Opis:: The coastal location of the Polish is of strategic importance for national security, and socio-political development, with all the resulting consequences. The words "removed" from the document The strategic concept of maritime safety, which in February 2017. signed President Andrzej Duda. There is no doubt that the environment of the Navy have been waiting for the manifestation of the most important activity of individuals and institutions in the country, from at least a dozen years. Today, when the "Word made flesh", the same environment has the right to expect that the declarations will follow specific organisational and investment wise marine and service prestige full participation of the Navy in the implementation of the maritime policy of the Member States. Referring to the various analyses, assessments and statements the author tries to diagnose the current state of the fleet and scratch the necessary "investments" that make it a strong link in the system of State security.

Opis:: Armed conflicts between states and friction within international organizations, not forgetting wars in the economic-technological, and economic-commercial dimension, including issues related to natural resources, raw materials, and energy, are part of an attempt to position elites in a new axiological-political space. This article takes up the complex and contentious issue of the security crisis in the European dimension, with an emphasis on international and transnational issues, while focusing on the transformation of the existing political, social, axiological, and cultural order. In other words, the issue concerns the new paradigm of civilization, which has been taking shape on a global scale since the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries. The main intention and purpose of the study is to present the complex problem of specificity of the European security, pointing to the processes and phenomena that change the architecture of the world order, taking into account the international, transnational, and migration contexts. As far as the diagnosis of the current international situation is concerned, it concerns the conviction about the regression of the old civilization and cultural patterns, valid in the 19th and 20th century, and the formation of a new paradigm from the turn of the 20th and 21st century (until 2019), determining the economy, politics, and society.

Opis:: According to some historians, Mazovia once had a separate political existence, with a different form of economy, a social structure and customs that differedfrom those of the Crown, a separate dialect, and its own laws.One of theoutward expressions of its separate existence was its own dynasty. To defend its independence, Mazovia entered into feudal contracts with Bohemia and Kazimierz III the Great. Mazovian dukes also paid homage to Władysław Jagiełło, not only as an acknowledgment of dependence, but also of certain obligations the dukes took upon themselves. After the death of Władysław Jagiełło, a group of Lesser Poland lords proposed the candidature of Siemowit V as king of Poland, and Mazovia had a chance to play a more significant role in Polish politics. It should be stressed that while Siemowit IV still enjoyed popularity on the political scene, his sons, particularly after they divided their patrimony among themselves in 1434, very soon lost significance. The period of the greatest regional disintegration of Mazovia began and the province soon lost any political significance.

Opis:: In the paper, the consequences of the influence of globalisation on the market of air transport are assessed. It is shown that alliances and code-share agreements constitute fundamental elements of this process. Basic stimuli and their results were analysed and the outcome shows that the aim of global corporations is integrating companies, markets and economic systems into a homogeneous system encompassing the whole world. The aim of this paper is to present the significance of alliances and code-share agreements in the development of globalisation of air transport. Critical analysis of literature and deduction were used, which allowed to formulate appropriate conclusions and recommendations. Additionally, the method of assessment of complexity of relations between air transport and socio-economic phenomena was used. The identification of processes and sources of competitive stimuli along with barriers in functioning, and the development of both, the sector of air transport and the market as a whole were also taken into consideration. The analysis of activity of subjects forming the global market of air transport services under the conditions of growing competition was made.

Opis:: Let $ G = (V, E) $ be a simple graph without isolated vertices and minimum degree $ \delta $, and let $ k \in \{ 1 − \ceil{ \delta // 2 }, . . ., \floor{ \delta // 2 } \} $ be an integer. Given a set $ M \subset V $, a vertex $ v $ of G is said to be $k$-controlled by $M$ if $ \delta_M (v) \ge \tfrac{ \delta G(v) }{2}+k $, where $ \delta_M(v) $ represents the number of neighbors of $v$ in $M$ and $ \delta_G(v) $ the degree of $v$ in $G$. A set $M$ is called an open $k$-monopoly if every vertex $v$ of $G$ is $k$-controlled by $M$. The minimum cardinality of any open $k$-monopoly is the open $k$-monopoly number of $G$. In this article we study the open $k$-monopoly number of strong product graphs. We present general lower and upper bounds for the open $k$-monopoly number of strong product graphs. Moreover, we study in addition the open 0-monopolies of several specific families of strong product graphs.

The effectiveness of financial, marketing and technological incentives as well as of deterrents depends on expected outcomes (such as: decreasing transaction costs, creating lock-ins, stimulating innovativeness or restricting development of competitive products) and technology life cycle stages. The article helps shape partnership strategies and optimize investments, needed to motivate and control partners.

Tytuł:: Divided we stand? : examining the European Unions ability to withstand external wedging

Opis:: External wedging poses a fundamental challenge to European strategic autonomy. Powerful external actors often exploit or create internal divisions within the European Union (EU), whether intentionally or not. Why can the EU successfully resist external wedging in some cases but not others? Drawing on the European integration literature, we contend that the EU’s ability to repel external wedging requires a critical mass of member states determined to bind the EU together and is facilitated by the degree of institutional centralisation. However, cohesion is a necessary but not sufficient condition for the EU to repel external wedging. Drawing on alliance scholarship, we argue that powerful and determined external dividers can often break EU cohesion. Assuming a high degree of internal cohesion, we posit that the greater the EU binder(s)’ reward/coercive power and stakes relative to the divider’s on a given issue, the higher the EU’s chances of repelling external wedging.

Opis:: Globalization poses new challenges, while also providing development opportunities for strong and dynamic enterprises and new sectors which shape the world markets and economy and contribute to a more global approach to business activities. The business activities undertaken in each country depend on a number of factors, and these factors are often similar due to globalization, though their impacts appear to vary. In addition, changes in economies progress at different speeds, thus this article aims to determine how the impact of change in the global economy influences transformations in ownership in container shipping. The organization and operation of global container shipping is shaped by numerous external factors, i.e. economic, geographical, and political factors. The impact of these factors varies depending on the specific aspect of the container shipping industry being discussed. This paper was motivated by the need to determine the container fleet size and ownership structure in container shipping, and whether these are changing as the industry evolves. The stated aim of this research requires the use of statistical methods and a literature review to allow for a comparative study of the size and ownership relations in container shipping.

Autorzy dokonali również analizy poziomu innowacyjności krajów z regionu CEE, biorąc pod uwagę wskaźniki kluczowe z punktu widzenia tworzenia aliansów otwartych innowacji.
The aim of this article is to identify the potential of the biopharmaceutical sector in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) as an opportunity for the development of open innovation alliances and new forms of cooperation in biopharmaceuticals companies based on the latest data from ASAP (Association of Strategic Alliance Professionals) and National Science Center research project. The authors also analyzed the level of innovation of CEE countries, taking into account key indicators for the creation of open innovation alliances.
