Cracow’s cycling infrastructure is rich and varied. Depending on the district, various types of bicycle paths may dominate, ranging from counter lanes, as in the case in the Old Town district, through pedestrian and bicycle routes, which are dominant in the Zwierzyniec and Dębniki districts ending bicycle pathways, which constitute the largest percentage bicycle routes, e.g., in the Nowa Huta or Czyżyny districts. These routes are also used differently depending on the place and type of path. Some will be used for recreational purposes, such as the Vistula boulevards, while others will be used for commute purposes, such as Dietl street. Additionally, the bicycle infrastructure affects road traffic in Cracow. The extensive bicycle infrastructure will help reduce congestion, as is the case on Dietl street, and the lack of facilities for cyclists will cause greater congestion, as is the case on Starowiślna street. Infrastruktura rowerowa Krakowa jest bogata i zróżnicowana. W zależności od dzielnicy dominować mogą różne typy ścieżek rowerowych, począwszy od kontrapasów, jak ma to miejsce w dzielnicy Stare Miasto, poprzez ciągi pieszo-rowerowe, które rolę dominującą mają w dzielnicy Zwierzyniec i Dębniki, kończąc na drogach dla rowerów, które stanowią największy procent tras rowerowych np. w dzielnicach Nowa Huta czy Czyżyny. Trasy te, są także różnie użytkowane w zależności od miejsca i typu ścieżki. Jedne będą użytkowane rekreacyjnie, jak np. bulwary wiślane, inne zaś używane będą w celach dojazdowych, jak np. ul. Dietla. Dodatkowo, infrastruktura rowerowa wpływa na ruch drogowy w Krakowie. Rozbudowana infrastruktura rowerowa będzie sprzyjać zmniejszeniu kongestii, tak jak ma to miejsce na ul.
