Opis:: Ostatnia dekada życia Ignacego Krasickiego jest konsekwentnie marginalizowana w jego biografiach (w szczególności podróże do wód z lat 90. XVIII w.). W artykule wykazano, że właściwym kontekstem dla pogłębienia badań jest stan zdrowia Krasickiego, a także jego mierzenie się z wchodzeniem w wiek podeszły. Autorka analizuje trzy obszary dylematów X.B.W.: zdrowotne, twórcze, patriotyczne. Podstawą jest analiza korespondencji Ignacego Krasickiego oraz kwerendy w Baden i Wiedniu. Tłem są historyczne pejzaże i funkcjonowanie kurortu Baden oraz Wiednia jako ważnych miejsc na ówczesnym turystycznym szlaku europejskim.
The last decade of Ignacy Krasicki’s life is consistently marginalized in his biographies (in particular, his trips to spa resorts from the 1890s). The article shows that the proper context for in-depth research is Krasicki’s health, as well as the way he coped with reaching old age. The author analyzes three areas of X.B.W’s dilemmas: related to health, creativity and patriotism. The basis of the analysis of Ignacy Krasicki’s correspondence and a query in Baden and Vienna. The background is the historical landscapes and the functioning of the spa town of Baden and Vienna as important places on the European tourist route of that time.

Opis:: Artykuł stanowi podsumowanie kwerendy przeprowadzonej w 2020 r. w archiwach Wiednia i Baden. Jej przedmiotem byli Polacy przyjeżdżający do Baden na przełomie XVIII i XIX w. Objęła ona: Stadtarchiv Baden, Österreichisches Staatsarchiv (Wiedeń), archiwum Urzędu Miasta Wiednia, Diözesanarchiv Wien, a także materiały dostępne na łamach „Wiener Zeitung”. Ustalono ponad 400 nazwisk polskich podróżników do Baden. Kwerenda dowiodła, że na przełomie XVIII i XIX w. status społeczny polskich turystów odzwierciedlał m.in. demokratyzowanie się fenomenu podróży „do wód”.
The article summarizes the 2020 query in the archives of Vienna and Baden. Its subject was Poles who came to Baden at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries. It included: Stadtarchiv Baden, Österreichisches Staatsarchiv (Vienna), the archives of the City of Vienna, Diözesanarchiv Wien, and materials available in the Wiener Zeitung. Over 400 names of Polish travelers to Baden have been established. The query proved that at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries, the social status of Polish tourists was reflected, inter alia, in democratization of the phenomenon of travel spa resorts.

W rozdziale znajduje się krótka charakterystyka Księstwa Warszawskiego wraz z opisem kresu tego organizmu państwowego, wynikającego z klęski Napoleona i jego okupacji podjętej przez wojska rosyjskie. Poruszono też tematykę postanowień Kongresu Wiedeńskiego w sprawie polskiej oraz okoliczności proklamowania Królestwa Polskiego jako państwa związanego z Rosją unią personalną. Istotne miejsce poświęcono zagadnieniu tworzenia konstytucji, a następnie przedstawiono oparte na niej zasady ustrojowe Królestwa Polskiego. Rozdział drugi dotyczy namiestnika Królestwa Polskiego jako urzędu będącego oficjalnym przedstawicielstwem cara jako monarchy Królestwa. Przedstawiono zasady powoływania namiestnika oraz przypisane mu prawem kompetencje. W dalszej części rozdziału zaprezentowano biografię Józefa Zajączka - jedynego namiestnika Królestwa Polskiego w okresie konstytucyjnym, ze szczególnym uwypukleniem jego działalności w czasie piastowania tego urzędu. Rozdział trzeci poświęcono tematyce Rady Stanu Królestwa Polskiego. Przedstawiono status prawny Rady, jej strukturę oraz skład i kompetencje funkcjonujących w jej ramach organów, a więc Ogólnego Zgromadzenia Rady Stanu oraz Rady Administracyjnej. W rozdziale czwartym przedstawiono zagadnienia dotyczące funkcjonowania Komisji Rządowych Królestwa Polskiego. Na wstępie nakreślono tematykę statusu prawnego komisji, natomiast w dalszej części rozdziału dokonano charakterystyki każdej z nich z uwzględnieniem posiadanych kompetencji, struktury organizacyjnej oraz prowadzonej działalności.
The work covers the constitutional period of the Kingdom of Poland in the years 1815-1830 and describes the organization and functioning of the central administration in the territory of the Kingdom. The first chapter tells about the circumstances of the establishment of the Kingdom of Poland and the organizational solutions, rights, and freedoms given to it through the constitution. The chapter contains a brief description of the Duchy of Warsaw along with a description of the end of this state organism, resulting from the defeat of Napoleon and his occupation by the Russian army. The subject of the resolutions of the Congress of Vienna on the Polish issue and the circumstances of the proclamation of the Kingdom of Poland as a state associated with Russia by a personal union was also discussed. An important place was devoted to the issue of creating the constitution, and then the systemic principles of the Kingdom of Poland based on it were presented. The second chapter concerns the governor of the Kingdom of Poland as an office that is official representative of the tsar as the monarch of the Kingdom. The principles of appointing a governor and the powers assigned to him by law are presented. The following part of the chapter presents the biography of Józef Zajączek - the only governor of the Kingdom of Poland during the constitutional period, with particular emphasis on his activities during his tenure. The third chapter is devoted to the subject of the Council of State of the Kingdom of Poland. The legal status of the Council, its structure as well as the composition and competencies of the organs functioning within it, i.e. the General Assembly of the Council of State and the Administrative Council, were presented. The fourth chapter presents the issues related to the functioning of the Government Commissions of the Kingdom of Poland. In the beginning, the subject of the legal status of the commission was outlined, while the further part of the chapter describes each of them, taking into account their competencies, organizational structure and conducted activity.
