Opis:
Traditional Earth observation satellite cannot work well in terms of emergencies, environmental uncertainties and scientific events discovery. Therefore, it is of significance to study the new generation of autonomous Earth observation satellite. In order to develop an autonomous satellite system with distributed and coordinated functions, this paper proposes an autonomous satellite system based on distributed multi-agent blackboard model. Multiple agents including functions of pre-processing, planning, scheduling and execution are designed. Agents share information and communicate through a blackboard which stores the task sequence, the action sequence and the satellite status. An adaptive rule-based heuristic scheduling algorithm and a forward search planning algorithm are proposed. The simulation experiments and computational results prove that the system can deal with scientific events discovery, satellite faults, cloud obscuration and emergencies without human intervention, which can greatly enhance the efficiency and reliability of Earth observation satellites. The validity of the proposed model and algorithm is proved.
W celu opracowania autonomicznego systemu satelitarnego o rozproszonych i skoordynowanych funkcjach, w niniejszej pracy zastosowano rozproszony wieloagentowy model tablicowy. W pracy wykazano trafność proponowanego modelu i algorytmów.

This paper deals with the case of a target satellite in an unknown orientation and location with respect to the master satellite. Feature based monocular pose estimation vision system was presented. The results of analysis, implementation and testing of simulation intended for vision-based navigation applications such as rendezvous of satellites and formation flying are shown. The mobile robot was used as the platform for the vision system. Pose estimation algorithms were implemented in Matlab environment. It was obtained that the proposed method is robust on varying and low light conditions.

Opis:
The spacecraft's lifetime is often limited by reliability and redundancy of its components. Furthermore, serious restrictions on duration of spacecraft operations are posed by finite amount of fuel or cooling agent. It is also clear that once a satellite is launched, it is extremely difficult to replace/modify its hardware on the orbit. Future spacecraft missions, especially huge planetary orbiters, will require servicing support from autonomous unmanned satellites. In this paper we introduce and analyze a new scenario for interception of a free rotating satellite ion a Keplerian orbit. The scenario is divided into several stages to be executed by the servicing satellite: attitude determination of the target object; own motion planning; determination of the optimal target position and orientation before docking; controlled approach, i.e., decreasing of a range between satellites; orbiting of the servicing satellite around the target satellite; docking, i.e., radial degreasing of the intersatellite range till the satellites contact, while keeping constant the relative orienta- tion between them. The control algorithm for the servicing satellite motion during its maneuvers is described. Finally, a few examples of satellite motion simulations according to the proposed scenario are presented.

This article deals with the situation of a space debris or not working satellite in an unidentified pose with respect to the master satellite. Feature based monocular pose estimation vision system was presented. The results of numerical simulation were described. The results of implementation and testing of simulation intended for vision-based navigation applications such as rendezvous of satellites and formation flying is shown. In this document markerless local features based navigation system has been studied. The proposed vision navigation system satellites are able to determine the position and orientation of a target in relation to the coordinate system of the camera. It relates from the time when the satellite is visible as a small object until docking with the chaser. A modified algorithm soft Position Iterations was used to estimate the pose of the target. Visual navigation system uses a single camera. The impact of changes in illumination of the object was analysed. In order to reproduce the space conditions the laboratory stand was built. The developed method was tested experimentally for different scenarios approach satellites to each other. Comparing the ground truth position and orientation and the results obtained with the aim of vision navigation system it is worth nothing to observe accuracy of the developed method. Achieved satisfactory performance of the algorithm.

Opis:
Although integrity concepts for Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) are ubiquitous in the aviation community, integrity algorithms of comparable maturity have not yet been developed for maritime users. The International Maritime Organization (IMO) specifies requirements different from those specified by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). These different requirements affect the design of the integrity algorithms with respect to integrity risk allocation and threat space. This paper describes a novel integrity algorithm based on conditions valid for maritime users. The performance of the novel integrity algorithm has been assessed and compared to a conventional Receiver Autonomous Integrity Monitoring (RAIM) approach consistent with IMO requirements.

Opis:
Small autonomous surface vehicles (ASV) will need both teleoperation support and redundant positioning technology to comply with expected future regulations. When at sea, they are limited by a satellite communication link with low throughput. We have designed and implemented a graphical user interface (GUI) for teleoperation using a communication link with low throughput, and one positioning system, independent of the Global Positioning System (GPS), supported by the teleoperation tool. We conducted a user study (N=16), using real-world data from a field trial, to validate our approach, and to compare two variants of the graphical user interface (GUI). The users experienced that the tool gives a good overview, and despite the connection with the low throughput, they managed through the GUI to significantly improve the positioning accuracy.

Opis:
At the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries, development of microelectronics and microwave techniques allowed for minimization of electronic devices and systems, and the use of microwave frequency bands for modern radio communication systems. On the other hand, the global navigation satellite system (GNSS) have contributed to the popularization of radio navigation in civilian applications. These factors had a direct impact on the development and dissemination of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). In the initial period, the UAVs were used mainly for the army needs. This results also from the legal aspects of the UAV use in the airspace. Currently, commercial UAVs for civilian applications, such as image recognition, monitoring, transport, etc., are presented increasingly. Generally, the GNSS system accuracy for the UAV positioning during a flight is enough. However, the GNSS use for automatic takeoff and landing may be insufficient. The extensive, ground-based navigation support systems used at airports by manned aircraft testify to these. In the UAV case, such systems are not used due to their complexity and price. For this reason, the novel dedicated take-off and landing systems are developed. The proposal of the autonomous landing system, which is based on the Doppler effect, was presented in 2017. In this case, the square-based beacon configuration was analyzed. This paper shows the influence of various beacon configurations in the Doppler-based landing system on the positioning error during the UAV landing approach.
