentage of them do not take any steps towards protecting their privacy.

Opis:: The communication and internet revolution has had a great influence on time and space contraction, and virtual space has become a platform for intellectual encounters beyond borders. Nowadays, in the time of the knowledge-based society and new communication technologies, the opening of formerly closed borders between “us” and the “others,” and, in consequence, the possibility of creating cosmopolitan identities in virtual space seem to be important problems. Ethical cosmopolitanism should become a determining condition for creation of such identities due to its claim that all people in the world should be treated as equals, regardless of their race,gender, set of beliefs, religion, or the place of their dwelling.The aim of the paper is to present the recent discussion on cosmopolitan identity in the era of the knowledge society, as well as to introduce the concept of strangeness and depict the sociological background and the current evolution of creating the collective identities. The main scope of the article is the discussion of conditions for creating the cosmopolitan identity in the internet space.

Opis:: The history of musical performances is also the history of space in which they take place. This space is associated with the development of digital technologies. The article presents situations in which musicians perform or take other artistic actions relying on these technologies. This is an attempt at drawing attention to the fact that cyberspace does not replace traditional performance space (like concert halls, opera houses etc.) but rather, leads to cooperation of musicians in that space.

Opis:: The article shows the carnival as a mechanism that regulates humor in a certain segment of the Internet space, namely the so-called "the edges of the Internet." It is a specific humor characterized by breaking cultural taboos and ethical standards, absurdity, strong iconoclasticism and the freedom of language behaviors. This sphere of the Internet functions as a kind of contemporary postmodern carnival where values are reversed, social hierarchies are ruined, and human behaviors are slightly degenerated. The humor of "the edges of the Internet" is a realization of the carnival’s "upside-down world" that temporarily destroys order and allows people to relieve their accumulated tensions. It is a place where social frustrations, fears and mutiny against the imposed rules and conventions can find their vent.
Przedmiotem artykułu jest ukazanie karnawalizacji jako mechanizmu rządzącego humorem w pewnym wycinku przestrzeni internetu, a mianowicie na tak zwanych "krańcach internetu". Jest to specyficzny humor charakteryzujący się łamaniem tabu kulturowego i norm etycznych, absurdalnością, silną obrazoburczością oraz swobodą zachowań językowych. Obszar ten porównać można do swego rodzaju współczesnego, postmodernistycznego karnawału, gdzie wartości są odwrócone, hierarchia społeczna zburzona, a ludzkie zachowania nieco wynaturzone. Humor "krańców internetu" jest realizacją karnawałowego "świata na opak", który czasowo znosi ustalony porządek i umożliwia ludziom rozładowanie nagromadzonych napięć. Jest miejscem, w którym mogą znaleźć ujście społeczne frustracje, lęki i bunt wobec narzuconych zasad i konwenansów.
