Opis:
The Donetsk school of economic law began to emerge at the turn of the 1950s and 1960s in the Soviet Union, and then continued its activity after Ukraine gained independence in 1991. The Donetsk school of economic law presented the view on the legitimacy of separating economic law as an independent branch of law, whether in the conditions of the command economy or in the system of the market economy. During the period of socialism, the view on the independence of economic law was justified primarily by the specificity of the subject of regulation of economic law, which were social relations developing in the sector of the state socialist economy, with the participation of state economic organizations. After the collapse of the USSR and the adoption of the market economy system by Ukraine, economic law was distinguished on the basis of the specificity of its subject of regulation and the method of regulation. The subject of economic law regulation is economic activity, which is a manufacturing activity (production, performance of works and provision of services), and, at the same time, an activity consisting in organizing the use of assets. The method of regulating economic law involves combining the method of binding orders and the method of autonomous decisions by adjusting them to the needs of implementing the social economic order, based on ensuring the harmonization of public and private interests and guaranteeing partnership relations in the economy. Representatives of the Donetsk school of economic law played a dominant role in the preparation of the Economic Code of Ukraine (adopted in 2003), which comprehensively regulates the sphere of economic activity, covering both vertical and horizontal legal relations formed with the participation of economic entities.

Opis:
The article is devoted to the phenomenon of economic inertia. The authors of the study conducted sufficiently detailed research of economic inertia, on the basis of which the damage to the economy from various economic reforms or economic shocks can be revealed in a timely manner. as Additionally, guidelines can be outlined for further economic growth and sustainable economic development. In their in-depth research on the concept of economic inertia, the authors introduced into usage and employed new concepts of certainty, uncertainty, insufficiency and the redundancy of economic inertia. The authors delineated out as many as four levels of complexity of economic inertia uncertainty. The empirical research is based on a model of the impact of subsidies on the economy. The research model demonstrates that the use of subsidies decreases the market equi-librium price. Innovative companies lose motivation to pursue sustainable economic growth and ensure competitiveness. In this case, the phenomenon of economic inertia is obvious and deprives businesses of the incentives to use innovation to ensure eco-nomic growth. Thus, subsidies as a system of stimulus and rescue in the strategic as-pect of increasing competitiveness have negative effects on the country's economy.

Opis:
The article aims to define and classify economic policy objectives according to the methodological approach on which they are based. This is a significant issue that fills a gap in existing research, according to the author. Attempts to define economic policy objectives are often made at random; researchers in countries such as Germany usually limit themselves to listing such objectives, Horodecka says, while research reports in English-speaking countries tend to focus on the practical aspects of economic policy. The author discusses different methodological approaches to economic policy making. The adopted method of analysis makes it possible to determine the most important features of economic policy depending on the approach adopted. The author classifies and defines economic policy objectives depending on the methodological approach adopted. She identifies the following approaches in the context of economic policy objectives: a normative approach, focusing on economic prosperity; a positive approach, based on growth and stability as the functions of the economic system; and a descriptive approach, focusing on objectives actually pursued by economic policymakers in specific countries. The analysis resulted not only in defining and classifying economic policy objectives, but also in determining the advantages and disadvantages of individual approaches. This critical review of the existing methods points to the superiority of the descriptive approach, Horodecka concludes.

Opis:
This paper presents and applies an economic model developed for the management of dredged marine sediments. The model predicts direct project costs and direct, indirect and induced economic impacts. The model is applied to analyse the economic aspect of the specific potential beneficial use of dredged sediment for land reclamation in an Irish context. The model results show the potential economic benefits to land reclamation of using dredged sediment including its value as a potential substitute for quarry based material and as an alternative to traditional offshore dredged sediment disposal, where appropriate. Analysis of other sediment management approaches including wetland creation, is also presented with the results for wetland creation indicating its potential, where appropriate, as a valuable alternative to offshore disposal. Indicative economic benefits are predicted by the model for the different dredge sediment management approaches analysed.

Opis:
Economic promotion, if prepared properly and realised effectively, should provide information and argumentation that encourage people to purchase goods produced in the given country, and to start economic cooperation with companies from that country. In the years 2010 – 2015, there were over 170 entities that created, supported and realised activities in the area of economic promotion. Approximate total costs of the activities aimed at internationalisation incurred by the public sector stood at about PLN 2.2 billion. However, as the NIK audit shows, although those activities were realised in a broad scope and in various forms, they had not been preceded by adoption of strategic assumptions at the national and regional level. They were not properly coordinated, either, which made it impossible to take advantage of economies of scale. The reason behind is that a coherent system of Poland’s economic promotion did not exist.
