Opis:: strzymanie globalnej zmiany klimatu to jedno z najważniejszych wyzwań jakie stoją przed ludzkością w XXI wieku. Wymagać to będzie znaczących zmian w gospodarce, konsumpcji, sposobie życia. Ale ochrona klimatu to również problem etyczny. To problem odpowiedzialności za wspólne dobro jakim jest klimat. W artykule omówiono wybrane problemy etyczne, jakie związane są z wdrażaniem polityki klimatycznej. Wskazano, że zaakceptowanie wyników badań naukowych wskazujących na odpowiedzialność człowieka za zmiany klimatu jest warunkiem koniecznym dla prowadzenia aktywnych działań na rzecz ochrony klimatu. Stwierdzono także, że wspólna, lecz zróżnicowana, odpowiedzialność poszczególnych krajów wynika przede wszystkim z ich historycznej emisji gazów cieplarnianych. Wynika ona także stąd, że większość znaczących, negatywnych skutków zmiany klimatu wystąpi w krajach najbiedniejszych, których udział w emisji gazów cieplarnianych jest bardzo mały. Odrzucanie odpowiedzialności człowieka za zmiany klimatu oraz odpowiedzialności bogatych społeczeństw za już występujące zmiany i ich skutki w krajach rozwijających powoduje, że działania na rzecz ochrony klimatu nie są prowadzone w wystarczającym zakresie. Za Ojcem Św. Franciszkiem powtórzono, że bez zmiany postaw etycznych wobec środowiska przyrodniczego i przyjęcia odpowiedzialności za cały otaczający nas świat skuteczna ochrona klimatu nie będzie możliwa.
Mitigation of the global climate change is one of the most important challenges facing humanity in the 21st century. It will require significant changes in the economy, consumption, the style of life. However, the climate protection is also an ethical problem. It is a problem of responsibility for the climate – the common good of all creatures. This article discusses selected ethical issues that are related to the implementation of climate policy. It was indicated that the acceptance of research results indicating human responsibility for climate change is a prerequisite for active climate action. It has also been found that the common but differentiated responsibility of individual countries is primarily due to their historical greenhouse gas emissions. It also results from the fact that most of the significant negative impacts of climate change will occur in the poorest countries, whose share of greenhouse gas emissions is very small. The rejection of human responsibility for climate change and the responsibility of rich societies for already occurring changes and their effects in developing countries means that climate mitigation actions are not being sufficiently addressed. Behind the Pope Francis repeated that without changing ethical attitudes towards the natural environment and accepting responsibility for the whole world around us, effective climate protection would not be possible.

Opis:: In our contemporary literature and academic discourse we often see how popular the topic of corporate social responsibility is. In my opinion another problem – tightly linked to this – and strongly influencing our business life is consumer’s activity. This second part of business relations is often associated rather with legal demands and customer’s protection. The purpose of my article is to show how consumer social responsibility can help not only corporations, but all those involved in the market exchange to contribute to the common good and improve quality of millions of transactions people make every day. To become real, this responsibility needs effort – courage to witness by expressing consumer’s opinion and education. The first aspect shows how important action is in revealing values and introducing ethics into everyday market activity, the second shows that emphasizing basic economical education and expecting thorough information from companies can help build and enhance consumer awareness. In my paper I am also trying to show the contribution of Catholic Social Thought to the problem of social responsibility.

Opis:: The main purpose of the paper is to describe, diagnose and interpret mutual rela-tions between the idea of economic freedom and the sense of responsibility for the common good in modern societies functioning in the system of a free market economy. The starting point for the analysis is a reference to predominating scientific discourses and their appearance in the public sphere. These discourses also take up the problem of mutual relations between freedom and responsibility, including responsibility for the common good. One specific case of the relation between units and the widely understood common good, including units engaged in economic activity, is their relation to more operational public goods. Therefore, starting from conclusions based on a probing research concerning Polish society’s attitude towards public goods (which is an index of public morality), we will try to prove that an oversimpli-fied and highly ideological understanding of economic freedom can lead to a) perception of market activities’ results in strictly economic categories, b) atrophy of priority values for each society such as the sense of responsi-bility and common good. Therefore the main thesis of the paper can be seen as the following state-ment: for each economic organization to perform correctly, it must be socially embedded in a defined axio-normative order. Economic order is a part of social order while freedom, as the leading objective idea, cannot be treated either in purely scientific or ideological categories.

