Opis:: Social media are deemed influential in making decisions and seeking advice. Due to their explosive growth as critical channels for information, their content can trigger a place visit, a change of transport mode or destination, or plans’ cancellation. The main objective of this paper is to investigate the influence of social media on users’ activity and mobility planning. Responses of 738 participants in a digital survey were used to formulate ordinal regression models. The developed models determine the contribution of users’ demographic characteristics, travel characteristics and social media usage to mobility decisions after using social media as a source of information. These decisions were expressed in two dependent variables; (i) the impact of social media use in activity and mobility planning; (ii) the impact of the proposed transport mode by social media information, on mode choice. Analysis of the results indicated that the models, which considered all the characteristics together, could better predict the two variables.

The planning process in the Education Departments of Fryderyk Chopin National Institute in Warsaw

Opis:: The thesis's main aim is to present the planning processes in the Education Departments of the Fryderyk Chopin National Institute in Warsaw. The additional subject of research is the influence of the SARS-CoV-2 epidemic on planning activities in the investigated organizational cells. The work consists of three chapters. The first one contains an overview of the basic concepts and processes constituting the foundations of the theoretical output of management and organization sciences. The middle chapter is focused on the subject of cultural institutions in Poland, the profile of the Fryderyk Chopin National Institute and the activities of the Education Departments operating within it. The third chapter presents the methodological background accompanying the research and describes of the obtained results. Through the use of the case study method in research conducted with the help of interviews led via e-mail correspondence and the analysis of existing materials, an in-depth characterization of the patterns of conduct regarding the planning of educational projects, established in both units, was made. It was also shown that the epidemic state prevailing in the country did not affect the current course of planning processes in the Education Departments of NIFC.
Zasadniczym celem niniejszej pracy jest ukazanie procesów planowania w Działach Edukacji Narodowego Instytutu Fryderyka Chopina w Warszawie. Wątek poboczny stanowi wpływ epidemii wirusa SARS-CoV-2 na planowanie działań w badanych komórkach organizacyjnych. Na pracę składają się trzy rozdziały. Pierwszy zawiera omówienie podstawowych pojęć oraz procesów stanowiących fundamenty teoretycznego dorobku nauk o zarządzaniu i organizacji. Rozdział drugi poświęcony jest tematyce instytucji kultury w Polsce, przedstawieniu sylwetki Narodowego Instytutu Fryderyka Chopina oraz działalności funkcjonujących w jego obrębie Działów Edukacji. W rozdziale trzecim ukazano towarzyszące badaniom zaplecze metodologiczne oraz opisano uzyskane wyniki. Poprzez wykorzystanie metody studium przypadku w badaniach, przeprowadzonych za pomocą wywiadów odbytych drogą mailową oraz analizy materiałów zastanych, dokonano wnikliwej charakterystyki utrwalonych w obu jednostkach schematów postępowania dotyczących planowania projektów edukacyjnych. Wykazano również, iż panujący w kraju stan epidemiczny nie wpłynął na dotychczasowy przebieg procesów planowania w Działach Edukacji NIFC.

Opis:: One of the rationalization areas is the material supply process. New tasks of material supply are: integration of supply with the operation of the entire system, especially at the product design stage, effective use of material resources, reduction of the level of supply costs from the point of view of production costs. In the conditions of unit and small batch production the materials requirement needs to be carefully planned and optimized due to the use of many different kinds, types and sizes of materials and dynamic changes of demand over time. In this situation there are needed tools enabling the measurement of production costs for particular tasks on the basis of currently realized processes. One of these tools is activity based costing which is a groundwork for decision making process in the material supply area. Basing on activity based costing, a model of materials requirements planning was developed, which considers minimizing the number of different kinds and sizes of materials by using alternative materials and, consequently, lowering production costs.

Opis:: Environmental education in primary schools has not built sufficient awareness in formal-informal learning experience. The development of seamless learning is an alternative innovation in building students’ learning experiences. However, there is limited research on its implementation in the learning process in elementary schools with limited mobile technology. Therefore, the purpose of this research was to develop instructional design and learning planning matrices for seamless learning on teachers’ and students’ activities to facilitate formal and informal learning with limited use of mobile technology in elementary schools. Based on the instructional design and learning planning matrices developed, the context reconstruction in a seamless learning design was successfully used in guiding the teachers’ and students’ activities. The limitations of mobile technology in the schools could be replaced with the use of learning laboratories, as well as parents’ support at home. Furthermore, the instructional design and learning matrix developed were feasible, valid, and practical in application in elementary schools. Therefore, the community has a vital role to play in improving students’ learning experiences aside from schools.

Opis:: This paper studies spatial differences in the fluctuations of the regional building activity in Greece, by developing a composite multinomial logistic regression model expressing the building activity’s variability in socio-economic terms. The results show that the variability in building activity is related to economies of scale within the construction sector, along with the performance of two other Greek economy’s major sectors, i.e., tourism and tertiary, in highlighting a dependence on the prime drivers of economic and regional development. Overall, the research provides empirical evidence on the macro-economic modelling of spatial demand, based on a proxy incorporating all aspects of human activity in the geographical space.

