Opis:: Vietnam Maritime University (VIMARU) is a stated-owned institution in Vietnam. Undergoing more than half of a century of development, VIMARU has been facing to many difficulties and challenges such as limitation of budget from government, limited and obsolete facilities, lack of teaching staff, high density of students with very low tuition fee, and especially, limited chances for students to be trained on board training ships, shipyards and other manufacturing sites. For overcoming these difficulties and challenges, since 1990s, VIMARU had decesively renovated the organization system, especially and strongly focused on the enhancement of the linkage with industries and also, the enhancement of the international relations. In this paper, the experiences and results from the mentioned renovation process of the Vietnam Maritime University are presented.

Opis:: The paper aims to study psychological qualities of cadets majoring in "Physical Сulture and Sports". The carried out correlation and factor analyses allowed to reveal the most significant indicators, in terms of their possible impact on the development of professionally relevant qualities of the cadets of the aforementioned specialty. According to the results of the correlation analysis, two groups of interdependencies were identified. The first one involved the following indicators: emotional stability, intelligence, courage, self-control, will, and professional skills. The second group of correlations was formed by such indicators as active life, health, perception of the beautiful, knowledge, tolerance to disadvantages, love, friendship, public recognition, and responsibility. According to the results of factor analysis the following 3 factors were identified out of the intercorrelation matrix of the studied indicators: intelligence, active life, high conscientiousness. On the basis of the study of personal qualities, a psychological profile of the students of the specialization "Physical Education and Sport in the Armed Forces" was developed according to the following substructures of the personality: psycho-physiological qualities, intellectual qualities, personality experience, personality consciousness, personality trait, personality orientation, communication peculiarities.

Opis:: The paper presents implementation process of basic principle simulators of a nuclear reactor processes. Simulators are based on point-models of processes: kinetics of neutrons, heat generation and exchange, poisoning and burning-up nuclear fuel. Reference simulator was developed in MATLAB/Simulink without taking into account real-time operation. Second simulator was built using the toolbox xPC with hard real-time requirements. Functional decomposition of a nuclear reactor was performed and processes with different time scales were isolated. Simulation of each separated process in Raspberry PI computer with coordination mechanism among them led to a distributed soft real-time simulator. Idea of web-based simulator is also presented. The engine of the web-based simulator can be implemented on the server while the presentation of the state of the simulator and the prescription of parameters can be performed using a web browser. This allows simultaneous access to the simulator using different devices, including mobile as tablets, laptops and mobile phones. Compliance tests of simulators with reference simulator were conducted and the results proved the correctness of implementation. A review of the properties and potential applications of the various versions of developed simulators is presented.
W artykule przedstawiono możliwości i proces budowy symulatorów podstawowych zasad działania procesów reaktora jądrowego. Proces budowy i badania oparte są na modelach punktowych: kinetyki neutronów, procesów generacji i wymiany ciepła oraz procesów zatruwania i wypalania paliwa. Badano możliwości realizacji symulatorów, wykorzystując różne środowiska programowe i platformy sprzętowe. Referencyjny symulator został opracowany w środowisku MATLAB/Simulink bez uwzględnienia wymagań pracy w czasie rzeczywistym. Na jego podstawie zbudowano w środowisku xPC drugi symulator procesów reaktora, pracujący w czasie rzeczywistym przy spełnieniu twardych wymagań czasowych. Następnie dokonano dekompozycji funkcjonalnej reaktora jądrowego i wydzielono procesy o różnych skalach czasowych, a ich symulacje zostały wraz z mechanizmem synchronizacji zaimplementowane w kilku jednostkach Raspberry PI, uzyskując rozproszoną wersję symulatora. Przeprowadzono weryfikację poprawności działania symulatorów oraz opracowano interfejsy użytkownika i instrukcje obsługi. W artykule jest również rozpatrywany sieciowy symulator obsługiwany z poziomu przeglądarki internetowej. Dokonano porównania funkcjonalności, ograniczeń i potencjalnych zastosowań poszczególnych symulatorów.

