Opis:: The aim of this paper is to present the method of reengineering of business processes that perform engineer-to-order production in a manufacturing company. The base of the method is a strategy of the company that applies Balanced Scorecard technique. The reengineering of critical business processes in the enterprise is assigned to the implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning system. The method facilitates the quantitative evaluation of business process improvements in the enterprise and the support for assigning the Total Cost of Ownership of the ERP system.

Opis:: Creation of network structures in contemporary organizations becomes the norm of the functioning. The creation of multidimensional structures in evolutionary relations, where it is difficult to determine now the organization's boundaries no longer makes business process integration is becoming one of the most important problems. In addition, the development of information technology has enabled to contribute and share information resources. The above phenomenon indicative of the pursuit of the integration of business processes and technologies used in the activity. Opis:: Niniejszy artykuł porusza tematy z zakresu analizy biznesowej, będącej podstawowym elementem funkcjonowania współczesnych organizacji. Celem tej publikacji jest przedstawienie i ocena czterech wybranych narzędzi do modelowania diagramów biznesowych w notacji BPMN. W ramach wprowadzenia do tematu scharakteryzowano procesy biznesowe, zdefiniowano ich analizę, a także przybliżono czytelnikowi notację BPMN i badane narzędzia. Zdefiniowano też metodykę badań i ich przebieg. Następnie przeprowadzone zostały badania zgodnie z przyjętą metodyką. Rezultatem tych prac były wyniki badań razem z analizą. Na koniec podsumowano przeprowadzone pomiary łącznie z wnioskami.
This article discusses topics in the field of business analysis, which is the basic element of the operation of modern organizations. The aim of this publication is to present and evaluate four selected tools for modeling business diagrams in BPMN notation. As part of the introduction to the topic, business processes were characterized, their analysis was defined, and the reader was introduced to the BPMN notation and the tested tools. The research methodology and its course were also defined. Then, the research was carried out in accordance with the adopted methodology. The conclusion of this work was the result of the research together with the analysis. Finally, the conducted experiments were summarized together with conclusions.

Opis:: Research background: Recent decades may undoubtedly be deemed as a period of exceptional transformation on a global scale. One element of this transformation is the reorganisation of traditional ways of business management (on all ontological levels). As a result, agile approach is increasingly often considered one of the key aspects of building the competitive advantage of a company. In this paper, agile approach is understood as the businesses' capability of responding promptly to market needs. Purpose of the article: The aim of this paper is to present the research results on the use of agile approach in chosen organizations. More specifically, the main purpose of this article is to describe how organizations are transformed with use of the agile approach. Methods: In accordance with the goal of the article, the organizations selected for empirical research are characterized by revenue increase levels of over 100% (such organizations undergo a dynamic transformation caused by growth), and employment ranging from 10 to 50 employees. The studied companies operate mainly in the IT industry and use technologies to organize the processes of identification and tracking of customer behaviour to a large extent. Several research methods were used in this paper: literature studies, expert interview, participant observation, and Spearman's rank correlation coefficient. Findings & Value added: The article describes the usage level of the agile (and linear) approach in the organizational transformation (through the dynamic growth of revenues), and presents the agile approach model, which can be used as an accelerator of the business' development. In addition, the authors undertook the first (limited and unrepresentative) attempt to evaluate the use of agile approach in the context of such indicators as: communication with customers, profit increase, and minimization of the risk related to introducing a new product on the market.
