Opis:: The article is devoted to the experience of war in the story Tartak by Ivan Ptashnikav. The composition resembles a road novel. Its plot is created by the stories of successive characters who recount in detail their life in the countryside, about their past and finally their death as a result of shelling during the journey. The central theme of the work - the tragedy of the inhabitants of the village of Dalva, which was burned by the occupiers - was shown by the writer from the perspective of several different characters. Ptashnikav used the point of view technique here, situating the narrator's field of observation in various forms. the prose writer will direct his attention to showing war as an individual experience. This is evidenced by the narrator's concentration on the mental world of the characters, on the influence of external events on the spiritual experiences of the individual.

The author analyzes the essence of border situations from the perspective of pedagogics, understood as an educational and upbringing practice and pedagogy treated as a scientific reflection on the man. Category of border situation is treated as a frame linking pedagogy with pedagogics. Man's wisdom and his ability to cope with its inevitability reveals in it. The question is whether we are able to prepare for such a meeting. The answer is still open, although shown in the text reorientation of our lives from "the pursuit of the objectives" on " being on the road" allows for moderate optimism.

Opis:: This article entirely concerns the philosophical determinants of political change in the European Union with a systemic character. In it, the author decided to scientifi cally identify and analyze selected concepts and sequences of thought in the field of political philosophy – mainly of neoidealistic character – helpful in explaining and understanding the processes of deconstructing political thought relating to European integration. It was important for the author to create an ideal conceptual framework for preparing empirical anti-crisis strategies, forecasts and scenarios of changes in the European Union. This scheme is particularly important in the context of the Kantian methodological architecture of pure reason. The basis here is the process of cognitive cognition from the arranged concepts – forming one compact analytical system. It is worth noting that the process of distinguishing determinants (concepts) related to the political philosophy of the European Union must take place while maintaining methodological mindfulness – both qualitative and quantitative. In view of the above, the next analytical assumption for this text is based on the author’s conviction that the change having the character of transformation (regulation and transformation) should be made mainly under the influence of philosophical theories, ideas and visions, and not the ever-changing and reactive political actions of the actors / entities participating in the European integration process.

Niepełnosprawność ruchowa jako sytuacja graniczna w osobowym rozwoju kobiety

Opis:: The aim of my paper is to present changes in personal development of women who sustained physical disability as a border situation, as well as to determine whether and in what scope their situation prompts their personal development, or whether it has quite opposite effect that causes various abnormalities. Research has been conducted in a group of forty women that meet certain criteria. All the women experienced a sudden loss of physical ability which took place no sooner than after they finished 17 years old, they move with the usage of wheelchairs, and they have been disabled for at least 2 years. In the research, five methods have been applied, two of them being biographical methods: Historia życia McAdamsa, and an interview Ja i moja niepełnosprawność of my own authorship; whereas Skala Badania Obrazu Własnej Osoby (Skala Samooceny) by W. H. Fitts, Skala Postaw Wobec Choroby by M. Wandrasz, and Skala Wartości Schelerowskich by P. Brzozowski are surveys. As the research indicates, the majority of disabled women handled the border situation caused by sudden loss of physical ability well, and they continued their personal development. However, the tempo, harmoniousness, cohesion, and continuity of development were different for each of the women. By conducting a cluster analysis, three study groups that displayed similar level of personal development were determined. Two groups began their physical development, whereas one group found itself in stagnation.
Celem mojej pracy badawczej jest ukazanie zmian w rozwoju osobowym kobiet wskutek doznania niepełnosprawności ruchowej jako sytuacji granicznej oraz określenie czy i w jakim zakresie sytuacja ta jest czynnikiem dynamizującym ich rozwój osobowy, czy wręcz przeciwnie powodującym wystąpienie w nim różnego rodzaju nieprawidłowości. Badaniami objęto grupę 40 kobiet dobranych w sposób celowy. Wszystkie badane kobiety doznały nagłej utraty sprawności, poruszają się przy pomocy wózka inwalidzkiego, doznanie niepełnosprawności pojawiło się po 17 roku życia, a czas trwania niepełnosprawności przekracza 2 lata. W badaniu zastosowano pięć metod badawczych, z czego dwie metody: Historia życia McAdamsa, wywiad "Ja i moja niepełnosprawność" - własnego autorstwa, to metody biograficzne, natomiast pozostałe trzy: Skala Badania Obrazu Własnej Osoby (Skala Samooceny) W. H. Fitts'a, Skala Postaw Wobec Choroby - M. Wandrasza, Skala Wartości Schelerowskich - SWS - P. Brzozowskiego, - to metody kwestionariuszowe. Wyniki wskazują, że większość niepełnosprawnych kobiet poradziła sobie z sytuacją graniczną, jaką jest nagłe doznanie niepełnosprawności i powróciła na drogę rozwoju osobowego. Jednak dynamika rozwoju, a więc jego tempo, harmonijność, spójność oraz ciągłość, była różna dla wielu kobiet. Dzięki przeprowadzonej analizie skupień udało się wyłonić trzy grupy badawcze, które charakteryzowały się zbliżonym dynamizmem rozwoju osobowego. Dwie grupy badanych kobiet ropoczęły drogę rozwoju osobowego, natomiast jedna grupa nadal znadowała się w strefie utraconego rozwoju.

