Opis:
The considered shunt active power filter can be controlled not only to compensate non-active current in the supply source, but additionally to optimize energy flow between the source and the load. In such a case the filter shapes the source current to be active and simultaneously regulates its magnitude. The presented filter/buffer can operate properly even when the load contains AC or DC variable energy source of any characteristic. The device can optimize energy flow for a single load, but also for a group of loads as well. The distinctive feature of the employed control method of the filter/buffer is that certain changes of energy stored in the device are utilized as the source of information concerning the active current of the load. This control method is very flexible and can be implemented to nearly all structures of active filters, for DC, single- and multiphase circuits.

Opis:
The integration of renewable energy sources in modern electric grids have drawn increasing attention nowadays. In order to effectively manage large-scale renewable energy sources and achieve flexible and efficient operation, the concept of microgrids have been proposed. Considering the nature of DC outputs in many distributed energy resources (DERs), DC microgrids have been extensively studied in the past years. Among the operational issues in DC microgrids, current sharing issues have become an important topic since it is highly relevant to the operation of DC microgrids. By adopting a proper design of current sharing strategy in DC microgrids, the current rating violations in each interface converter can be successfully avoided. In this paper, a looped-chainbased active current sharing strategy is proposed to realize high accuracy current sharing in DC microgrids. In particular, the output current is shared between the neighboring interface converters. Hence, following a clockwise or counter-clockwise order, a loopedchain- based control diagram can be established to share the reference value of the output current. A final status in the whole DC microgrid is that the output current of every interface converter is equalized. Hence, the desired current sharing objective can be satisfied. A MATLAB simulation model is established to verify the proposed loopedchain- based active current sharing strategy in DC microgrids.

Opis:
This paper presents a load equivalent conductance based control method for a shunt active power filter. The principle of energy balance in the circuit, which means between supplying source - active filter - load, is used to obtain the control formula. The natural inertia of the active filter action is exploited, so no PI regulators are needed. The active filter can compensate for non-active current and, additionally, can stabilise the supplying source active power. In a case of generating loads energy harvesting is possible. The presented method is useful as well for voltage-source as current-source inverter based active filters, and for DC system as well as for AC single- or three-phase one.

Opis:
This paper presents the implementation of an active filter configuration for harmonic compensation. The system can be controlled for current harmonics and reactive power compensations simultaneously by using a converter operating as active shunt filter. A synchronous reference frame based controller is compared to an instantaneous reactive power based controller. The synchronous reference frame method is chosen to control the converter due to the better performance when the supply voltage is distorted. A shunt active filter system has been designed and built to meet IEEE 519 recommended harmonic standards. Simulation demonstrates the good performance of the active filter configuration. Experimental results, corresponding to the operation of the digital signal processor-controlled shunt active filter are also presented.

Opis:
Nowadays, the increasing number of non-linear loads influences the grid, causing grid voltage disturbances. These disturbances may be very dangerous for the equipment and can create faults in converter behaviour. However, the right control algorithm can improve the reliability of the work. For a current source rectifier, the finite control set model predictive control has been proposed. This method is very flexible because of the variety of the possible cost function forms. It has been examined under grid voltage disturbed by the higher harmonics and the voltage drop. Simulation results prove the ability to damp the distortions and to ensure the unity power factor. Summing up, the algorithm is a very good solution for use in applications such as battery charging, active power filtering and low-voltage direct current load feeding.

Opis:
A hybrid parallel active filter / off-line uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system is proposed. The hybrid system contains a single inverter which acts as a parallel active filter during the normal mode of operation (when the AC supply is available); and also supplies the load with energy from the UPS back-up battery during the back-up mode of operation (when the AC supply is not available or is beyond the preset tolerance). In both modes of operations the inverter is controlled in such way so that the line current is a pure sinusoid. This is to improve the input power factor and to eliminate the current harmonics in the first mode and to remove any stress on the back-up battery caused by the discharging during the second mode of operation. A full simulation results and an experimental setup is presented together with a closed loop control algorithm.

Opis:
Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) frequently encounter various external disturbances during flight. After experiencing such disturbances, the UAV’s power supply must quickly respond and maintain stable output. To address this problem, this paper proposes an improved active disturbance rejection control (IADRC) scheme combined with peak current mode control (PCMC) based on a six-phase interleaved parallel synchronous buck converter. Modal analysis was conducted on the synchronous buck converter, and small-signal modeling was performed under current control mode to analyze closed-loop stability. The dynamic response speed was improved by utilizing a peak current inner loop, enabling precise current sharing. The system’s disturbance rejection capability was enhanced by employing an improved extended state observer for real-time estimation of disturbances. This approach offers advantages such as high dynamics, strong disturbance rejection, and good current sharing. Finally, an experimental prototype with a rated power of 1000 W, maximum efficiency of 96.9%, and power density of 12.9 W/cm2 was constructed. Comparing three different control schemes, the response waveforms of the prototype verify the feasibility and advancement of the scheme in this paper.

Wyniki analizy właściwości przekładników elektronicznych wykazały, że w paśmie częstotliwości, w którym przekładnik jest wspomagany elektro-nicznie, wartości błędów przetwarzania, są mniejsze w porównaniu z błędami przekładnika pracującego bez wspomagania. Zdaniem autorów, najbardziej wydajnym sposobem minimalizacji błędów przekładników, jest prezentowany w referacie sposób wykorzystujący dynamiczną reduk-cję impedancji obwodu kompensującego strumień magnetyczny w rdzeniu, pozwalający na rozszerzenie pasma pracy bloku elektronicznego bez ingerencji w ich strukturę wewnętrzną.
Verified with laboratory-research the results of analysis the basis of function showed that transducers aided electronically can processing the de-formed current at the frequency to belong to the band of work of electronic block controlling of the compensation circuit of the stream in the core. A reason of limitation the band of work of this block is the saturation two transistors, determining the power output-degree the electronic block of transducer. The method permissive on the reduction of deviations put in by transducers helped electronically without the interference into its structure is not exist till now. In opinion of authors, a most effective method of correction of errors, is presented in paper the method which used dynamic reduction of the impedance of the circuit compensating. Presented below the method of the minimization of electronic transducers errors can be use for accessible on the market of system without the intervention into their internal structure.

Opis:
This paper describes a Fuzzy Logic approach to Shunt Active power filter (SAPF) versus Hybrid Active Power Filter (HAPF) using Simulink. Here hysteresis controlled PWM method is applied to the SAPF and HAPF as a current controller and Fuzzy logic controller as a inverter dc voltage controller. To reduce harmonics, Shunt Active Power Filters (SAPFs) are used with various control schemes, but Hybrid Active power filter is a power electronic device which has both the characteristics of passive power filters and active power filters, which helps in cancelation of the harmonics by producing compensating signal. The fuzzy-hysteresis controller is designed and its simulation results are presented for both the filter types, showing acceptable THD results for the word length used in the fixed-point computations involved in the switching sequence generation. The results of the above controller are compared with the Indirect current controller.
