Opis:: The objective of this study is to investigate the level of understanding of blockchain technology for businesses in the service sector and the level of impact of blockchain technology on business operations in the service sector, with the further aim of recommending readiness planning for the impact of blockchain technology on business operations in the service sector. The outcome of the study revealed that participants perceived the overall level of impact of blockchain technology on business operations in the service sector to be at mid-level. However, almost half of the participants were unsure about the level of impact of blockchain technology on business operations in the service sector. The issue about which most participants were uncertain was if the application of blockchain technology in businesses in the service sector could facilitate their work or coordination with suppliers. 58.40% of participants were unsure about this issue. Furthermore, the outcome of the study showed that understanding blockchain technology influenced the impact of blockchain technology on business operations in the service sector and could forecast 61.4% of the impact. As for readiness planning for the impact of blockchain technology on business operations in the service sector, it can be recommended that operators prepare their personnel and human resources, both in terms of numbers and capacity, to respond to changing trends in the market as well as basic understanding about blockchain technology. Operators should also prepare their business infrastructure by setting up a system to develop blockchain technology for management work within their organizations.
Celem niniejszego opracowania jest zbadanie poziomu zrozumienia technologii blockchain dla przedsiębiorstw w sektorze usług oraz poziomu wpływu technologii blockchain na działalność biznesową w sektorze usług, z dalszym celem rekomendacji planowania gotowości na wpływ technologia blockchain w działalności biznesowej w sektorze usług. Wyniki badania wykazały, że uczestnicy postrzegali ogólny poziom wpływu technologii blockchain na działalność biznesową w sektorze usług jako średni. Jednak prawie połowa uczestników nie była pewna poziomu wpływu technologii blockchain na działalność biznesową w sektorze usług. Kwestią, co do której większość uczestników była niepewna, było to, czy zastosowanie technologii blockchain w firmach z sektora usług może ułatwić im pracę lub koordynację z dostawcami. 58,40% uczestników było niepewnych tego problemu. Ponadto wyniki badania wykazały, że zrozumienie technologii blockchain wpłynęło na wpływ technologii blockchain na działalność biznesową w sektorze usług i może prognozować 61,4% wpływu. Jeśli chodzi o planowanie gotowości na wpływ technologii blockchain na działalność biznesową w sektorze usług, można rekomendować, aby operatorzy przygotowali swój personel i zasoby ludzkie, zarówno pod względem liczebności, jak i zdolności, do reagowania na zmieniające się trendy na rynku, a także podstawowe zrozumienie technologii blockchain. Operatorzy powinni również przygotować swoją infrastrukturę biznesową, tworząc system do rozwijania technologii blockchain do prac zarządczych w ich organizacjach.

Opis:: Aim: Blockchain technology (BCT) is a relatively new technological development, promising strong gains in the areas of product traceability and visibility, end-to-end coordination (E2E), governance, and efficiency of supply chains. The aim of this study is to gain a better understanding of the impact of BCT on these performance measures. Design / Research methods: Hypotheses were tested with survey data from 119 supply chain professionals from Northern American SMEs. Conclusions / findings: The results confirm the positive impacts of BCT on all performance measures. E2E coordination is the integration of information, goods, and money within an organisation or supply chain. E2E coordination appeared to benefit from the use of BCT, enabling information sharing in a safe way. The findings suggest that BCT use fosters E2E coordination, which in its turn also positively affects financial performance. Originality / value of the article: Despite the increasing interest in and use of, BCT, there is little empirical evidence for the effect on supply chain performance. Many studies are anecdotal and lack empirical evidence. Implications of the research (if applicable): Companies should acknowledge the impact of BCT use on the various supply chain performance measures. Implementing and using BCT is likely to foster improvement in a wide range of performance indicators. Limitations of the research (if applicable): Companies use different types, versions, varieties, and forks of blockchain, all having their own strong and weak points. Future studies could investigate and include the nuances within different forks of BCT.

