Opis:: The article discusses the problem of selecting estimation methods for cost and implementation time for ERP systems, in case when system modifications are necessary. The authors reviewed the methods available in the literature and characterised the stages of strategic phase in the implementation process. On the basis of the analysis of data range and quality required by each method and the data obtained at different stages, a selection algorithm for each stage was proposed.

Opis:: The aim of this paper is to present, in theoretical and application terms, artificial neural networks (ANNs) as a method of estimating the product cost. The first part of the article reviews the methods used to estimate the product cost. The basic approaches to the problem of product cost estimation, presented by various authors, were described. In the second part an empirical study using artificial neural networks was conducted. Two research methods were used in this paper: literature analysis and empirical research carried out in the form of an extensive case study. The test object is a new generation induction motor. The main research problem of the article is the modelling of artificial neural networks for the estimation process of product costs with advanced production technology. The test procedures focus on the application aspects. The conclusions discuss the usefulness and advantages of using ANN models in estimating the costs of products

Opis:: On the stage of product design there is a problem concerning production cost estimation in the moment when elements are not yet definitely designed. Depending on the amount of the available information, more or less precise cost estimation methods are applied, i.e.: variant methods, generation methods, hybrid methods. The proposed method of cost estimation is based on a formalized description of information related to construction, manufacturing and organizational characteristics concerning the designed element, the automation method of technological processes design using methods of group technology and a model of determining production costs of machine elements based on Activity Based Costing.

Opis:: The aim of the study was to determine the heavy metal content of soils after sewage sludge application and to calculate the costs associated with fertilising the soil with sewage sludge, which have not been analysed in the available literature so far. The soil for the pot experiments came from villages where the soil was contaminated with heavy metals. Sewage sludge was proposed as a material for the reclamation of land degraded by the mining industry in the aforementioned settlements, and its effect on improving the physical and chemical properties of the soil after application was demonstrated. The cost of applying three doses of municipal sludge to restore areas damaged (degraded) by human activity was estimated. The calculation was carried out on the basis of KNR (National Contractors Estimator) No. 2–21 Tereny Zieleni (Green Areas) and the current prices from Sekocendbud Bulletin 5/2023 (2145), 1st quarter 2023. The cost of fertilising with stabilised sewage sludge for category II land is relatively low. The cost difference between the lowest sludge application of 50 Mg•ha-1 and the highest of 200 Mg•ha-1 is 85%. Therefore, it is cost-effective to apply the highest possible sludge dose per unit area. The study used sewage sludge that was suitable for natural purposes, including agricultural use, and that met the requirements [Journal of Laws 2015, item 257]. In Karniowice, no contamination of the soil with copper, cadmium, zinc and lead was found, although the content of these metals clearly increased after sludge application at the aforementioned sludge doses. The application of sludge, even in multiple doses, had no influence on exceeding the permissible concentration for these metals according to the Regulation of the Minister of the Environment of 2015, which allowed the area to be classified as uncontaminated after sludge application. In Lgota, soil contamination standards were exceeded for cadmium, lead and zinc after sludge application. In the case of copper after sludge application, the results were in line with the regulation.

Opis:: The aim of a sample survey is to obtain high quality estimates of population parameters with low cost. The expected precision of estimates and the expected data collection cost are usually unknown making the choice of sampling design a complicated task. Analytical methods can not be used often because of the complexity of the sampling design or data collection process. The aim of this paper is to develop a mathematical framework to compare chosen sampling designs with respect to the expected precision of estimates and the data collection cost. As a result a framework is developed which employs artificial population data generation, survey sampling techniques, survey cost modelling, Monte Carlo simulation experiments and other techniques. The framework is applied to analyse the cost efficiency of the sampling design currently used for the Latvian Labour Force Survey.

Opis:: Estimating the value of public construction works in Poland and the Czech Republic. The article outlines the legislation concerning the methodology of estimating the value of works in Poland and the Czech Republic. In both countries it is necessary for the public investor to respect the law governing public procurement, which defines the structure of compulsory documents needed for the tender documentation, but not directly the way of their preparation. In both countries, though, there exist model proceeding schedules for the calculation of the value of a public procurement for construction works. To illustrate and compare the calculation methods a sample calculation of the procurement value is presented for a selected thermal efficiency improvement project.
Wycena zamówień publicznych na roboty budowlane w Polsce i Republice Czeskiej. Roboty budowlane są realizowane w dwóch podstawowych systemach. Pierwszy to system tradycyjny, gdzie zamawiający rozdziela projektowanie od wykonania (tzw. system Design-Bid-Build). Drugi system to Zaprojektuj i Buduj (Design & Build), gdzie wykonawca zarówno projektuje, jak i zgodnie z własnym projektem realizuje roboty budowlane. W obydwu przypadkach zamawiający publiczny jest zobligowany do wyznaczenia wartości zamówienia zgodnie z obowiązującymi przepisami prawnymi. W artykule przedstawiono porównanie przepisów prawnych dotyczących metodologii szacowania wartości zamówienia na roboty budowlane w Polsce i Czechach. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na metody stosowane w przypadku zamówień realizowanych w systemie tradycyjnym. Zaprezentowany przykład obliczeniowy pozwala na określenie podobieństw i różnic w sposobach kalkulacji w obydwu krajach.

Opis:: W artykule przedstawiono jedną z metod szacowania kosztów projektowanego elementu, tzw. wariantowe podejście do szacowania kosztów. Proponowana metoda szacowania kosztów opiera się na sformalizowanym opisie informacji o cechach konstrukcyjnych, wytwarzania i organizacyjnych dotyczących projektowanego elementu, oraz modelu określania kosztów produkcji elementów maszyn na podstawie metody rachunku kosztów działań. Zaproponowane rozwiązania dostosowano do systemów produkcyjnych, funkcjonujących w warunkach produkcji jednostkowej i małoseryjnej.
This paper presents one of the methods cost estimation of a designed element called variant cost estimation. The proposed method of cost estimation is based on a formalised description of information about constructional, manufacturing and organisational features related to the designed element and a model of production costs of machine elements based on Activity Based Costing. The proposed solutions were adapted to production systems operating in conditions of unit and small series production.
