Opis:: The chaotic mobile robot implies a mobile robot with a controller that ensures chaotic motions. Chaotic motion is characterized by the topological transitivity and the sensitive dependence on initial conditions. Due to the topological transitivity, the chaotic mobile robot is guaranteed to scan the whole connected workspace. The Chua's circuit, which is low cost and easy to construct for trajectory generators, exhibits a rich variety of bifurcation and chaotic behaviors. This particular circuit is analyzed. It is shown how to generate a sequence of chaotic behaviors by varying the value of a linear resistor of the Chua's circuit. According to the simulation, with best adjusting parameters, and mapping the appropriate chaotic variables to robot's kinematic variables, the chaotic behavior is enhanced in the sense of wide area coverage and evenness index.

Opis:: Vibrations of a single preloaded pendulum, with the impact phenomenon with a stop taken into account, are analysed in the paper. The model, under some simplification, represents a simple one-degree-of-freedom element of a vehicle latch system. The response of the system has been tested numerically for a wide range of parameters and with various excitation amplitudes and frequencies. Elastic and rigid impacts have been studied, and results for both impact models and for regular and chaotic motions have been compared. To find all possible solutions to the system, basins of attraction have been calculated as well. The final verification of the model response has been presented for the experimental signals recorded during vehicle side impact tests. It has been shown that the response of the latch element under study may lead to door opening, and that is why it has to be replaced with another design.
W niniejszej pracy przedstawiono drgania pojedyńczego wahadła fizycznego napiętego wstępnie sprężyną, z uwzględnieniem możliwości zjawiska uderzenia w ogranicznik ruchu. Rozważany układ reprezentuje prosty model jednego z elementów mechanizmu zamykania drzwi pojazdu samochodowego. Zbadano numerycznie odpowiedź układu dla sztywnego i lepko-sprężystego modelu uderzenia w szerokim zakresie wymuszeń harmonicznych. Porównano dla obu modeli uderzenia obszary występowania ruchu regularnego i chaotycznego. Przeprowadzono również analizę obszarów przyciągania rozwiązań, określając wszystkie możliwe rozwiązania systemu. Końcową weryfikację odpowiedzi układu przeprowadzono dla sygnału eksperymentalnego, zarejestrowanego podczas próby bocznego zderzenia pojazdów. Pokazano, ze odpowiedź mechanizmu może doprowadzić do otwarcia drzwi pojazdu i dlatego inne rozwiązanie techniczne powinno zostać użyte.

Opis:: Mobile robotics, after decades of continuous development, keeps up as an intensive research issue because of its ever- increasing application to different domains and its economical and technological relevance. Interesting applications can be seen in robots performing floor-cleaning tasks, executing industrial transportation, exploring volcanoes, scanning areas to find explosive devices, and so on. a chaotic signal for an autonomous mobile robot is to increase and to take advantage of coverage areas resulting from its travelling paths. The chaotic behavior of the mobile robot is achieved by adding nonlinear equations into the robot kinematic equations, like Arnold, Lorenz, and Chua’s equations, that are well known equations for had a chaotic behavior. The performance of the three guiding signals for robotics system is evaluated in the sense of the wide area coverage, the evenness index, and the total trajectory distance.

Opis:: The offshore structures, such as multi-articulated towers, manipulators working in waving fluid are more and more popular structures. Commonly they are modelled as an inverted pendulum. The motion of such tower immersed in waving fluid is under consideration. It is assumed that the tower is hinged to the seabed by the hinge with friction. The joint of tower elements is the hinge with friction, as well. Motion of tower loaded by regular wave fluid force is considered. The numerical experiment shows that the multi-potential systems may move chaotically for some parameters of the tower and the fluid.

Opis:: Vibration analysis of coupled self-excited nonlinear oscillators have been studied in the paper. Possible regular motion generated by nonlinear damping has been determined by extracting Nonlinear Normal Modes (NNM) from the model. Influence of the nonlinear terms and intensity of self-excitation on the system response and vibration modes have been presented. Parameters leading to chaotic motion have been found and Nonlinear Normal Modes, which may appear nearby the chaotic response have been presented as well. The considered two degree of freedom example shows that the autonomous system (without time dependent excitation) may transit to chaotic vibrations if the system posseses a potential function with ”potential wells”. However, NNMs separated for a very sensitive region close to chaotic vibrations, does not converge with motion of the original system in the third approximation order.
W pracy przedstawiono analizę drgań sprzęgniętych nieliniowych oscylatorów samowzbudnych. Ruch regularny układu, generowany przez nieliniowe tłumienie, określono poprzez zastosowanie nieliniowych postaci drgań. Zbadano wpływ członów nieliniowych i intensywność samowzbudzenia na odpowiedź układu oraz postacie drgań. Określono parametry układu prowadzące do ruchu chaotycznego oraz nieliniowe postacie drgań występujące w pobliżu tego obszaru. Stwierdzono, że układ autonomiczny (bez wymuszeń jawnie zależnych od czasu) o dwóch stopniach swobody, może przejść do ruchu chaotycznego jeśli posiada funkcję potencjału z tzw. ”dołkami”. Jednak, nieliniowe postacie drgań wyznaczone dla tego czułego regionu, w pobliżu chaosu, nie są zgodne z wynikami otrzymanymi z bezpośredniej symulacji numerycznej.
