Demographics as a political topic has been increasingly more often exploited as a key theme in official narratives and practical policies. The similarities in the demographic dynamics in both countries, as well as conditional failures of demographic policies, may not necessarily result from evident mistakes, but are probably a result of a complex set of social factors, including the regularities of demographic development in the past. It is quite clear, however, that the Polish political narratives and declared set of state objectives concentrate rather on the social sphere, whereas the Russian rhetoric and policy are clearly more state oriented.

Opis:: The purpose of this article is to present demographic situation of Opole Voivodeship, forecasts and demographic scenario and their impact on the financial, economic investment, innovative project of the university. The presented research shows that in Opole Voivodeship there will be a negative demographic scenario, which will contribute to a reduction in demand for education services, higher education and it will directly affect the situation of educational institutions at various levels and universities. Unfortunately present and future demographic situation of population in Opole Voivodeship presented in the forecast and the demographic scenario can be a significant factor in the negative assessment of long-term investment projects, including innovative educational institutions and universities.

Opis:: Maintenance of the optimum quantity of population in mountainous regions of the world and management of migration processes are among urgent matters. The problem is so difficult that it requires a complex study and foresees regional originalities. Therefore, the main objective of the research is to study the aims and factors involving potential migrants in possible migration processes, based on the example of Georgia, in particular on the example of the mountainous region of Adjaria. The research was mainly based on sociological questioning and an in-depth interview method, by which a comparison of surveys conducted in the Soviet period and in independent Georgia as well as a comparison of quantitative and qualitative properties of migration processes were performed. As a result of the research, it was concluded that main reasons causing potential migration processes in the modern period are not social, but economic and ecological factors. Besides, in different social groups, geographical originalities of trends of expected migration processes were found. Therefore, events managing the expected migration processes are set, which would bear huge importance for working out the country’s migration policy and efficiently fulfilling municipal programs.

Opis:: The demographic situation in comparison with the current housing situation is critical for the assessment of housing needs and, therefore, the housing demand. It is required to adopt the following elements of the demographic situation, which are of significant importance for the housing market: population and its age structure, vital statistics, the number and structure of households, the size of working-age population creating households, the scale and directions of internal and foreign migration, as well as the scale of urbanization. Over the last few dozens of years in all these phenomena far-reaching changes occurred, strongly affecting the scale of housing needs and the strength of social pressure on the housing sphere.

Tytuł:: Russia’s demographic policy after 2000 : motivations, solutions and short-term results

Opis:: The present study examines the directions of Russia’s demographic policy in the context of the accumulating challenges in this area and analyzes the results of this policy as well as the prospects for further development of the situation. The development of the Russian population since the Soviet era shows a steady tendency: the number of births in the regions inhabited by ethnic Russians is seriously declin-ing, with an increase in regions inhabited by ethnic groups traditionally professing Islam. Remedial steps were already taken in the 1990s, but the turning point was 2007, when the regulations related to the introduction of Maternity Capital en-tered into force. Another important step was the initiation of the national project "Demography", which significantly increased social assistance not only for families with children, but also for the older generation. The Maternity Capital policy positively correlates with the increase in births in the following years, however, after the Crimean events, the positive trend collapses and the birth rate shows a clear de-creasing tendency. Undoubtedly, success has been achieved in extending life expec-tancy. The tendency of a definitely positive net migration is not retreating either. The long-term effect of these processes is the aging of the Russian society and the change of the ethnic structure towards an increase in the number of the country’s Muslim population. A significant population growth is observable in metropoli-tan cities as well as in tourist and agricultural regions of the South-West while peripheral and rural areas are dying out. The fact that despite legislative and organizational efforts the number of the Federation’s inhabitants is falling indicates the limited nature of social policies aimed at manual control of social processes.

Opis:: This article muslim has been made an attempt to political science analysis of demographic aspect of the presence of muslims in France, and also tried to make a correlation analysis of demographic change of this community with respect to demographic trends in selected muslim countries. For the implementation of these objectives, the research, the author takes the difficult subject of determination of the number of muslims in France, the demographic structure of this community, a fertility rate of muslim women in this country, as well as the fertility rate of women in certain muslim countries. At the end the author indicates the cause of the decline in the fertility of muslim women in France and in some muslim countries.

Opis:: Demographic changes are one of the determinants shaping the global economy. Due to the growing population, the analysis of demographic changes in developed and developing countries is crucial. The aim of the article was to identify changes in the demographic structure of the least developed countries, and to assess the impact of demographic trends on the world economy. The study examines selected demographic trends in the least developed countries, including positive population growth, increase in life expectancy and in the number of children aged 0-14. The possible consequences for population growth in LDCs were also indicated. Based on the analysis of the literature and quantitative data, a possible increase in net migration from the LDCs and the probability of cultural problems in the host countries were identified. The research methods used in the article were the analysis of the literature and the method of inference. The aim of this article was to analyse the evolving demographic patterns in Least Developed Countries (LDCs) and their potential impact on the global economy. To achieve this objective, the following research questions were formulated: What are the potential risks associated with a young population in LDCs? How might demographic changes in LDCs influence developed countries? The research methods employed in this study included literature analysis and the inference method. Reliable quantitative data from reputable sources such as the World Bank, UNCTAD, and the WTO, among others, were utilised in the analysis.
Zmiany demograficzne są jedną z determinant kształtujących światową gospodarkę. W związku z rosnącą populacją analiza zmian demograficznych w krajach rozwiniętych oraz rozwijających się wydaje się kluczowa. Celem artykułu jest identyfikacja zachodzących zmian w strukturze demograficznej krajów najsłabiej rozwiniętych, w tym podjęcie próby oceny wpływu zaobserwowanych tendencji na gospodarkę światową. W opracowaniu scharakteryzowano wybrane tendencje demograficzne w krajach najsłabiej rozwiniętych, w tym: dodatni przyrost naturalny, wzrost oczekiwanej średniej długości życia, wzrost udziału osób w wieku 0-14 lat. Wskazano również możliwe konsekwencje wzrostu ludności w krajach LDC dla ich gospodarek oraz gospodarek krajów rozwiniętych. Na podstawie analizy literatury oraz danych ilościowych stwierdzono możliwy wzrost migracji netto z krajów LDC oraz możliwość wystąpienia problemów kulturowych w krajach przyjmujących. Metody badawcze zastosowane w artykule to analiza literatury oraz metoda wnioskowania.