Opis:: Taking up the challenges by literary heroes may be varied in nature and involve a variety of experiences. One of them, which places extraordinary demands before the individual, is the experience of limits, called - after Karl Jaspers - border situation. Border situation is a moment in which there is a reevaluation of a whole life: according to Bartłomiej Dobroczyński it is coming to one’s own borders - mental, emotional, self-knowledge boundaries, the boundaries of your former world. Border situation makes it necessary to make a choice: surviving it is combined with the loss of original identity, so that places the individual before a special challenge - to build anew their life, bearing in mind what had already happened, on the "the ruins" of the existing, recognized as safe, world. It seems that the border situation appears particularly often in the anti-utopian novels - such are certainly We by J. Zamiatin, Brave New World by A. Huxley, R. Bradbury’s 4510 Farenheit, And came the blissful age by J. Mark, Face to the earth by M. Parowski, This wonderful day by I. Levin and Paradise, the World in Orbit by J. Zajdel. Their heroes at some point are being confronted with a reality other than they imagined it. They have to cope with the knowledge that their previous life was a fiction - in this moment they also have to make a decision, knowing that their whole life depends on that decision, and often - also the existence of others. Whatever they decide, their life changes forever. Regardless of the results of their efforts, their heroism is to build a new identity based not on the utopian (often built on fiction) but on objective reality. Regardless of whether they win this battle, or for their choices they pay the highest price - they win if only they remain faithful to what they had learned about themselves when they had experienced border situation.
Podejmowanie wyzwań przez bohaterów literackich może mieć wieloraki charakter i dotyczyć różnorodnych doświadczeń. Jednym z nich, które stawia przed jednostką nadzwyczajne wymagania, jest doświadczenie graniczne, nazywane inaczej - za Karlem Jaspersem - sytuacją graniczną. Sytuacja graniczna to moment, w którym następuje przewartościowanie całego życia: według Bartłomieja Dobroczyńskiego jest dojściem do własnych granic - psychicznych, emocjonalnych, granic samowiedzy, granic swego dotychczasowego świata. Sytuacja graniczna sprawia, że należy dokonać wyboru: jej przeżycie łączy się z utratą dotychczasowej tożsamości, zatem stawia jednostkę przed wyjątkowym wyzwaniem - zbudowania na nowo swego życia, już ze świadomością tego, co się zdarzyło, "na gruzach" dotychczasowego, uznawanego za bezpieczny, świata. Wydaje się, że sytuacje graniczne pojawiają się szczególnie często w powieściach antyutopijnych - do takich należą z pewnością My J. Zamiatina, Nowy, wspaniały świat A. Huxley’a, 4510 Farenheita R. Bradbury’ego, I nastał wiek błogi J. Marka, Twarzą ku ziemi M. Parowskiego, Ten wspaniały dzień I. Levina czy Paradyzja J. Zajdla. Ich bohaterowie w pewnym momencie zostają skonfrontowani z rzeczywistością inną niż ją sobie wyobrażali. Muszą poradzić sobie ze świadomością, że ich dotychczasowe życie było fikcją - w tym momencie muszą też podjąć decyzję, wiedząc, że zależy od niej całe ich życie, a często - egzystencja również innych osób. Niezależnie od dokonanego wyboru ich życie zmienia się na zawsze. Niezależnie od wyników podejmowanych wysiłków ich heroizm polega na zbudowaniu nowej tożsamości zakorzenionej nie w utopijnej (często zbudowanej na fikcji) lecz w obiektywnej rzeczywistości. Niezależnie od tego, czy walkę tę wygrywają, czy też za swoje wybory płacą najwyższą cenę - zwyciężają o tyle, o ile pozostają wierni temu, czego dowiedzieli się o sobie, doświadczając sytuacji granicznej.