Opis:: Cel: Celem artykułu jest zaprezentowanie funkcjonującego już programu edukacyjnego dla przedstawicieli Państwowej Straży Pożarnej (PSP) oraz Ochotniczej Straży Pożarnej (OSP) pod nazwą System wsparcia odbiorów i testowania wyrobów oraz rozwiązań stosowanych w ochronie przeciwpożarowej (dalej: system wsparcia odbiorów i testowania wyrobów) w kontekście jego przydatności i spełnienia wyznaczonego celu. Program ten jest administrowany przez Centrum Naukowo-Badawcze Ochrony Przeciwpożarowej im. Józefa Tuliszkowskiego Państwowy Instytut Badawczy (CNBOP-PIB). W artykule opisano zagadnienia poruszane na zorganizowanych dotychczas szkoleniach. Ponadto szczegółowo przeanalizowano wyniki ankiet przeprowadzonych wśród uczestników kolejnych edycji szkoleń oraz zaprezentowano propozycje zmian do wymagań techniczno-użytkowych dla pojazdów pożarniczych. Wprowadzenie: W zakresie stosowania wyrobów służących zapewnieniu bezpieczeństwa publicznego zgłaszane są określone potrzeby, formułowane zarówno przez jednostki ochrony przeciwpożarowej (JOP), jak i przez producentów oraz dostawców tych wyrobów. Właściwa trwałość, ergonomia, niezawodność i wysoka jakość wyrobów, jak również umiejętność oceny ich zgodności z wydanymi dokumentami dopuszczającymi mają podstawowe znaczenie dla zapewnienia bezpieczeństwa i prowadzenia działań ratowniczo-gaśniczych. Odpowiedzią na potrzeby jest opracowany, wdrożony i doskonalony system wsparcia odbiorów i testowania wyrobów, w ramach którego możliwa jest bezpośrednia wymiana informacji będących przyczynkiem do opracowania propozycji zmian do obowiązujących wymagań techniczno-użytkowych dla pojazdów pożarniczych. Metodologia: W pracy zaprezentowano elementy programu edukacyjnego. Na podstawie harmonogramów szkoleń omówiono zagadnienia poruszane podczas kolejnych ich edycji oraz przeanalizowano wyniki ankiet wypełnionych przez uczestników szkoleń. Wzięto przy tym pod uwagę doświadczenia osób szkolonych i ich opinie na temat pojazdów wykorzystywanych przez PSP i OSP podczas akcji ratowniczych. Pomimo zastosowania metody umożliwiającej ilościowe określenie stawianego celu badań uczestnicy badań wyrazili swoje sugestie i opinie również w formie opisowej, która pozwalała na sformułowanie wniosków i zaproponowanie kierunków zmian w omawianym zakresie. Wnioski: – System wsparcia odbiorów i testowania wyrobów jest rozwiązaniem, które – dzięki szkoleniom w formie stacjonarnej oraz kształceniu na odległość – oferuje kompleksowe podejście do potrzeb zgłaszanych przez przedstawicieli JOP zajmujących się zakupem sprzętu ratowniczo-gaśniczego, logistyką i kwatermistrzostwem. – System wsparcia odbiorów i testowania wyrobów umożliwia wymianę doświadczeń pomiędzy osobami prowadzącymi proces dopuszczenia a użytkownikiem końcowym, co owocuje zmianą wymagań dotyczących sprzętu wykorzystywanego przez JOP, a w konsekwencji – poprawą bezpieczeństwa publicznego. – Wymagania techniczno-użytkowe, w zależności od zakresu ich stosowania, powinno się uszczegółowić, uzupełnić bądź zmienić.
Aim: The purpose of this article is to present an already operative educational programme designed for State Fire Services’ (PSP) and Volunteer Fire Services’ (OSP) firefighters, namely „System wsparcia odbiorów i testowania wyrobów i rozwiązań stosowanych w ochronie przeciwpożarowej” (“A support system for quality acceptance and testing of products and solutions applied in fire protection”), in its usefulness and functionality context. The programme is administered by the Józef Tuliszkowski Research Centre for Fire Protection – National Research Institute (CNBOP-PIB). The courses run so far are described and survey results presented. Furthermore, the results of surveys conducted among participants in these courses are analysed in detail and changes are proposed to firefighting pumps, firefighting fixtures, and technical and user requirements for fittings and hydrants on firefighting vehicles. Introduction: The State Fire Service, and producers and suppliers, are continually defining their needs in the field of products used to ensure public safety and the protection of health and life and property. The durability, ergonomics, reliability and high quality of these products, and also properly conducted conformity-assessment processes, are crucial for fire safety and for the effectiveness of fire and rescue operations. “Support system” addresses all these needs. This programme can be used to exchange information and experience, thus resulting in amended mandatory requirements. Due to the use of this type of study, it was possible to determine the accuracy, effectiveness and scientific value of the presented material. Despite the use of a method to quantify the objectives of the study, participants also expressed their opinions and suggestions in a narrative form, which makes it possible to draw conclusions and set directions of change in the field in question. Methods: The authors presented items in the educational programme managed by the Research Centre for Fire Protection – National Research Institute (CNBOP-PIB). The training programmes were discussed. Survey results, firefighters’ experiences and opinions in the field of fire-fighting vehicles were analysed. The factors taken into consideration included the experiences of the trainees and their opinions on the vehicles used by the State Fire Service and the Volunteer Fire Service during rescue operations. Due to the use of this type of study, it was possible to determine the accuracy, effectiveness and scientific value of the presented material. Despite the use of a method to quantify the objectives of the study, participants also expressed their opinions and suggestions in a narrative form, which makes it possible to draw conclusions and set directions of change in the field in question. Conclusions: – The product commissioning and testing system is a solution which, thanks to stationary and remote training, affords a comprehensive approach to the needs reported by representatives of the Volunteer Fire Service Units dealing with the procurement of rescue and extinguishing equipment, logistics and supplies. – The system can be used to exchange experiences between certification specialists and end-users, thus resulting in changes to the requirements related to the equipment used by the Volunteer Fire Service and, consequently, improved public safety. – Depending on the scope of their use, the technical/functional requirements should be specified with more detail, or amended.

