These tasks generally referred to the Family and Guardianship Code specifies support for families and foster care system. The proper execution of these tasks requires appropriate forms of action. The article focuses on the analysis of human action. At the beginning the term of ‘action’ is defined and then the classification of actions presented. There were proposed three criteria of the classification: purpose, doer and motivation which allow us to describe the nature of changes triggered by action. After that the basic elements of action are considered. Analysis of action involves searching for relationships between them. The article assumes that the praxeological analysis of action should be done by examination of all these elements and relations.

Opis:
The paper discusses the structure of a translation action. The concept of a linguistic action proposed by Jerzy Żmudzki within the model of the expanded translation setting offers a starting point for this discussion. The above-mentioned concept was confronted with other functionoriented translation models and with philosophical-praxeological concepts of human action. By referring to Aristotle’s philosophical concepts, it was possible to determine elements of human action categorized by Żmudzki on the basis of his empirical research. To describe the translation action, it was also important to analyze praxeological models explaining the reality changed by a particular action. Elements that emerge from these models have a fundamental meaning for the construction of a translation strategy. This has been empirically proven in research carried out by Żmudzki. The paper provides conclusive arguments for the necessity of perceiving translation as a strategically conditioned linguistic action. Such a concept of translation should form the basis for determining of translation teaching aims.

Intentional motor action is typically characterized by the decision about the timing, and the se- lection of the action variant, known as the “what” component. We compared free action selection with instructed action, where the movement type was externally cued, in order to investigate the action selection and action representation in a Libet’s task. Temporal and spatial locus of these processes was examined using the combination of high-density electroencephalography, topo- graphic analysis of variance, and source reconstruction. Instructed action, engaging representa- tion of the response movement, was associated with distinct negativity at the parietal and centro- parietal channels starting around 750 ms before the movement, which has a source particularly in the bilateral inferior parietal lobule. This suggests that in delayed-action tasks, the process of action representation in the inferior parietal lobule may play an important part in the larger parieto-frontal activity responsible for movement selection.

Głównym celem niniejszej pracy magisterskiej jest określenie w jakim stopniu użycie piosnek ma wpływ na przyswajanie struktur gramatycznych języka angielskiego przez polskich uczniów. W tym celu został zaplanowany oraz przeprowadzony eksperyment, który osadzony został w ramach badania w działaniu (tj. Action Research). Cała praca składa się z trzech rozdziałów.Rozdział pierwszy zawiera opis teoretycznego tła badania, dotyczący głównie natury piosenek, ich użycia w nauczaniu języka w ujęciu ogólnym, ale przede wszystkim przedstawia on ścisłe informacje dotyczące użycia piosnek w sferze nauczania gramatyki języka angielskiego. Ponadto, w rozdziale tym autor przedstawia kilka badań naukowych, skupiających się na efektywności wykorzystania piosenek w nauczaniu języka obcego,Rozdział drugi dotyczy opisu badania, przeprowadzonego na potrzeby niniejszej pracy magisterskiej. W rozdziale tym autor formułuje główny cel badania oraz przedstawia założone hipotezy badawcze. Ponadto, rozdział ten zawiera szczegółowy opis metodologii, uczestników, materiałów oraz procedur użytych w badaniu, a także prezentacje zgromadzonych wyników. Dodatkowo, autor dokonuje szerokiej analizy opisowej wyników oraz przedstawia implikacje dydaktyczne.
The main aim of this MA thesis is to determine the extent to which the use of songs has a positive influence on teaching English grammar structures to Polish students of English. In order to check it, the dependent variable of English grammar learning by Polish students has been investigated with the use of an experiment within the framework of action research. The study was conducted on two groups of Polish students of English using a control group pretest-posttest design with matching and repeated measures, a variation of the randomized design. The thesis consists of two chapters. Chapter One provides a conceptual theoretical framework considering the nature of songs, their use in teaching in general and, most importantly, the ways in which songs can be applied in teaching grammatical aspects. Moreover, in this chapter the author reviews the research conducted on using songs in teaching English grammar.Chapter Two is concerned with the presentation of the study of the usefulness of pop songs for teaching English grammar structures. In this chapter the author states the main aim of the study as well as presents and explains the research hypotheses. Furthermore, the chapter includes the presentation of the methodology and procedures used in the research and it discusses the characteristics of the students and the research instruments and lesson materials used in the course of the investigation. The final section presents the findings of the research focusing on the key themes. It mainly consists of the statistical description of the results that the students of both experimental and control group h achieved in each part of the investigation. Moreover, it includes a broad discussion and critical evaluation of the findings and the implications for the pedagogy .

