Opis:: This article presents a method for determining the impulse response of a radio-communication channel using a signal modulated with a pseudorandom signal. It includes examples of impulse responses determined for real propagation conditions in the ISM band (Industrial Scientific Medical).
W artykule przedstawiono metodę określania odpowiedzi impulsowej kanału radiokomunikacyjnego za pomocą sygnału zmodulowanego ciągiem pseudoprzypadkowym. Zaprezentowano przykłady odpowiedzi impulsowych wyznaczonych dla rzeczywistych warunków propagacyjnych w paśmie ISM (Industrial Scientific Medical).

Opis:: The problems of embedding of message codes into Acoustic environment of speech are researched. The peculiarities of speech perception by human hearing are analyzed. As an example of acoustic Messager environment and codes of hidden messages embedded into it is reviewed a channel of mobile Communications in the part of transformations which are implemented with acoustic signals. Approach to build a model of process of transmission of speech via non-linear channel basing on imagination about speech signals spectrum is developed. The proposals on methods of use of such models for analysis and interpretation of distortions of signals made by transformations, implemented in example channel are presented.

Opis:: The article presents the impact of remote work, resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, on the functioning of Scrum teams. Attempts have been made to analyse the positive and negative aspects of remote work. The article also looks at the impact of remote work on the level of communication and efficiency of Scrum teams. For this purpose, the author conducted research on a sample of 40 organisations that declared to use Scrum methodology, using 187 questionnaires as the research material. The study was carried out at the turn of April and May 2021 and was carried out using the CAWI technique. The obtained results were analysed using the Principal Component Analysis and Cluster Analysis methods, and enable defining a picture of an organisation's readiness to work remotely. In addition, they also allowed for an assessment of how the infrastructure used for remote work communication translates into the organisation of Sprint meetings. This paper presents conclusions aimed at counteracting the observed irregularities detected during the tests. At the end, the author proposes solutions that could improve communication within Scrum teams, with remote work in mind.

Opis:: There is no denying that new styles of communication have already made great advances in both academic and workplace environments. As Chester (2002) believes, there are now different communication needs whose hierarchy has also changed. The efficiency, frequency and quality of communication are determined by many important variables – people’s (multiple) identities and age, or one’s first language being cases in point. These new styles of communication may be considered surprising, linguistically inaccurate, or even rude. Many of them do also not comply to ones that would be created by native speakers, as the people who use them more often than not produce quite awkward structures – on the one hand this is an example of pure corporate jargon and ESP (in the workplace context), on the other a unique discourse heavily manifesting its own identity, first language and norms of politeness present in a particular community (Paltridge 2012). Thus the discourse produced (already creating a new style of communication) violates pragmatic norms obvious to native speakers, as well as being highly surprising (if not even confusing) to other non-native speakers. The proposed article aims to demonstrate the results of the analysis of corporate emails produced by various non-native advanced speakers of English. The analysis mainly focuses on corpus utterances demonstrating a lack of pragmatic competence, as well as the existence of “multiple identities” of their authors.

Opis:: In the rapidly evolving landscape of smart cities, the integration of advanced technologies is crucial for ensuring safety, optimizing traffic flow, and enhancing the urban living experience. Vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication and visible light communication (VLC) have emerged as promising solutions to address these challenges. This paper explores the integration of V2V communication and VLC at smart pedestrian crosswalks to enhance pedestrian safety and traffic management in smart cities. It explores the impact of neighbouring vehicles on V2V-VLC performance and proposes novel methodologies to assess traffic density effects. Results indicate a significant chance of encountering nearby cars during rush hours, emphasizing the importance of these integrated systems for safety and mobility in urban environments. The outcomes show that the chance of running into extra cars in nearby lanes is independent of the particular lane and increases to 80% through rush hours, but falls to a lower amount than 20% through off-peak and initial morning hours.