Opis:: The main goal of education at a maritime university is to provide students with knowledge and practical skills necessary for future work on a ship. To receive the diploma of merchant navy officer, students are required to complete a 12-month maritime internship. During the internship, as well as during the entire course of studies, students' expectations regarding their future professional work are developed, related to, among others, working and living conditions on a ship, employment conditions and cooperation with the shipowner. These expectations determine the students’ subsequent choices towards a given shipowner as a potential employer, as well as their decisions about further professional development in this field. From the point of view of operational management, it is therefore important for the shipowner to know the requirements that must be met in order to have a motivated and competent staff. This article aims to classify the requirements for students relative to their future work on a ship based on assessing the impact of the requirement fulfilment level against the level of their satisfaction. The results obtained made it possible to indicate those requirements regarding working conditions, the fulfilment of which should be treated by shipowners as a priority, because they determine the students’ satisfaction to the highest degree.

W związku z tym, autor proponuje w rozdziale wykorzystanie znanej w psychologii pracy metodologii konstruowania procesu kształcenia, szkolenia i doskonalenia zawodowego w LAW opartej na profesjonalnie przeprowadzonej analizie stanowisk pracy pilota i pilota-instruktora wojskowych statków powietrznych. Praca zawiera wyniki badań własnych, jakie przeprowadził jego autor, a których zasadniczym efektem jest opracowana sylwetka zawodowa absolwenta LAW – pilota i pilota-instruktora wojskowego statku powietrznego będąca syntezą kluczowych wymagań zawodowych dla kandydatów na te stanowiska pracy. Autor wyraźnie podkreśla, że tylko tak skonstruowana sylwetka zawodowa absolwenta LAW – pilota i pilota-instruktora wojskowego statku powietrznego gwarantuje właściwy dobór treści kształcenia i szkolenia kandydatów na te stanowiska pracy oraz ich systematycznego doskonalenia zawodowego.
Introduction of a modern aircraft on board (e.g. the F-16 multi-role aircraft from 2006, the Alenia Aermacchi M-346 “Bielik” training aircraft, and in the future the fifth generation F-35 multi-role aircraft – a Polish-American agreement for the purchase of of these aircraft) of new technical devices supporting humans in the decision-making process and at the same time relieving their memory, has significantly changed the requirements for pilot qualifications. Therefore, the author proposes in the article the use of the methodology of constructing the process of education, training and professional development in the LAW, known in labor psychology, based on a professionally conducted analysis of the positions of a pilot and pilot-instructor of military aircraft. The article contains the results of the author’s own research, the main effect of which is the developed professional profile of a graduate of the LAW – a pilot and pilot-instructor of a military aircraft, which is a synthesis of the key professional requirements for candidates for these job positions. The author of the article clearly emphasizes that only the professional profile of a LAW graduate – a pilot and pilot-instructor of a military aircraft – guarantees the correct selection of the content of education and training of candidates for these jobs and their systematic professional development.
