Opis:
The unsteady creep curve of rocks is antisymmetric to the dynamic surface subsidence curve of coal mining. Accordingly, a four-parameter unsteady creep model of rock was established using an analogous reasoning method from the perspective of phenomenology, and a simple method for determining the model parameters was proposed. The test curves of four different types of rocks were in good agreement with the theoretical curves of the model. In particular, the accelerated creep test curves with nonlinear characteristics were consistent with the theoretical curves of the model, verifying the rationality and accuracy of the model.

Opis:
In order to analyze the influential factors of soft foundation settlement in a marine reclamation land project, the consolidation settlement and pore pressure dissipation of the entire area are numerically simulated using Soft-SoilCreep Model, in which the PLAXIS finite element software for professional geotechnical engineering is applied and empirical data of Japanese Kansai’s airport project are used. Moreover, the figures of settlement and pore pressure results in the different basic period are drawn, and the corresponding analysis conclusions are obtained based on the comparison among the results from the computational parameters of depth. In addition,, the influence rules of various parameters on settlement results is concluded through running the parameter sensitivity analysis in Soft-Soil-Creep Model, and the experience and conclusions can be for reference in the design and con-struction of similar large-scale marine reclamation land project. Also the empirical value method of the creep index has not been applied widely. Further research needs to be done.

Opis:
FeMnSiCrNi alloys represent a promising class of FeMnSi-based shape memory alloys (SMAs) characterized by excellent characteristics of formability and corrosion resistance. The present paper is focused on a 68Fe-18Mn-3Si-7Cr-4Ni (mass. %) SMA, produced by powder metallurgy routine, which was tested to creep, using a dual cantilever specimen holder, and analyzed by means of the dedicated software of a dynamic mechanical analyzer. The specimens were tested at five temperatures by applying, at each of them, four bending force values, during 2000 s. The variation of bending creep deflection with time, temperature and force was discussed both from the point of instant value and 1000 s-value. These results enabled plotting a space diagram of stabilized creep rate variation with both applied force and test temperature. In such context, a theoretical model in a multifractal paradigm of motion was built, considering that FeMnSiCrNi shape memory alloy can be assimilated, both structurally and functionally, with a multifractal object. Finally, this model was validated by means of experimental data.

This paper presents the results of a numerical simulation of a slope deformation process. The landslide slope “Grabina” inKoronowo near Bydgoszcz (Poland) serves as an example.Aslope profile located in the central part of the slope, between the main scarp and the toe of the landslide, was selected. The average dip of the slope is about 10, and its length is approximately 55 m. Elasticity, plasticity and viscosity properties were taken into account in the model of the soil mass that composes the slope. The visco-elastic properties are described by the Burgers model (Mainardi and Spada 2011), and the plastic ones by the Coulomb-Mohr law.Anumerical simulation was carried out by the computer code FLAC2D in the plane strain state with the assumption of the Lagrange routine. The model was discretized taking into account the results of inclinometric measurements, which proved that the slide movement was concentrated in a narrow loam zone of 0.5–1.0 m thickness. No tests of the viscosity parameters were performed, so they were determined by the back analysis and a trial and error method. The calculation results were verified by comparison with the displacement measured by the inclinometric method in three boreholes. The analysis performed demonstrated the possibility of approximating and forecasting landslide displacements by the combined Burgers and Coulomb-Mohr models.

Opis:
In this study, a plate structure containing elliptical embedded cracks loaded under high temperature is studied. The constraint effect and creep crack initiation of the plate con- taining embedded cracks are discussed by using the finite element method based on the creep ductility exhaustion model. It is indicated that the highest constraint level or the load-independent parameter Q* is observed at the endpoint of the ellipse major axis of an elliptical embedded crack, and the constraint levels increase with crack length or depth, which represents a worse condition for the structure, such as higher stress concentration and greater danger of failure for a larger crack depth ratio a/t or crack length ratio a/c. Moreover, under the creep condition, the embedded crack with a larger a/t, a/c or loadings is accompanied with a higher crack driving force, which can accelerate creep damage, creep cracking initiation (CCI) and shorten the creep crack initiation (CCI) time. Additionally, an empirical prediction equation and engineering approach to the constraint parameter and the CCI time for elliptical embedded cracks are proposed, and the engineering approach to the CCI time is validated.

Opis:
To study creep characteristics of deep rock masses under low-frequency earthquakes and other loads, sandstone and marble samples were used to characterize soft rock and hard rock, respectively. Shear creep tests of anchored rock masses under fatigue loading were carried out by using the graded loading method. A new nonlinear rheological model was constructed to characterize mechanical properties of anchored rock masses under fatigue loading. Creep fatigue curves of soft rock and hard rock have clear creep characteristics including instantaneous, attenuation, steady-state and accelerated creep stages. This work provides new insights into the stability of rock masses.

Opis:
Purpose: In wound ballistics, skin has obvious blocking effect in the biological target penetration of projectiles. An analytical description of skin mechanical properties under compression can set the basis for the numerical simulation and the evaluation of blocking effect. Methods: In this study, an improved three-parameter solid visco-elastic model was proposed to describe the skin creep phenomenon. And then combined with Maxwell and Ogden model, a new nonlinear skin constitutive model, consisting of hyper-elastic unit, creep unit and relaxation unit in parallel, was established. Here, we examine the material properties of freshly harvested porcine skin in compression at strain rates from 0.01/s to 4000/s. Results: The model is verified by comparison with the experimental results by our test and that in the literature at different strain rates. Conclusions: It shows that calculated results of the constitutive model agree well with the experiment data at extremely low to high strain rates, which is useful for the description of the heterogeneous, nonlinear viscoelastic, relaxation and creep mechanical response of skin under compression.

Podczas zbioru, transportu i przechowywania materiał pochodzenia roślinnego podlega zarówno obciążeniom statycznym, jak i dynamicznym. Wiąże się to z możliwością powstania uszkodzeń mechanicznych, stanowiących niepożądany efekt w przypadku owoców przeznaczonych do bezpośredniej konsumpcji. Na podstawie testów reologicznych można uzyskać rodziny krzywych zależności naprężeń i przemieszczeń w funkcji czasu. Dotychczas brak jest kompleksowego opracowania o charakterze porównawczym, rozpatrywane są jedynie standardowe modele obiektu badań. Z przeprowadzonych badań wynika, że skrócenie czasu realizacji testów reologicznych skutkuje zmianą obliczonych wartości parametrów modeli standardowych. Do wnioskowania o zmianach wartości współczynników E oraz η bardziej przydatne są modele empiryczne.
During cropping, transport and storing, plant material is subjected to both static and dynamic loads. It is related to possibility of mechanical damages, which constitute undesired effect in case of fruit for direct consumption. On the basis of rheological tests, families of stress and dislocation curves as the time function may be obtained. There has been no complex comparative study so far. Standard models of the research object are only discussed. It results from the research, which was carried out, that shortening the time of performance of rheological tests results in the change of the calculated values of standard models parameters. Empirical models are more useful for conclusions related to changes of E and η coefficient values.