Opis:: Tunisia is a growing economy and in the midst of social, political, economic, technological and epidemiological transition. As a developing economy, Tunisia encounters related concerns in their healthcare sector. Opportunities include the mitigation of risks associated with counterfeit medicines including vaccines (“drugs”). Moreover, significant issues include drug availability and wastage, a fragmented healthcare information system. Overall, these issues are compounded by a lack of collaboration between healthcare stakeholders in setting priorities and moving the sector towards a patient-focused model of healthcare and preventative medicine. Many of these issues may be suited to the adoption of new technologies such as Blockchain and multiple case studies will be outlined within the scope of this paper. The present study aims to address the current issues and challenges pertaining to the healthcare sector in Tunisia and to contextualize the role of new technologies in providing better patient care, improved financial management and improved patient safety.

Celem niniejszej pracy jest przedstawienie, w jaki sposób przebiega adaptacja banków do technologii blockchain. Aby pokazać przebieg adaptacji autor tej pracy szczegółowo opisał przykłady wdrożenia łańcuchów blokowych w struktury banków polskich i zagranicznych. Praca zawiera trzy rozdziały. Pierwszy z nich jest poświęcony istocie bankowości. Drugi natomiast zawiera rozważania na temat technologii blockchain, zwłaszcza jej cech oraz korzyści z jej wykorzystania. Ostatnia część pracy, czyli rozdział praktyczny zawiera kilka studiów przypadku stosowania technologii blockchain przez banki. Praca została napisana na podstawie źródeł książkowych, artykułów naukowych, witryn internetowych instytucji wspomnianych w pracy oraz materiałów dostępnych w sieci.
The evolution of digital technologies causes changes in the ways banks operate. One of the modern technologies that significantly affect the functioning of the banking world is blockchain technology. Blockchain significantly increases the efficiency of banks’ operations, generates savings and increases security of transactions. Many entities see the potential of block chains and look for solutions, where they could be useful. The aim of this thesis is to present banks’ strategy of adaptation to blockchain. To show that process, the author described in detail the examples of the implementation of blockchain in the structure of Polish and foreign banks. The work contains three chapters. The first of them is dedicated to the essence of banking. The second one contains considerations on blockchain technology, especially its features and benefits from its use. The last part of work contains several case studies of uses blockchain technology by banks. The thesis was written on the basis of book sources, scientific articles, websites of institutions mentioned in the work and materials available on the web.

Opis:: The article presents the issues covering the modern methods of securing data in both manufacturing processes and companies within the concept of Industry 4.0. In this approach, research problems arose how to implement the right method of secure data sending in sales, manufacturing and distribution processes. It is a very important issue for manufacturing companies as well as how the process of sending electronic data should be safely conducted. While current researches concentrated on the method of blockchain secured electronic documents, there is almost no research concentrating on blockchain integrator selection criteria. The main purpose of this paper is to provide a decision assistance model based on multiple criteria decision analysis technique. Also, mutual relationships between parameters for the assessment of integrators are established. In the article, a Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) was used to assess these characteristics. The Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) technique was chosen for this assessment.

Opisano przebieg rozwoju kryptowalut w Polsce, możliwość uniezależnienia się od banków dzięki technologii Blockchain i przestawiono zagrożenia inwestycji w kryptowaluty przez firmy. W ostatnim rozdziale przeprowadzono badania, które pozwoliły na pokazanie możliwości rozwoju kryptowalut na świecie w przyszłości, jak i przedstawiono wyniki i wnioski z badań.
This master's thesis examines how cryptocurrencies will impact the global economy. Over the past years, cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and others have gained significant popularity and interest among individual investors, companies, governments, and the technological community. The aim of this thesis is to investigate the potential for the development of the global economy through cryptocurrencies.The thesis consists of three chapters, which were developed based on academic literature, market analysis, and expert assessments. The first chapter describes the essence and concept of cryptocurrencies in a theoretical framework. A comparison is made between Bitcoin and gold, highlighting the advantages and disadvantages of holding these assets. The process of conducting transactions using cryptocurrencies is presented, along with tools for storing cryptocurrencies. Major altcoins and investment methods in cryptocurrencies are also discussed. In the second chapter, Bitcoin is described as an international form of money, and cryptocurrencies used by companies as investments are discussed. The development of cryptocurrencies in Poland, the potential for independence from banks through Blockchain technology, and the risks associated with corporate investments in cryptocurrencies are addressed. The final chapter presents research findings on the future potential of cryptocurrencies worldwide and provides conclusions based on the research conducted.