Opis:: Problematyka doświadczenia granicznego była i nadal jest bardzo ważnym zagadnieniem w sztuce dawnej i współczesnej. Tematyka śmierci, winy, utraty, cierpienia przykuwała uwagę artystów reprezentujących różne dyscypliny sztuki, różne estetyki i sposoby ekspresji artystycznej: literaturę i poezję, sztuki plastyczne, film, jak również sztuki multimedialne. Celem artykułu jest zwrócenie uwagi na obszar, który rzadko jest przedmiotem rozważań w odniesieniu do tematyki sytuacji granicznej. Współczesny komiks (szczególnie powieść graficzna) jest – w wbrew utartym opiniom – tym rodzajem sztuki współczesnej, w której poruszane są ważne i niełatwe treści, a ich autorzy szukają takich środków artystycznego wyrazu (opartego na symbiozie słowa i obrazu), aby te niełatwe zagadnienia w sposób niebanalny i atrakcyjny wizualnie przedstawić. Na przykładzie komiksu autorstwa F. Grolleau, J. Royera, Audubon. Na skrzydłach świata, opisującego dzieje życia i twórczości J.-J. Audubona, pioniera ornitologii amerykańskiej i wybitnego ilustratora przyrody, podjęta zostanie próba analizy estetyki, formy i treści wobec problematyki graniczności i relacji między tym, co ludzkie i co nie-ludzkie.
The issue of border experience has been, and still is, a very important topic in ancient and contemporary art. The themes of death, guilt, loss and suffering have attracted the attention of artists representing various art disciplines, aesthetics and modes of artistic expression: literature and poetry, visual arts, film as well as multimedia arts. The aim of this article is to draw attention to an area which is rarely discussed in relation to the theme of a border situation. Contrary to common opinions, contemporary comic books (especially graphic novels) are a kind of contemporary art in which important and difficult issues are discussed, and their authors search for such means of artistic expression (based on the symbiosis of word and image) in order to present those difficult issues in a remarkable and visually attractive way. On the example of the comic strip by Fabien Grolleau and Jérémie Royer, Audubon. On the Wings of the World, describing the life and work of J.-J. Audubon, a pioneer of American ornithology and an outstanding illustrator of nature, an attempt will be made to analyse aesthetics, form and content in the face of the problem of limits and relations between the human and the non-human.
Die Frage der Grenzerfahrung war und ist ein sehr wichtiges Thema in der antiken und zeitgenössischen Kunst. Die Themen Tod, Schuld, Verlust und Leid haben die Aufmerksamkeit von Künstlern aus verschiedenen Kunstdisziplinen, Ästhetiken und künstlerischen Ausdrucksformen auf sich gezogen: Literatur und Poesie, bildende Kunst, Film und Multimedia-Kunst. Ziel dieses Artikels ist es, die Aufmerksamkeit auf einen Bereich zu lenken, der im Zusammenhang mit dem Thema einer Grenzsituation selten diskutiert wird. Entgegen der landläufigen Meinung sind zeitgenössische Comics (insbesondere Graphic Novels) eine Art zeitgenössischer Kunst, in der wichtige und schwierige Themen behandelt werden und deren Autoren nach solchen künstlerischen Ausdrucksmitteln (aufgrund der Symbiose von Wort und Bild) suchen, um diese schwierigen Themen auf bemerkenswerte und visuell ansprechende Weise darzustellen. Am Beispiel des Comics von F. Grolleau, J. Royer, Audubon. On the Wings of the World, die das Leben und die Arbeit von J.-J. Audubon, einem Pionier der amerikanischen Ornithologie und herausragenden Naturdarsteller, thematisiert, werden ästhetische, formelle und inhaltliche Aspekte der Grenzsituationen und die Beziehungen zwischen dem Menschlichen und dem Nicht-Menschlichen analysiert.

Opis:: The entire paper is dedicated to the theoretical indicators of systemic change in the European Union, envisaged for the period from 2014–2019. The author decided to perform an academic identification and analysis of selected terms, mainly neo-idealistic terms, that are helpful when explaining the changes taking place in the EU’s systems. It was important for the author to design a conjunctive conceptual framework for the purpose of developing empirical anti-crisis strategies, forecasts and scenarios of systemic changes. This framework is particularly important in the context of a Kantian methodological architecture of pure reason. This is based on a process of rational cognisance from ordered concepts, forming a single, coherent analytical system. It should be noted that the process of identifying the indicators (concepts) related to systemic change in the European Union has to take place, while maintaining methodological attentiveness both in qualitative and quantitative terms. Therefore, the author makes another analytical assumption for this paper, on the basis of his conviction that change which occurs as transformation (regulation and reshaping) should primarily take place under the influence of theories, ideas, visions or concrete indicators, rather than the constantly changing and reactive political activities of the actors/entities participating in the European integration process.
Niniejszy artykuł w całości dotyczy teoretycznych wyznaczników zmian systemowych w Unii Europejskiej projektowanych na okres 2014–2019. Autor zdecydował się w nim na naukową identyfikację oraz analizę wybranych pojęć – głównie o charakterze neoidealistycznym – pomocnych w wyjaśnieniu zmian zachodzących w systemie Unii Europejskiej. Istotne dla autora stało się stworzenie koniunktywnego schematu pojęciowego służącego do przygotowania empirycznych antykryzysowych strategii, prognoz i scenariuszy zmian systemowych. Schemat ten jest szczególnie ważny w kontekście kantowskiej metodologicznej architektoniki czystego rozumu. Podstawą jest tu proces poznania rozumowego z uszeregowanych pojęć – układających się w jeden zwarty systemat analityczny. Warto zauważyć, że proces wyróżniania wyznaczników (pojęć) związanych ze zmianą systemową w Unii Europejskiej obywać się musi przy zachowaniu uważności metodologicznej – zarówno tej jakościowej, jak i ilościowej.Z uwagi na powyższe kolejne założenie analityczne dla tego tekstu opiera się na przekonaniu autora, że zmiana mająca charakter przekształcania (regulacji, jak i transformacji) powinna dokonywać się głównie pod wpływem teorii, idei i wizji czy też konkretnych wyznaczników, a nie wciąż zmiennych i reaktywnych działań politycznych aktorów/podmiotów uczestniczących w procesie integracji europejskiej.

