Opis:: Nowadays Internet technologies are becoming more capable of supporting traditional ways of teaching. Education portals in particular offer lessons in various domains as supportive means for experienced tutors to deliver knowledge to students. The aim of this study is to present the solutions offered by various educational centres and to analyse supportive methods of teaching. The paper presents. A discussion about the approaches to the formulation of a list of teaching methods supporting traditional lessons. The next part is devoted to an overview of selected educational portals offering courses in the business informatics area. Then the paper concerns the comparison of the applied methods of teaching which support classic lessons. The utility of particular methods in teaching selected courses is demonstrated and evaluated according to the defined survey assumptions. Finally, suggestions concerning the hybridisation of various supporting teaching methods are proposed

The aim of the article is to identify the determinants of changes in the school development approach and learning processes. Another scientific goal is to show that the introduced political interventions have changed the Singaporean schools. The concepts and solutions, which were adopted in the school system, determine the educational success of this country. I would like to present the reforms and political interventions which contribute to a better understanding of educational policy. The effective implementations of reforms focused on learning processes and on conditions of schools to react quickly to educational changes. The results presented in the article are mainly based on the literature review or research, undertaken by researchers, or analysis of source documents.

Opis:: Raport z badań prezentowany w artykule pokazuje wpływ podwójnej struktury gry, wdrożonej do jednego kursu akademickiego. Pierwsza gra to klasyczna kierownicza gra biznesowa, rozgrywana w 4–5-osobowych zespołach. Druga to inwestycyjna gra rozgrywana na poziomie indywidualnym. Gra inwestycyjna czerpie swoje dane z gry grupowej i jej celem jest maksymalizacja wyników inwestycyjnych bazujących na dynamicznym celu opartym na średnich wynikach z rozgrywanej gry kierowniczej. Zadaniem tej struktury gry jest motywowanie studentów do lepszego i pełniejszego analizowania raportów spółek oraz budowania lepszej strategii decyzyjnej. W artykule analizowane są wyniki gry inwestycyjnej na poziomie indywidualnym oraz gry kierowniczej w porównaniu do grupy kontrolnej.
The report on research presented in the article shows the impact of the double–game structure employed in a college course. The first game is a classic managerial business game played in teams consisting of four to five people. The second is an investment–style game played on an individual level. The investment game draws on data from the group game and its objective is the maximizing of investment results based on a dynamic target grounded on average results of the managerial game. The goal of such a game structure is the motivating of students to analyze company reports better and more fully as well as to build better decision–making strategies. The article analyzes the results of the investment game on an individual level as well as of the managerial game as compared with a control group.

Opis:: Following the tendencies showed in international documents we have given the disabled people in Poland access to open education. These activities are done in agreement with the ideas which have been promoted by special pedagogy for years, that is: the normalization and improvement of the quality of disabled people’s lives. The changes were started by the Regulation of the Ministry of National Education of October 4, 1993 which opened up integrated education in mainstream schools classes to disabled students. Another regulation, introduced on February 15, 1999, implemented the educational reform which gave every child regardless of the type or degree of disability the right to education in mainstream schools and which made schools responsible for facilitating it. Since that time the literature on special pedagogy has taken more and more interest in the notion of inclusive education. The researchers of this phenomenon keep asking the same question: ‘To what extent will the mentally disabled be able to adapt to learning conditions – learning in an ordinary class in a mainstream school? What kind of problems might they face?

Opis:: In this article the author presents inclusive education as a policy, which in recent decades has often been viewed as a moral imperative. She presents this issue in a dichotomous choice: either full inclusion or special education. This chapter joins other voices in arguing for a more nuanced approach to inclusive practice. One that demands better quality research on which to base decisions and puts student needs and goals above blanket policies that are applied indiscriminately. The author oncludes future research also needs to remediate current limitations of research of the efficacy and effectiveness of inclusive education including: limited comparison or control groups, weak research designs, no measures of treatment fidelity, lack of clarity in the outcome measures (academic, behavioral, adaptive, etc.), limited attention to what the benefits and detriments of inclusion are, variable impact across populations, and to implement more randomized control trials.

