Opis:
The paper introduces the positional cooperative and non-cooperative game of a greater number of met ships for the description of the process considered as well as for the synthesis of optimal control strategies of the own ship in collision situation. The approximated mathematical model of differential game in the form of triple linear programming problem is used for the synthesis of safe ship trajectory as a multistage process decision. The considerations have been illustrated an example of program computer simulation to determine the safe ship trajectories in situation of passing a many of the ships encountered.

Opis:
In this paper, we analyze some values and power indices from a different point of view that are well-defined in the social context where the goods are public. In particular, we consider the Public Good index (Holler, 1982), the Public Good value (Holler and Li, 1995), the Public Help index (Bertini et al., 2008), the König and Bräuninger index (1998) also called the Zipke index (Nevison et al., 1978), and the Rae index (1969). The aims of this paper are: to propose an extension of the Public Help index to cooperative games; to introduce a new power index with its extension to a game value; and to provide some characterizations of the new index and values.

In sequencing situations, it may affect parameters used to determine an optimal order in the queue, and consequently the decision of whether (or not) to rearrange the queue by sharing the realized cost savings. In this paper, we extend one machine sequencing situations and their related cooperative games under fuzzy uncertainty. Here, the agents costs per unit of time and processing time in the system are fuzzy intervals. In the sequel, we define sequencing fuzzy interval games and show that these games are convex. Further, fuzzy equal gain splitting rule is given. Finally, a numerical example is illustrated priority based scheduling algorithm.

Opis:
This paper researches differential cooperative games with a coalition structure. To show the payoffs of players, the Owen value for traditional case is extended to the new cooperative model, and its existence and uniqueness are discussed. Furthermore, the relationship between the core and the Owen value is shown. In addition, the sub-game consistency of the Owen value is analyzed that maintains the efficiency of the payoff throughout the game. With the defined characteristic function, it is proved that the Owen value is sub-game consistent. Finally, theoretical results of this paper are applied to solve the problem of cost allocation of environmental governance.

Opis:
We study the efficient computation of power indices for weighted voting games using the paradigm of dynamic programming. We survey the state-of-the-art algorithms for computing the Banzhaf and Shapley–Shubik indices and point out how these approaches carry over to related power indices. Within a unified framework, we present new efficient algorithms for the Public Good index and a recently proposed power index based on minimal winning coalitions of the smallest size, as well as a very first method for computing the Johnston indices for weighted voting games efficiently. We introduce a software package providing fast C++ implementations of all the power indices mentioned in this article, discuss computing times, as well as storage requirements.

In this paper we present a methodological framework for purposes of dynamic cooperative games with locality modelling. Our framework appeals to the recently proposed by Painvaveine and van Bever concept of local depth. We propose a simple dynamic games with two agents and study its properties by means of computer simulations. The paper is a starting point for our research program aiming at creating a statistical apparatus for the cooperative dynamic games with local maximization of individual and group goals.

Opis:
This paper is devoted to the concept of indirect control in corporate shareholding networks. This topic is important in financial economics. Since shareholding size does not actually reflect an investor’s power-control in corporate shareholding networks, diverse approaches to measuring the control-power of investors has been proposed. We focus in particular on a game-theoretical approach; specifically the model of Denti and Prati (2001) and its implementation to control sharing analysis and simulation in shareholding networks thanks to the computer program „Control Sharing Simulation”.

Opis:
A method of solving a non-cooperative game defined on a product of staircase-function strategy spaces is presented. The spaces can be finite and continuous as well. The method is based on stacking equilibria of “short” non-cooperative games, each defined on an interval where the pure strategy value is constant. In the case of finite non-cooperative games, which factually are multidimensional-matrix games, the equilibria are considered in general terms, so they can be in mixed strategies as well. The stack is any combination (succession) of the respective equilibria of the “short” multidimensional-matrix games. Apart from the stack, there are no other equilibria in this “long” (staircase-function) multidimensional-matrix game. An example of staircase-function quadmatrix game is presented to show how the stacking is fulfilled for a case of when every “short” quadmatrix game has a single pure-strategy equilibrium. The presented method, further “breaking” the initial staircase-function game into a succession of “short” games, is far more tractable than a straightforward approach to solving directly the “long” non-cooperative game would be.

In the paper a cooperative game in partition function is proposed for the cost allocation problem. The game describes real situations in which payoff of any coalition does not only depend on the players in the coalition but also on the coalition structure of other players. Solution concepts are analyzed. It is shown that the core of the game in partition function form is equal to the core of an appropriately formulated game in characteristic function form. On the base of the theoretical results, the core, the stable sets and several nucleoli concepts can be derived and utilized for decision support.
