Opis:: Krajowy Model Transportowy stanowi jednolitą i kompleksową bazę danych o transporcie. Jest to uporządkowany zbiór informacji pochodzących z różnych źródeł, zebranych w jednym systemie informatycznym, który, wraz z odpowiednimi modelami transportowymi, umożliwia wykonywanie krótkoterminowych (do 5 lat) i długoterminowych (do 30 lat) prognoz ruchu oraz analiz transportowych. Może być również wykorzystywany do wdrażania wyników analiz w bieżącej eksploatacji. Do budowy modelu zastosowany został standardowy program komercyjny VISUM służący do budowy baz danych o transporcie i analiz transportowych. Model zawiera cztery warstwy informacyjne: model obszaru Polski, model sieci kolejowej, model sieci drogowej, model połączeń lotniczych. Spójny model transportowy dla wszystkich środków transportowych w skali kraju, pozwala na przeprowadzenie analiz ruchu uwzględniających zmiany w zagospodarowaniu przestrzennym kraju, rozbudowę infrastruktury transportowej, zmiany w ofercie przewozowej, a także wzajemne oddziaływanie zarówno różnych środków transportu jak i różnych przewoźników.
The national transportation model provides a unified and comprehensive database of transport. It is a structured collection of information from different sources, collected in one computer system, which, together with the relevant transportation models, allows you to take short-term (up to 5 years) and long term (30 years), traffic forecasts and transportation analysis. It can also be used to implement the results of the analyses in the current operation. To create the model the VISUM standard program, that is commercially used to build databases of transport and transport analysis, has been applied. The model consists of four layers of information: Polish area model, railway network model, road network model, air connection model. The coherent transportation model for all modes of transport in the country, allows you to carry traffic analysis taking into account the changes in the spatial development of the country, the development of transport infrastructure, changes in the transportation offer, as well as the interaction of both the different modes of transport and different operators.

Opis:: The conventional linear programming based transportation model in the previous studies was examined and found to be deficient in practice. Modified transportation model has been developed to include some predetermined salient factors such as road safety and security. In the real sense these factors are accidental and they can occur without prior notice. Besides, weather change is also critical to transportation insecurity. In this paper a new transportation scheme’s model was deve- loped to take into consideration the incidental occurence nature of the insecurity factors as applicable elsewhere. The weighted loss cost function due to the insecurity factors on roads was formulated using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and its outcome was integrated into the conventional transportation model. The cost savings from three models namely conventional, modified-conventional, and the current (re-modified) were compared using the petrol’s transportation schedule of the Nigerian petroleum industry. The results showed that the re-modified transportation model was not in good agreement with the other two in term of flexibility. The findings showed that the cost price of the item has a wide margin depending on the incidence and the weight of insecurity.

Opis:: In this paper, we developed a transportation model for dietary allocation to reduce the risk of overweight and obesity. Our interest was on macronutrients such as carbohydrate, fat and oil and protein diets. These diets are the chief supplier of calories used by the body to perform its metabolic activities. The maximum cost method was used to determine the optimal calories per week from the intake of high fat diet and we found that the calorie required is 478.8 Kcal and average daily required intake is 68.4 Kcal. Again, the least cost method was used to determine the optimal calories per week from the intake of low carbohydrate diet and we found that the calorie required is 681.7 Kcal and average daily required intake is 97.4 Kcal. Comparing the calories from both diets, we conclude that consumption of diet with high fat produce less calories, and hence should reduce the risk of overweight and obesity compared to the consumption of carbohydrate diet even in low quantity. Since calorie is calorie irrespective of its source, we recommend taking high fat diet than taking low carbohydrate diet to reduce the risk of overweight and obesity. The determined daily calories are the minimum calories required by the body to maintain its metabolic activities, more of it will lead to excess and accumulation in the body which will lead to overweight and obesity.