Sensitivity, as the ability to respond to internal and external stimuli, undoubtedly plays an important role in the social action of persons. Without this ability -as in the case of indifference- human being lacks a perception that is necessary in response to a specific emergency situation or a need. This article focuses on the teaching of Karol Wojtyla in his major work Acting Person, with a particular emphasis on the question of the motivation of human action. We want to reply to three basic questions related to the topic: Does this ability strengthens or weakens the culture of the Internet age, especially in Western European society? What is the primary motive of human action? Is sensitivity an essential motive and a factor of development of the person and society? What practical consequences we can draw from the teachings of the Krakow thinker about sensitivity? A person, as defined by Wojtyla, that is isolated, remains indifferent. Similarly persons who are hypersensitive hinders themselves to a mature participation in responsible love. The first quality (indifference) leads persons to flee from their duties. The second (hypersensitivity) leads persons to be overwhelmed by this challenge. The first we can describe as lack of feeling, the second as excessive compassion. The diagnosis of Wojtyla (it is more important to be than to have) remains very current and is an important stimulus in which direction to go to promote motivation for social action, and to build a society of communion of persons. Instead of an individualistic dominated competitive struggle of egos, we should try to realize a society in which the encounter of persons is characterized by mutual devotion in love.

The objectives of the study were to recognize the main motives for engagement in actions beyond basic professional duties among various professional groups and to identify selected properties of the subject and context of activities that contribute to such beyond-duties engagement. A set of questionnaires in electronic or paper form was completed by 209 employees, including 104 representatives of assistance professions and 95 representatives of creative professions, aged between 21 and 67 years (M = 37.54, SD = 9.55). It was established that the main motives for beyondduties engagement in both groups of professionals under study were self-actualization and acting for the benefit of others. With the use of structural equation modelling, subjective and contextual determinants of engagement in actions beyond basic professional duties were identified as self-efficacy and action meaningfulness. The research discusses the phenomenon of engagement in extra activities at work from the perspective of the acting person/employee. The study results can be useful for managers in setting goals of appropriate type and manner to their employees as well as for task assignment.

This is a review of Michał Barcz’s book Mechanika działań. Filozoficzny spór wokół przyczynowej teorii działania (Mechanics of Actions: Philosophical Dispute over the Causal Theory of Action). The book discusses various causal accounts of intentional action and presents several arguments against them. The review focuses on accuracy in presentation of different causal theories of action and soundness of arguments presented against them by the author. At the end, I discuss some methodological issues raised by the book.

Research background: Paradoxically enough, a large body of contemporary research relies on methodological individualism in order to explain collective activities and decision making. The mainstream of economic theories hardly gives any background to the issue of group activities. Purpose of the article: The aim of this paper is to investigate which economic theories have addressed the problem of collective action, and how social scientists deal with it contemporarily. Methods: Consequently, the research relies on the study of heterodox literature concerned with the subject, referring to original works of most respected authors. The review is carried on systematically, respecting two competing approaches regarding methods and social philosophy. Findings & Value added: Studies on collective action are a domain of institutionalism, the "old" one and the "new" one. Have it both ways, institutionalist studies are rather imperfect in explaining this crucial phenomenon of economic reality.
