Opis:: While searching for the ways of enhancing students’ educational efficiency, the authors set the framework for the issue from two perspectives-educational and emotional, stressing the existence of a strong interdependence between emotional and cognitive ones. The focus of study is students’ perception of educational processes, the emotional states they demonstrate and their interdependence. For the purpose of this research a battery of questionnaires was constructed and the results have shown that students’ emotional states greatly influence their perception of educational efficiency. Based on these results, the recommendation on modifying the management of educational processes is that students’ emotional states should not be excluded from the equation of a successful education. The factors that shape the emotional context of learning should be taken into account.

Opis:: This elaboration undertakes the subject of the effectiveness of teaching in multi-grade classes on early school education level. This form of organising the education process, despite considerably quantitive contribution to organising work for the Polish school, it never has been and still is not a subject of particular interest of pedagogical theory and practice. The deliberations presented in this article are the result of empirical studies which have been being performed by the author for twenty years in schools environment functioning in multi-grade classroom system. The research results presented, on the one hand constitute, in the author’s opinion, a substantial complement of knowledge regarding functioning of early school education, and on the other hand, they represent an attempt of verification of a widely spread stereotype referred to the multi-grade classroom system, namely, organising the educational process in multi-grade classes determines low level of pupils’ school achievements who are enrolled in this system. Nothing could be further from the truth and it is proven by the analysis of research results presented in this elaboration.

Opis:: The contemporary focus on the efficiency of education is erroneously narrowed down to the category of efficiency measured by quantitative methods. Such treatment of teachers and their pedagogical activities may be a source of ambivalent feelings for educators in relation to their own profession. Autonomy and self-efficacy are the basis of the teacher’s inner harmony, understood as a kind of balance. The described attitude is a guarantee of job satisfaction and protects the educator against professional burnout. The aim of this study is the attempt to answer the question: what is the relationship between the self-efficacy in teaching work and the category of internal harmony of the educator?

Opis:: Celem artykułu jest zaprezentowanie wyników badania panelowego prowadzonego w latach 2009-2013 na grupie 832 uczniów i 59 absolwentów średniej szkoły zawodowej w zakresie planów edukacyjno-zawodowych. W wyniku badania dokonano weryfikacji planów uczniów/absolwentów z punktu widzenia oceny skuteczności doradztwa edukacyjno-zawodowego w szkole zawodowej. Wyniki szczegółowej analizy uprawniają do wskazania wybranych edukacyjnych czynników skutecznego doradztwa edukacyjno-zawodowego.
The aim of the paper is to present the findings of a panel survey of career and further education plans, administered in 2009-2013 on a sample of 832 students and 59 graduates of a vocational high school. The survey has verified the plans declared by the students/graduates in order to assess the efficiency of the career advisory service within the school. The results of our analysis enable us to identify the educational factors of efficient career and educational advisory.

Opis:: The virtual environment allows solving new educational problems, but also generates new educational, psychological and pedagogical effects, new experience. E-learning, like traditional learning, is realised with the help of three most common technologies: self-learning technology; one-to-one learning technology; one-to-many learning technology. At the same time, e-learning interaction involves self-organisation of the individual and the organisation of joint distributed activities of students. Self-organisation of the individual is understood as the ability to structure personal time, tactically plan own activities, purposefully act in solving problems. The effectiveness of educational activities of students in the conditions of e-learning depends on how students are guided by their own internal principles, the ability to create conditions for the optimization of learning tasks and actions. The article presents the results of theoretical and empirical research of self-organisation of the individual in the context of effective distribution of time resources, describes the psychological strategies of network activity of students, highlights the features of educational styles, levels of psychological efficiency of interaction with information technology.

Opis:: Celem powyższego opracowania było przedstawienie zależności zachodzących pomiędzy wychowaniem do wartości moralnych a celami osiąganymi polityce. Autor omawia koncepcje polityki i wychowania przyjęte przez Arystotelesa, św. Tomasza z Akwinu i św. Katarzynę ze Sieny. Na ich podstawie analizuje, w jaki sposób usprawnianie cnót w człowieku wpływa na jego życie codzienne, podejmowane wybory, na życie społeczne i zaangażowanie polityczne. Omówione zostały cztery cnoty kardynalne w ujęciu św. Tomasza z Akwinu. Dokonano próby wyjaśnienia, jakie jest ich znaczenie w osiąganiu przez osobę dojrzałości moralnej. Autor wskazał, jak ważne są predyspozycje moralne osób obejmujących i sprawujących władzę. Odnosi się też do aktualnej sytuacji w szkołach, do programów wychowawczych i perspektyw dla kształcenia młodego człowieka, który jako obywatel będzie musiał odnaleźć się we współczesnym świecie. Na podstawie dokonanej analizy wskazano cechy dobrego obywatela i polityka. Od prawości rządzących w znacznej mierze zależy bowiem dobrostan państwa i jego obywateli.
The purpose of this study was to present the relationships between education in moral values and the objectives achieved by policy. The author discusses the concepts of politics and education adopted by Aristotle, St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Catherine of Siena. On that basis he analyzes how the improvement of virtues affects our daily life, choices, social life and political engagement. The four cardinal virtues in terms of St. Thomas Aquinas have been discussed. It has been attempted to explain their importance in achieving moral maturity. The author pointed out the importance of moral predispositions of those involved in power. It also refers to the current situation in schools with all educational programs and prospects for education of young people who as citizens are to find themselves in the modern world. On the basis of the analysis the qualities of a good citizen and a politician have been indicated. The nation’s welfare is based on the righteousness of a ruler.
