Opis:: The need for creating content repository stores for e-learning systems grows as the number of available materials increases. Moreover, along with the number of courses, the problem of describing them in a unified form appears. While there are standards used for strict classification of e-learning content, the store model still seems to be based on preservative relational databases approach. In this paper we introduce an idea to represent the e-learning content management information in the well organized object-oriented form based on a prospective object-oriented database.

Opis:: Electronic Dictionary as a Tool for Integration of Additional Learning ContentThis article discusses electronic dictionary as an element of the „Bulgarian cultural and historical heritage under the protection of UNESCO” database developed in IMI (BAS), that will be used to integrate additional learning content. The electronic dictionary is described as an easily accessible book of reference, offering information to the shape, meaning, usage and the origin of words in connection to the cultural-historical heritage sites in Bulgaria, protected by UNESCO. The dictionary targets 9–11 year old students from Bulgarian schools, who study the subjects “Man and Society” in 4th grade and “History and Civilization” in 5th grade.

Media społecznościowe jako narzędzie do nauki języków obcych. Analiza wybranych kont w serwisie Instagram oraz Youtube

Opis:: This thesis attempts to demonstrate the educational aspects of social media based specifically on YouTube and Instagram. The availability of tools used for content distribution in social media has opened up significant opportunities for web users to utilize them in a way that supports the language learning process. The theoretical part of the study examines terms associated with social media, as well as the spread of valuable content under the concept of content marketing. This essay additionally discusses issues related to e-learning and how new media can be used to implement forms of synchronous, asynchronous and self-learning. By using the method of content analysis, the author has investigated the degree of educational content distribution within the creations of two users whose activity focuses on posting materials on Instagram and YouTube. In order to verify the validity of the thesis, a set of materials was selected and then analyzed in regard to the chosen categories. The role of new media in the educational field is becoming more and more relevant as a result of the numerous provided materials, whose diversity and interactive form make it easier to engage the online community in content generation and interaction with the creators.
Niniejsza praca stanowi próbę wykazania edukacyjnego charakteru mediów społecznościowych na przykładzie funkcjonalnych rozwiązań serwisów YouTube oraz Instagram. Obecność różnorodnych narzędzi przekazu treści w social mediach otwarła przed użytkownikami sieci spore szanse na wykorzystanie ich w sposób, który wspiera pogłębianie kompetencji osób chłonnych językowej wiedzy. Część teoretyczna pracy poddaje do rozważań pojęcia związane z mediami społecznościowymi, ale także rozpowszechnianiem wartościowych treści w myśl idei content marketingu. Opracowanie omawia również tajniki nauki na odległość i sposób, w jaki nowe media pomagają realizować formę nauczania w trybie synchronicznym, asynchronicznym oraz samokształcenia. Dzięki zastosowaniu metody analizy treści, autorka zbadała stopień rozpowszechniania edukacyjnych materiałów w obrębie twórczości dwóch użytkowniczek, których to aktywność skupia się na analizowanych platformach. Są nimi nauczycielki języka hiszpańskiego, Agata Spendowska i Adrianna Wisłocka. Aby zweryfikować słuszność tezy, wyselekcjonowano zbiór materiałów, które następnie analizowane zostały w odniesieniu do obranych w kluczu kategorii. Rola mediów społecznościowych w edukacji odnajduje coraz to większe zastosowanie dzięki licznie udostępnianym materiałom, których różnorodność oraz interaktywna forma umożliwia zaangażowanie społeczności w dalsze generowanie treści oraz interakcje z twórcami.

Opis:: The paper concerns e-content characteristic features development to be used in Internet distance learning database. The elaborated e-applications development platform; Multimedia Applications Management Shell (MAMS) was elaborated for simplification of the application structure and for management of the unit. The MAMS platform works together with Quality Repetitions Unit (QRU) that controls the application flow and its repetition. Then, it produces the status of the application transmitted into the user personal data record. Both platforms provide the user with several standards, formats, objects and toll boxes used as an e-learning system library. The standardisation simplifies the application development and the application exploration. The defined standards are needed for Distance Learning System organisation that is at present under development at the University of Silesia.

Opis:: With the rapid spread of COVID-19 posing indefinite lockdowns globally with easy and cheap access to internet, e-learning tools are gaining popularity as a medium of learning. The area of e learning service quality is getting attention. The spate of conferences and webinars were conducted and many educational institutions have shifted from traditional means of teaching to online virtual classrooms. Many researchers previously suggested that acceptance of e-learning courses is influenced by perceived service quality. However, proper measurement e learning service quality is an issue which remains unaddressed. As far as higher education is concerned, the success, of this program shows varied results. There is a lack of studies especially in the area of student’s perception of e learning service quality in higher education context. The study also assesses the technological forced shifting in the area during covid 19. Therefore this study is initiated with a desire to assess e learning quality vis a vis student satisfaction through SERVQUAL model in higher education. In order to accomplish our objectives and in the light of extant literature review and discussion, the study utilizes adapted SERVQUAL scale. This study, Utilized a SERVQUAL Model for measuring e learning among higher education students. The study assesses unidimensionality through (CFA). Analysis was conducted to investigate the reliability and validity of the research scale, and the structural equation model (SEM) to examine the hypothesized model.

The article presents the need to use eLearning in didactic classes conducted at universities. The article also outlines the criteria that must be met by e-learning courses created by academic staff of the University of Rzeszow. Each of the courses being created is subjected to a multidimensional assessment of the substantive and methodological criteria, the fulfillment of which enables them to be implemented in the process of academic education.

Opis:: The paper presents the one e-content example used as a pattern solution for distance learning resources development at the University of Silesia. The Intranet technologies were used as networking services for training processes control and future distribution services at the University of Silesia distance learning network. The given solution provides the development team at Distance Learning Technologies Centre with various unifications and library units of four courses that are under development at present in Department of Computer Systems, institute of Informatics. All the applications are running on MAMS (Multimedia Applications Management Shell) environment as a common frame structure for every e-lesson. The MAMS applications are provided with several mechanisms that allow monitoring the user knowledge level and study progress. Various examples of the applications layout and their characteristic features are presented in this contribution.

The development of knowledge-based economy, promoting modern styles of learning, such as The Life Long Learning, The Learning-by-doing, The Knowledge-on-demand are one of the most important factors determining the demand for specialized educational services. Currently we can observe educational boom. The education has exceeded the walls of the schools and universities. Popular saying “a man learns throughout his whole life” has become a very relevant to definition of present society. Now, the Information Technology and Internet are not only as a tool, but are a stand-alone environment. Every day we create a lot of educational contents that require standardization. The paper presents the most popular standards for recording digital data used as e-content.