In the article, the authors discuss issues concerning the financial management of the modern state, referring to good governance practices based on the concept of New Public Management ( NPM - New Public Management ) and public governance ( public management ). The purpose of this article is to demonstrate that the implementation of these concepts is related to the dissemination of management methods involving the implementation of programs addressing public needs with simultaneous concern for improving the efficiency of cash expenditure and quality of services. One of the most important methods of long-term planning is regarded as a basis to create annual plans or budgets. The article also presents polish regulations in this regard.

Opis:: Zaprezentowana w niniejszym artykule problematyka odnosi się do planowania przez nauczycieli zajęć plastycznych w klasach I–III opartych na metodzie praktycznej działalności uczniów. W części teoretycznej krótko przedstawiono koncepcje nauczania przedmiotu, nazywanego na początku rysunkiem, później wychowaniem plastycznym i w końcu plastyką. Wskazano czynniki wpływające na proces aktywizowania twórczości plastycznej uczniów. W postępowaniu badawczym zastosowano w ramach metody sondażu technikę ankiety skierowanej do nauczycieli, aby uzyskać odpowiedź na postawiony główny problem badawczy: jak przebiega we współczesnej szkole, na poziomie edukacji wczesnoszkolnej proces aktywności plastycznej, oparty na metodzie praktycznej działalności uczniów? Pisemne wskazania nauczycieli pozwoliły ustalić wynikające z problemu głównego odpowiedzi dotyczące: częstotliwości realizowanych przez nauczycieli godzin plastyki, typów zajęć plastycznych oraz podejmowanej tematyki, popularności technik plastycznych oraz problemów dostrzeganych przez badaną grupę podczas przygotowania zajęć z wykorzystaniem niektórych technik plastycznych. Analiza prezentowanych wyników pozwala wysunąć wnioski, że uczniowie w ramach aktywności plastycznej w szkole: najczęściej tworzą prace w oparciu o zapamiętane fakty oraz materiał ilustracyjny, natomiast najrzadziej prace plastyczne poobserwacyjne czy też opierające się na bezpośredniej obserwacji przedmiotów; najczęściej realizują treści odwołujące się do wydarzeń realnych, często inspirowanych tekstami literackimi lub muzyką, rzadziej natomiast tworzą prace o tematyce nierealnej (fantastycznej), a najrzadziej treścią ich działalności twórczej jest martwa natura; najczęściej realizują zadania plastyczne w oparciu o techniki rysunkowe i malarskie, a najrzadziej techniki przestrzenne i graficzne. Podsumowując, nauczyciele dostrzegają potrzebę organizowania w szkołach specjalistycznych pracowni plastycznych umożliwiających realizację zróżnicowanych zadań twórczych. Warto zintensyfikować zajęcia, na których jest rozwijany zmysł przestrzenny, tak istotny dla widzenia trzeciego wymiaru. Postuluje się ograniczenie zajęć, na których dzieci korzystają z gotowych wzorców na rzecz działań aktywizujących wyobraźnię uczniów i tworzenie własnych rozwiązań.
The issue to be analysed here concerns teachers’ planning of arts and crafts classes in Years I–III, with specific reference to methods featuring pupils’ practical activities. A theoretical part briefly presents the concepts involved in teaching a subject that was initially defined as drawing, then as arts and crafts education, and finally as arts and crafts classes. It points out the factors that influence the process of stimulating pupils’ artistic activities. The technique used in the course of this study, as determined by the scope and methods of the survey, was a questionnaire directed at teachers. Its aim was to answer the question that had been formulated as the main research problem: What is the process of artistic activity like in contemporary schools at early-school level, when based on methods featuringpupils’ practical activities? Recommendations set down in writing by teachers allowed some answers to be formulated that were relevant to the principal research problem here: the frequency of arts and crafts classes conducted by teachers, the types of class and their subject matter, the popularity of arts and crafts techniques, and the problems noticed by respondents examined while preparing classes using some of those same techniques. Analysis of the findings of the study enables us to then state that pupils, in the context of engaging in arts and crafts activities in school: most frequently create their drawings on the basis of memorized facts and illustrative material, and least frequently create so called after-observation drawings or works based on direct observation of objects; most frequently realize contents that refer to real events, often inspired by literary texts or by music, but rarely create works that concern unreal/ fantasy matters and most rarely pursue stilllife painting as their field of artistic activity: most frequently perform artistic tasks based on drawing and painting techniques, and very rarely use three-dimensional and graphic techniques. It can be concluded that teachers see a need to organize art studios in specialist schools, such as would enable various creative tasks to be performed. It would also be worth increasing and expanding classes aimed at developing pupils’ sense of space, as this is highly important for the perception of three-dimensional forms. There is also a call to limit classes where children use ready-made patterns, and to replace these with activities that stimulate their imaginations and encourage them to invent their own solutions.
