Opis:
Recently, a very interesting relation between symmetric minitive, maxitive, and modular aggregation operators has been shown. It turns out that the intersection between any pair of the mentioned classes is the same. This result introduces what we here propose to call the OM3 operators. In this paper we study some properties that may be useful when aggregating input vectors of varying lengths.

In this work expression for the collision efficiency was proposed based on the analysis of characteristic time scales of the aggregation process of silica nanoparticles. It allows us to ехріаіп the existence of metastable region of the colloidal silica and slow gelation in that region regardless of the vicinity of isoelectric point. The developed expression can be further used to determine the aggregation rate depending on the process parameters and characteristic properties of considered population of particles when used together with suitable collision kemel.

Opis:
Providing Privacy and security for aggregated data in wireless sensor networks has drawn the attention of practicing engineers and researchers globally. Several cryptographic methods have been already proposed to solve security and data integrity problems for aggregated data. Matrix cryptography is a better option for creating secure encryption/decryption algorithms to counter quantum attack. However, these algorithms have higher computational cost and increased communication overhead. Hence, a new technique of loss-less secure data aggregation in Clustered Wireless Sensor Networks is presented. The proposed method uses integer matrices as keys for data security and data integrity. Matrix operations are carried out in finite field Zp. Loss-less secure data aggregation is extended for homomorphic summation while the cipher text expansion ratio is kept substantially low. The proposed algorithm has inbuilt fast and efficient signature verification facility. The execution time of our signature verification mechanism is found to be approximately 50 percent less compared to a couple of standard existing signature verification schemes.

Opis:
Continuous no-till management of sloping cultivated areas can promote soil property transformations, causing changes in aggregation and dispersion. The objective of this work was (i) to quantify the readily and mechanically dispersible clays using different methods and (ii) to examine their relationships with soil properties along a catena under no-till management. For this study, the catena was divided into three distinct parts: crest, upper-slope and mid-slope positions. Undisturbed soil cores were sampled at each slope position to determine the following soil properties: organic carbon, Ca2+, Mg2+, K+, Al3+, P, pH, cation exchange capacity and total clay content. Additionally, the levels of readily dispersible clay were measured using turbidimeter and hydrometer methods, whereas mechanically dispersible clay was quantified using the turbidimeter method. We observed high influence of total clay content and organic carbon on soil flocculation; P, Mg2+ and cation exchange capacity were positively related to clay dispersion. Soil management and water transport downslope are probably influencing changes in soil properties and determining the distribution of dispersible clay contents along the catena. No relationships were observed between readily dispersible clay measured using turbidimeter and hydrometer in terms of quantity. Hydrometer and turbidimeter measurements can deliver significantly different results regarding dispersible clay quantification, potentially leading to misinterpretations concerning the amount of clay dispersed in water.

Opis:
Data aggregation is the process aimed at reducing the transmission count of packets being transmitted in the framework of in-network data processing. It is the data transmission model that takes the information transmitted from different nodes and generates a single data packet after finding and eliminating the redundant packets. Accordingly, this process decreases the transmission count and makes it possible to consume less energy. The major issues in data aggregation mechanism are related to reduction of latency and to energy balancing. Moreover, it is very complex to resolve the issue of packet loss, which is the failure of one or more transmitted packets to arrive at their destination due to the bad and/or congested channel conditions. The present survey involves a collection of 50 research papers dealing with the data aggregation models in wireless sensor networks (WSN). Various data aggregation methods, like the cluster-based approach, structure-free method, tree-based approach, in-network methods, and energy based aggregation model are considered in this survey, regarding the application and the energy usage involved. On the basis of the survey, the issues and drawbacks faced by the respective methodologies are highlighted. In addition, the paper presents simple statistics of the studies considered with respect to the performance measures, simulation tools, publication year, and classification of methods. The future dimensions of the respective research are supposed to be based on the challenges identified in this survey.

Opis:
The concept of coherent risk measures with its axiomatic characterization was discussed in a finite probability spaces. The aim of this paper is to apply a multivalued random variable as a multivalued risk measures, for description the risk of portfolio. This is a study related to aggregation problem. We study to alternative methods of aggregation: coherent aggregation of random portfolios and coherent aggregation of risk.
Koncepcja koherentnych miar ryzyka wraz z układem aksjomatów jest dyskutowana w skończonej przestrzeni probabilistycznej. Celem artykułu jest wykorzystanie wielowartościowych zmiennych losowych jako wielowartościowych miar ryzyka do opisu ryzyka portfela aktywów finansowych. Jest to problem agregacji informacji. Rozważamy dwa podejścia: koherentna agregacja losowych stop zwrotu z portfeli oraz koherentna agregacja ryzyka.

Opis:
Tree-based models are popular a widely used because they are simple, flexible and powerful tools for classification. Unfortunately they are not stable classifiers. Significant improvement of the model stability and prediction accuracy can be obtained by aggregation of multiple classification trees. Proposed methods, i.e. bagging, adaptive bagging, and arcing are based on sampling cases from the training set while boosting uses a system of weights for cases. The result is called committee of trees, an ensemble or a forest. Recent developments in this field showed that randomization (random selection of variables) in aggregated tree-based classifiers leads to consistent models while boosting can overfit. In this paper we discuss optimal parameter values for the method of random selection of variables (RandomForest) for an aggregated tree-based model (i.e. number of trees in the forest and number of variables selected for each split).

Opis:
In this work, the effect of magnetite with different particle sizes on the flotation performance of both coarse and fine hematite particles were investigated by using sodium oleate as a collector. The results showed that the magnetite particles with different particle sizes showed a negative effect on hematite (-106+45 μm) recovery, but the addition of magnetite with the same particle sizes as hematite during the direct flotation of -45 μm hematite was beneficial to improve the recovery of micro-fine hematite and the Fe grade of concentrate. The finer the magnetite particle was, the more obvious the agglomeration effect of hematite was. Therefore, the beneficial effect could be achieved by adjusting the particle sizes of particles. Moreover, sodium oleate was beneficial to promote the agglomeration of micro-fine magnetite and hematite. The results from the microscopic analysis, laser particle size analysis, and EDLVO calculation proved that there was an effective aggregation between fine magnetite and fine hematite particles, which increased the apparent size of hematite particles and the probability of the mineral particles adhering to bubbles, thus improving the hematite recovery.

Opis:
This article presents the structure of the ATLAs Alignment Module, a typological database designed to exhaustively capture language-internal variation in argument marking (indexing and flagging). The flexible design of our database can be extended to cover further aspects of morphosyntactic alignment. We demonstrate with a small diversity sample how the database can be queried and the data aggregated at different levels of structure (e.g. for a language as a whole or for in-dividual referential types in the form of alignment statements) for the purposes of cross-linguistic comparison. The database is made avail-able in the Cross-Linguistic Data Formats (CLDF), and we provide code that generates an array of aggregations.

Opis:
Disruption of the neuronal membrane by toxic amyloid β oligomers is hypothesized to be the major event associated with Alzheimer's disease's neurotoxicity. Misfolding of amyloid β is followed by aggregation via different pathways in which structurally different amyloid β oligomers can be formed. The respective toxic actions of these structurally diverse oligomers can vary significantly. Linking a particular toxic action to a structurally unique kind of amyloid β oligomers and resolving their toxicity-determining feature remains challenging because of their transient stability and heterogeneity. Moreover, the lipids that make up the membrane affect amyloid β oligomers' behavior, thus adding to the problem's complexity. The present review compares and analyzes the latest results to improve understanding of amyloid β oligomers' interaction with lipid bilayers.