Opis:: W artykule w syntetyczny sposób przedstawiono kanały komunikacyjne, które są źródłem informacji o zagrożeniach i obostrzeniach związanych z pandemią COVID-19. Autor dokonał deskrypcji poszczególnych kanałów komunikacyjnych i wskazał rolę jaką pełnią w informowaniu społeczeństwa o aktualnych postępach w walce z pandemią. Kanałów komunikacyjnych jest bardzo dużo, ale nie każdy z nich trafia do konkretnego odbiorcy z konkretną informacją. Szczegółowa analiza poszczególnych kanałów informacyjnych jest pierwszym etapem do poznania spiritus movens na temat wirusa SARS-CoV-2. Podjęta tematyka niewątpliwie przyczyni się do dalszych badań1 nad źródłami kanałów komunikacji w związku z pandemią oraz posłuży do zwiększenia bezpieczeństwa2 obywateli poprzez dostęp do źródeł informacji o zagrożeniach i obostrzeniach.
The article presents in a synthetic way communication channels which are the source of information about threats and restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Author wrote a description of individual communication channels and indicated their role in informing the public about current progress in fight with the pandemic. There are many communication channels, but not all of them reach a specific recipient with specific information. The first step to know spiritus movens about the SARS-CoV-2 virus is a detailed analysis of individual news channels. Discussed topic will undoubtedly contribute to further research on the sources of communication channels in connection with the pandemic and will serve to increase the security of citizens through access to sources of information about threats and restrictions.

Opis:: W artykule opisano metodę wyznaczania odpowiedzi kanału radiokomunikacyjnego na wymuszenie jakim był sygnał wysokiej częstotliwości zmodulowany ciągiem pseudoprzypadkowym. Odpowiedź impulsowa określana była poprzez wyznaczanie korelacji wzajemnej pomiędzy sygnałem odebranym a sygnałem nadawanym. Ponadto przedstawiono wyniki badań eksperymentalnych w rzeczywistym środowisku propagacyjnym.
The paper describes the method of the determination of a radio communication channel response when a high-frequency signal modulated with psuedorandom sequence is used as the input of channels. The impulse response was calculated by means of a cross-correlation between received and sent signals. Results of experiments in a real-world environment are inserted.

Opis:: The main point of view demonstrated in the present paper is to express criticism to those program of foreign language studies which still rely on the traditional approach to language education and favor the development of linguistic competence in students. Harmonious functioning of the contemporary world depends, to much extent, on human coexistence and communication both on the micro and macro scale. In the case of the macro scale contacts, the English language has been sanctioned an international means of communication. The examination of the Internet resources with reference to higher education language programs of studies as well as programs oered by some language schools, shows that the teaching/learning process is mainly concentrated on developing students' linguistic competence. The Polish reality of practical English application in a variety of situations shows that the language user's knowledge, when limited to the linguistic sphere only, is not sucient. Therefore, the aim of the present paper is to turn the reader's attention to the need of verication of educational policy, adopted by many higher education institutions, and expand the oered programs of studies by courses directing the teaching/learning process at the functional approach. Hence, the suggested in the present discussion approach would rely on giving priority to the development of communicative competence, instead of linguistic.

The research method was a qualitative analysis, an in-depth interview and a quantitative analysis in the form of a questionnaire, which aimed to find out about the opinions of employees and methods of communication between individual departments of MOPS. On the example of MOPS, individual communication channels of employees were characterized, as well as their influence on shaping the organizational culture. The author has made an analysis of the library of scientific literature in the field of communication. The work involved using MOPS materials.
W pracy przedstawiono problematykę komunikacji wewnętrznej, kanału komunikacji wewnętrznej i kultury organizacyjnej w Miejskim Ośrodku Pomocy Społecznej W Krakowie.Problemem badawczym było pytanie która forma komunikacji werbalnej pozioma bądź pionowa stosowana przez pracowników tego ośrodka jest najskuteczniejsza w kształtowaniu kultury organizacyjnej tego urzędu. Jako metodę badawczą przyjęto analizę jakościową, wywiad pogłębiony oraz analizę ilościową w formie ankiety, które miały na celu poznanie opinii pracowników i sposobów komunikacji między poszczególnymi działami MOPS-u.Na przykładzie MOPS scharakteryzowano poszczególne formy komunikacji wewnętrznej pracowników jak ich wpływ na kształtowanie kultury organizacyjnej. Autor dokonał analizy bibliotecznej literatury naukowej z zakresu komunikacji. W pracy wykorzystano materiały MOPS.
