Opis:
Does aesthetics of loss exist? What can we lose when we give vent to our poetic creative activity? These questions are posed by Apollinaire in the three verses of the Calligrammes collection, used to interpret the Alcools collection: "To lose/But to lose truly/ In order to make room for revelation." Accordingly, what does the experience of creative loss consist in? It is about emphasizing all this that can be lost in a poetic text in order to see that loss can become a creative process once it turns out to be impossible, and that poetic revelation can only take place in a situation when we lose something. Apollinaire was distrustful of all explicit poetic manifestos; therefore, the answers full of nuances should be sought in the dim light of Alcools and its interpretations.

Opis:
Current research into the adoption of Andrea Gabrieli’s and Giovanni Gabrieli’s oeuvres in former Upper-Hungarian music centres (situated mainly in the Spiš and Šariš regions of present-day Slovakia) is based on examinations of the music sources that have been preserved in two extensive music collections: the Levoča Music Collection and the Bardejov Music Collection. They demonstrate the importance of the late 16th- and early 17th-century anthologies, compiled by German editors, in the dissemination of Gabrielis’ compositions — and Italian music in general — into the Spiš-Šariš regions. Anthologies had become the main source of transcriptions and further spreading of both authors’ pieces. On the other hand, in its content they were a source of limitation for further choice options. Among the known local composers, the most significant interest in Gabrielis’ works had been recognized by the Bardejov organist Zachariáš Zarewutius in his transcription of 13 units. Further transcriptions of Gabrielis’ pieces have survived in the manuscripts of unknown origin. The time of their creation and the names of intavolators are also unclear or unknown. The study therefore contains also information on the current research proceedings in these questions and hypothetical thoughts on the genesis and possible sources of these transcriptions as well as the routes of their transferring and their connections to the musical life of the Spiš-Šariš centres. Special attention is dedicated to the local version of the contrafactum of Lieto godea sedendo madrigal by Giovanni Gabrieli.

Opis:
The maintenance of financial liquidity, stability, profitability and the value and investment capabilities of a company as well as the avoidance of financial bottlenecks are the most vital objectives of people in charge of ac ompany, especially in times of crisis. This paper presents the receivables/debts management system known as Debt Collection Prevention, which is understood as a method of achieving the above mentioned goals. With the help of analysis and differentiation, the author argues that all individual management activities are short of effectiveness and efficiency unless a systemic approach is applied. To highlight this point, the author has indicated substantial differences in the management of financial risk and in shaping managerial decisions with- and without the application of the Debt Collection Prevention system, which can be characterized as a systemic approach with regard to praxeology.

Opis:
Intensive plasma-wall interactions in fusion devices result in the impurity production and the formation of films of redeposited material, debris and dust. In present day devices, with short pulses, the mobile dust does not pose any serious operational problems, but it is a matter of serious concern for ITER and for later power producing devices with a high duty cycle. We report results of a dust collection experiment carried out at the T2R reversed field pinch device and related heavy impurity flux measurements. Dust and impurities were collected on passive Si surface probes and on ultralow density silica aerogel collectors. The advantage of the latter method is the possibility of nondestructive capture of the micron- and submicron-sized dust particles. The toroidal and radial deposition fluxes of dust particles and impurities are estimated and discussed in the light of the dominant forces acting on the dust.

Opis:
Purpose: Computed tomography (CT)-guided percutaneous drainage is an established method for the treatment of abdominal abscesses. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of drainage of abdominal abscesses with small-bore (6F and 9F) drains. Material and methods: The analysis of a prospectively maintained database included 135 consecutive patients from a single centre with abdominal or pelvic abscesses, who underwent CT-guided drainage. Procedures were performed using a one-step trocar technique with 6F (40 procedures) or 9F (95 procedures) catheters. Technical success was defined as insertion of the drain into the abscess cavity and aspiration of the fluid sample. Clinical success was defined as resolution of infection without surgical intervention or upsizing of the drain. Results: The mean size of abscesses was 77.0 ± 28.8 mm (32-220 mm). Thick fluid was aspirated from 129 collections; 6 collections contained thin fluid. Technical success was achieved in 100% of procedures. Clinical success was achieved in 94.8% of patients. Surgical drainage was necessary in 3.7% of patients and upsizing in 1.5% of patients. Complications of Clavien-Dindo grade III were noted in 2.2% of patients without grade IV or V adverse events. The mean radiation dose in terms of Dose Length Product was 617 ± 467 mGy x cm. The mean procedure time was 28.0 ± 11.3 min. Conclusions: CT-guided drainage of abdominal abscesses with small- and very small-bore drains is usually sufficient to obtain clinical success with a low complication rate in the case of thick fluid collections.