Opis:: Red Tech. BD, an online based business company intended to spread their business over whole Rajshahi District. As there is no cost for manufacturing the only factor that can maximize the profit is the product transportation cost. Determination of the optimum & reliable transportation medium was the first challenge. A suitable destination for distributing the products in the selected location has been chosen carefully on the basis of demand & minimum rent of warehouse. First, the mathematical model has been formed & then it has been solved by a program written in ‘C’ programming language. The program can show the result of the optimum amount of supply with the corresponding destination together in a single output. Verification of the program or ‘code’ has been done with the help of hand calculation. The company can determine the supply unit with destination to minimize the transportation cost before every shifting of products from warehouse to the destination.

Opis:: The paper is aimed at presentation of authors’ experience in the field of sustainable urban mobility planning at a subregional level. The authors make a thesis that the sustainable urban mobility planning in urbanised areas of conurbation nature should be implemented on a framework basis at a subregional level. A strategic mobility management at a supramunicipal level allows a better coordination of local actions and achieving the synergy of planned instruments to make the mobility sustainable. The paper presents guidelines in the field of diagnosis of the urban mobility system. In addition, the paper makes an attempt to identify instruments to make the urban mobility sustainable and to determine frameworks of ex-post and ex-ante evaluation for this process. The paper content to a large extent is related to the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan for the Central Subregion of Silesian Voivodeship, which was developed with the involvement of paper authors.

Opis:: There are various methods for the searching of the optimal transportation network structure for specified transportation needs. Apart from the principle, each method requires the construction of the network model with some simplifying assumptions and approximations, what leads to discrepancies with reality. Even larger uncertainties are caused by using of the data predicted for the transportation needs in the future. Obtaining of any single transportation network structure is therefore not yet a solution. Its behavior additionally should be examined for the changed data to ensure that it remains optimal both now and in the future covered by the forecast.
Istnieją różne metody pozwalające na znalezienie struktury sieci transportowej optymalnej dla zadanych potrzeb transportowych. Niezależnie od zasady działania każda metoda wymaga budowy modelu sieci przy przyjęciu pewnych założeń upraszczających oraz dokonania przybliżeń, co prowadzi do rozbieżności z rzeczywistością. Jeszcze większe niepewności są skutkiem użycia danych prognozowanych dla potrzeb transportowych w przyszłości. Uzyskanie jakiejkolwiek pojedynczej struktury sieci transportowej nie jest zatem rozwiązaniem problemu. Należy dodatkowo zbadać jej zachowanie dla zmienionych danych, aby upewnić się, że pozostanie optymalną zarówno obecnie, jak i w objętej prognozą przyszłości.

Opis:: In this paper, a railway crew scheduling problem is presented. The basic requirements related to the drivers’ working time, which should be considered in the presented topic, are characterized. The literature review of existing models for crew planning was also performed as well. In the main part of the article, the decision model, which will allow to plan a driver for a train, is defined. The article also contains an assessment of the possibility to use the presented model in the scheduling the work of rail crews in practice.

Opis:: W artykule opisano założenia i konstrukcję modelu transportowego opracowanego na potrzeby studium transportowego Bydgosko-Toruńskiego Obszaru Partnerstwa (B-TOP) [1], w którym zintegrowano dwa niezależne modele miejskie, uwzględniono obszary podmiejskie, wiejskie oraz wzajemne powiązania pomiędzy obu sąsiedzkimi miastami. Model ten został zastosowany do diagnozy funkcjonowania transportu w analizowanym obszarze, analizy SWOT oraz opracowania modeli prognostycznych dla różnych scenariuszy rozwoju gospodarczego analizowanego obszaru. Modele te zostały z powodzeniem zastosowane do opracowania koncepcji rozwoju systemów transportowych B-TOP.
The article presents assumptions and construction of transportation model developed for the transport study of the Bydgoszcz- Torun Area Partnership (B-TOP), which integrates two independent models of urban areas, suburban and rural areas and the interrelationship between the two neighboring cities. The model renders all forms of transport, including pedestrian, bicycle and public transport (railway transport, trams and buses). This model was used to diagnose the functioning of transport in the analyzed area, the SWOT analysis and the development of predictive models for different scenarios of economic development of the analyzed area. These models have been successfully applied to develop the concept of transport systems development B -TOP.