Opis:: The aim of this article is to show that Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) can be applied in agriculture as a sustainable development tool. This paper shows the connections between CSR and the Common Agricultural Policy; opinions on socially responsible agriculture expressed by EU citizens are mentioned, and the application of the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility in agriculture is described. Both CSR and the Common Agricultural Policy are included in the Europe 2020 Strategy. Farmers should take the CSR concept into account when running their farms, a practice that would be welcomed by European citizens. Applying Corporate Social Responsibility in agriculture would contribute to improving the image of farmers as perceived by stakeholders, as well as bringing notable economic, social and environmental benefits. This article is based on the available literature and the results of European public opinion surveys.

Odpowiedzialność jest często definiowana jako relacja działającego podmiotu do swych własnych, wolnych i świadomych czynów, polegająca na tym, że ponosi on związane z tymi czynami konsekwencje. Zgodnie z treścią odpowiedzialności. Wyróżnia się odpowiedzialność cywilną, związaną z obowiązkiem naprawienia komuś krzywdy, odpowiedzialność karną, która obejmuje działania przestępcze, odpowiedzialność moralną podmiotu za dobro i zło urzeczywistnione przezeń w działaniu. Ksiądz Mirek podkreślał, że tylko obywatel z poczuciem odpowiedzialności za dobro wspólne może przyczyniać się do dobra ojczyzny i społeczeństwa.
The article concerns the concept of responsibility by Franciszek Mirek in relation to social life and the creation of community. The first part is about priest Franciszek Mirek himself, who is an exceptional figure in Polish sociology – although unfortunately, he has been forgotten. Responsibility is often defined as the relation of an acting subject to its own free and the deliberate acts which are associated with bearing adequate consequences. In accordance with the content of responsibility the following stand out: civil liability, which is associated with the obligation to repair any attempt to bring another to harm, criminal responsibility, which includes – criminal activities, and moral responsibility of the entity for good and evil embodied by him in action. Franciszek Mirek emphasized that only a citizen who truly knows – responsibility for the common good may contribute to the good of the country and society.

The paper entitled “The Responsibility of Commercial Healthcare Entities for the Common Good” raises the issue of the goals and operative principles of healthcare entities. These are enterprises that run their activities in the context of building the common good. The specific nature of commercial healthcare entities’ activities, on the one hand, invokes the ethos held by the medical professions, and, on the other, the need to ensure financial liquidity. The paper refers to the issues of the meaning and content of the common good, the organizational and legal framework of commercial healthcare entities, as well as the nature and scope of their responsibility for the common good.

The application of a series of more or less rigorous accountability mechanisms developed to assess and improve the functioning of the judiciary from a managerial point of view has created tensions in the conflict of values of independence in relation to performance. The aim of the article was to analyze the conceptual foundations of legal accountability and managerial accountability and to identify significant discrepancies in both approaches. The scope of the article also included considerations regarding the idea of accounting for responsibility from a theoretical and practical point of view based on examples of courts in Spain, Finland and Italy.

Opis:: Článek se zabývá hovorovými spisovnými projevy v médiích teoreticky. Uvádí příklady hovorových spisovných prostředků na jednotlivých rovinách jazykového systému. Obecně se popisuje produkce hovorových spisovných textů, kdy se protíná přirozenost a odpovědnost mluvčího. The article deals theoretically with colloquial standard discourses in media. It adduces examples of colloquial standard means on the individual levels of the language system. The production of colloquial standard texts, in which naturalness together with responsibility of the speaker play an important role, is generally described. This production is characterised in a complicated situation of spoken media. „Good speech models”, necessary after restoration of social elites after 1989, are important in media for the broad strata of population and should become a subject of linguistic research more often.