Opis:: Intensywny ruch migracyjny w Europie skłonił UE do opracowania nowej, odpowiedniej polityki migracyjnej, która byłaby w stanie skutecznie rozwiązać problemy napotkane w tej dziedzinie. Regulacje prawne migracji UE mają skomplikowaną strukturę w prawie UE. Państwa członkowskie Unii Europejskiej powinny opracować wspólną politykę azylową, zharmonizować ustawodawstwo krajowe w tej dziedzinie, uzupełnić ramy prawne w dziedzinie nielegalnej migracji i monitorować wdrażanie już istniejących regulacji, stworzyć ramy prawne dla wymiany międzypaństwowych pracowników w UE, ponieważ jednolity rynek europejski obejmuje swobodny przepływ pracowników. Elementami nowoczesnej polityki imigracyjnej UE są: intensyfikacja walki z nielegalną migracją, wspieranie i zachęcanie do legalnej migracji, pozycjonowanie imigracji jako ważnego elementu stosunków UE z krajami pochodzenia i tranzytu imigrantów, integracja stałych imigrantów ze społeczeństwem przyjmującego państwa członkowskiego UE. Polityka migracyjna UE jest podstawą zapewnienia bezpieczeństwa europejskiego.
Intensive migration in Europe has led the EU to develop a new, adequate migration policy that would be able to effectively address the problems encountered in this area. The legal regulations of EU migration have a complicated structure in EU law. The Member States of the European Union should develop a common asylum policy, harmonize national legislation in this field, complete the legal framework in the field of illegal migration and monitor the implementation of existing regulations, create a legal framework for the exchange of EU workers in the EU, because the single European market includes the free movement of workers. Elements of the modern EU immigration policy are: intensification of the fight against illegal migration, support and encouragement of legal migration, positioning of immigration as an important element of EU relations with countries of origin and transit of immigrants, integration of permanent immigrants with the society of the host EU country. EU migration policy is the basis for ensuring European security.

Opis:: Artykuł przedstawia podstawowe założenia teorii sytuacji jako kategorii analizy bezpieczeństwa człowieka w ujęciu mikro strukturalnym. Jego intencją jest przezwyciężenie dominacji i nadużywania pojęcia „kryzys” w dotychczasowych rozważaniach o bezpieczeństwie, poszerzenie i pogłębienie przestrzeni analizy tej problematyki, jej rozhermetyzowanie i ukazanie nowych kierunków penetracji badawczych. Na podstawie ogólnych zagadnień teorii sytuacji (istoty pojęcia w naukach społecznych czy podstawowej klasyfikacji), przedstawiony został ciąg możliwych sytuacji życiowych człowieka w scenariuszu negatywnym – sytuacje nadzwyczajne i ekstremalne:trudne, kryzysowe, krytyczne i graniczne. Poza zdefiniowaniem, ukazane zostało ich usytuowanie pośród podstawowych zagadnień teorii bezpieczeństwa.
The article presents the rudiments of the situation theory as a category of human security analysis in the micro-structural sense. The intention of the paper is to overcome the domination, and overuse of the term “crisis” in the so-far considerations on security, as well as to broaden, and explore the scope of the analysis of the matter. The article also aims at deencapsulation, and pointing at new directions for the research. Based on the general issues within the theory of situation (the term’s meaning in social sciences or the basic classification), the paper introduces a sequence of potential, life-related human situations in the negative scenario – situation of extraordinary, extreme, critical, or border nature. Apart from defining such situations, their placement among the fundamental issues within the theory of security was also presented.
