W artykule przedstawiono wpływ kulowania pneumatycznego (shot peeningu) na strukturę, mikrotwardość i naprężenia własne próbek ze stali austenitycznej 1.4539. Badania wykazały umocnienie warstwy wierzchniej i wytworzenie naprężeń własnych ściskających w warstwach podpowierzchniowych kulowanych elementów.
