Opis:: The article describes the basic forms and methods of forming cross-cultural competence of future professionals in public relations. The author presents a description of educational activities carried out during the experimental work. Organizational and methodical aspects of forming cross-cultural competence of future professionals in public relations are viewed in teaching students two special disciplines, conducting training programs and didactic games. The four-semester long special course “English in professional activities” is planned to enable students to communicate professionally. One-semester long special course “Intercultural communication” is organized to assist future specialist in culture knowledge. Training programs are offered to form the system of values and measure the actual level of cross-cultural competence. Role play envisages practicing professional communication.

Opis:: The problem of adaptation of educational space of technical university to modern market requirements is considered. There are described the results of studying the requests of higher education applicants and their vision of the success of the study. The aim of the article is to build an architecture of an information system similar to that used by modern enterprises, which will provide a combination of scientific, design and educational activities of the academic community, taking into account market needs. The main scientific research methods are bibliographic analysis, comparative analysis, methods of analogies. The conceptual architecture of the Information Support of Design Innovation Activity of the Technical University system based on the construction of a unified scientific and educational information space is described. The main task of the university's information space is to prepare students for activities of the real market. There are determined the necessity and limits of application of the modern access control system at the universities of Ukraine, in particular for the organization of independent work of students. There is offered the way to reach the 4th level of technological readiness of students 'and teachers' development. The construction of an ontological description of the subject area of a technical university, the development of the application of a grid model for the description of scientific and technical information, and the determination of the current technical status are defined as the basis of the system of setting tasks for project groups in the transition to project-oriented learning. The question of the appropriateness of using adaptive case management system as a basic concept of building electronic document management system is resolved. Opis:: The article describes possible practical educational activities aimed at respecting the landscape, in particular the cultural landscape, in which various types of advertisements appear in an uncontrolled form. The presented considerations are based on a field practice conducted in 2018 with students of spatial management, during which advertisements on the main street of Pabianice were inventoried. The collected material, conclusions, and recommendations serve as a starting point for a broader discussion on the advertising chaos in the city.

Opis:: After Poland regained independence in 1918, educational societies played an important role in the education of the society. Jan Kornecki was one of many community workers who continued activities in that area started during the times of national bondage. On behalf of the Polish Educational Society in Warsaw [Polska Macierz Szkolna], he became a member of a pioneer group trying to unify the actions and strengthen the cooperation between educational societies in various districts of Poland. After the establishment of the Liaison Commission of Polish Educational Societies [Komisja Porozumiewawcza Polskich Towarzystw Oświatowych], he accepted the position of the secretary of the Commission’s Executive Department and was responsible for initiating and maintaining permanent contacts between the societies forming the Commission. Apart from maintaining ongoing relationships with community workers in the places of their local activities, he prepared the First Polish Educational Congress, which was convened in December 1924 in Warsaw. J. Kornecki rendered great services in founding a new educational organization named The Union of Polish Educational Societies [Zjednoczenie Polskich Towarzystw Oświatowych], which was established in 1927 based on the experiences gathered by the Liaison Commission, which operated earlieroku He took the function of the manager of the Union’s Executive Department Office; his responsibilities included delegating and supervising tasks performed by clerks employed in the Office, managing the property and funds, and drawing up reports of activities. He moreover organized and convened annual and extraordinary meetings of delegates and implemented the resolutions adopted, prepared plans and programmes of quarterly off-schedule meetings of the Executive Department, represented the Union during external relations, mainly with state and local government institutions and first of all initiated and maintained regular relationships with separate associations and provided them with all kinds of aid, e.g. by organizing annual conferences for educational managers.

Opis:: The spread of mandatory military service for all citizens in II Rzeczypospolita caused the rapid growth of representatives of national minority in the army, Ukrainians in particular, who were often indifferent or sometimes even hostile to the country. One of the main reasons for indifference or hostile from Ukrainians was the events of Polish-Ukrainian war 1918–1919, the fight for Lviv, the defeat of ZUNR (West Ukrainian People’s Republic), in which Poland was considered to be guilty. At the same time the level of national and civil consciousness of many Poles was low enough. Taking all that into consideration, military and political authorities realized the necessity of organizing some educational activities for recruits. In the army there were some regular educational lectures with tendentiously chosen historical examples, whose aim was to smooth tensions in bilateral relations, to integrate Ukrainians into society, to bring up the sense of patriotism to Motherland, country of residence and finally to assimilate. To reach this aim, excursions, theatres and cinemas were also used for this reason.

Opis:: The purpose of this article is to analyse educational activities undertaken in the area ofsocial entrepreneurship. The main conclusions are that respondents do not know about social entrepreneurship and social initiatives are undertaken only to a minimal extent; education for social entrepreneurship is at an unacceptable level. Thus, education in economics in Poland should be enriched with social economy and social entrepreneurship. An essential element that can positively affect the development of social entrepreneurship is the support of social activities undertaken by young people within a broader debate about the social dimension of our lives.

Opis:: One of the priority directions of the modern education process is developing of secondary and higher schools students’ critical thinking. Modern society tendencies such as constantly expanding informational space, skyrocketing role of the communicative processes and increasing amount of information form challenge of developing students’ critical thinking for the linguistic and communicative practices. Purpose. The purpose of this article is to analyze the role of critical thinking, to consider philosophical tradition of the critical thinking development, to find out what kinds of critical thinking development techniques providing special educational activities are used at universities. Methods. The methodology of this research is the comparative analysis of different kinds of critical thinking and philosophical systematization of its functions according to the specific value of critical thinking. The functional approaches to realize interdependence of critical thinking and communicative competence, the significance of the philosophical tradition of developing of the critical thinking for the linguistic and communicative practices of critical thinking are implemented in this article. The American tradition of differentiating content presentation, possible interpretations and self-assessment in the analysis of texts is systematized. The analytical method is used to find out the significance of different kinds of critical thinking development methodical techniques, provided special educational communicative activities at universities, such as: reasoning, argumentation, dialogues, debates and others. Results. Considering the importance of argumentation, its skills are taught as in high schools as well as in the US universities. Today teachers require from their students to generate and defend their views, to learn the ability of thinking independently, to formulate their own opinions with responsibility and to defend their position argumentatively. Not least in these requirements occupy argumentative communicative abilities as a way to explain and defend their arguments and critical thinking, which is one of the tools to analyze perceived information. Means of argumentation and critical thinking are improving while the whole students’ training period with the help of such means as dialogue and discussion methods in classes.