Opis:: Baltasar Gracián’s views revolved around the motivation of moral axiology in reference to the cognitive knowledge of reason and the practical knowledge of reason, by which individuals achieve effective results. He believed that knowledge of motivation, strategies and tactics for successful goal achievement should be imparted in education, while wisdom is expressed by effective long-term and permanent results of reasonable actions. Behavioral strategies motivated by moral axiology result in increased human spiritual and material well-being in society, and education in this area contributes to knowledge spread and moral progress. Temporal wisdom is both life wisdom and worldly wisdom; the former belongs to the human nature of life and is a driving force behind the creation of a better human world.

Opis:: Celem niniejszej pracy jest wyjaśnienie, dlaczego wybrane metody uczenia się są mniej efektywne od innych oraz omówienie techniki nauki za pomocą fiszek, która stanowi główną funkcjonalność zbudowanej aplikacji internetowej, będącej integralną częścią pracy. Punktem wyjścia rozważań jest neurobiologiczny aspekt przyswajania wiedzy. W tym celu przedstawiona została krótka charakterystyka struktur mózgowych, takich jak kora mózgowa, hipokamp, neuron, a także cecha mózgu zwana neuroplastycznością. Następnie opisano możliwe przyczyny i skutki wybierania nieefektywnych metod nauki. Jako przyczynę omówiona została formalna edukacja, szczególnie oparta na systemie pruskim. Przedstawionymi skutkami są natomiast złe nawyki oraz błędne przekonania o własnej osobie. Następnie opisano istotne aspekty, o których powinniśmy pamiętać, jeśli chcemy, aby nasza nauka była skuteczna, takie jak: pamięć, wpływ snu i zjawisko zapominania. W dalszej części pracy przedstawiona jest technika nauki za pomocą fiszek. Opisano jej zalety oraz działanie tak zwanej kartoteki autodydaktycznej stworzonej przez Sebastiana Leitnera. Kolejną częścią pracy jest techniczna specyfikacja zbudowanej aplikacji o nazwie Beesly, służącej do nauki za pomocą fiszek. Omówiona została jej struktura, główne funkcjonalności oraz wykorzystane do jej zbudowania środki techniczne i metodologia pracy. Aplikacja powstała przy pomocy języka programowania Python i frameworku Flask, współdziała z nią relacyjna baza danych. Wnioski wynikające z pracy wskazują na fakt, że nieefektywne metody uczenia się skupiają się na kodowaniu informacji jedynie w pamięci krótkotrwałej, bez zaangażowania pamięci długotrwałej, która odgrywa kluczową rolę w tym kontekście. Istotne znaczenie mają również sen oraz rozłożenie nauki w czasie. Na podstawie powyższych wniosków można stwierdzić, że nauka za pomocą fiszek jest metodą efektywną. Zbudowana aplikacja, w której algorytm nauki terminów z fiszek został zainspirowany tak zwanym systemem Leitnera, może być uznana za skuteczny sposób przyswajania wiedzy.
The aim of this thesis is to explain why certain learning methods are less effective than others and to discuss the technique of learning by using flashcards. This technique is the main functionality of the developed web application, which is an integral part of the thesis. The starting point is the neurobiological aspect of acquiring knowledge. For this purpose, the brief characterization of brain structures such as the cerebral cortex, hippocampus, neuron, and the concept of neuroplasticity are described. Secondly, the possible causes and effects of choosing ineffective learning methods are presented. Formal education, particularly based on the Prussian education system, is discussed as a cause, while bad habits and misguided self-beliefs are identified as the resulting effects. Furthermore, important aspects of effective learning, such as memory, the impact of sleep and the phenomenon of forgetting information, are described. In the next part of the thesis, the technique of learning by using flashcards is presented. I present its advantages and discuss the functioning of the so-called Leitner system, developed by Sebastian Leitner. Another important section of the thesis is dedicated to the technical specification of the developed application named Beesly. Its structure, main functionalities, technical tools used for its development, and work methodology are discussed. The application was built using the Python programming language, the Flask framework, and also with a connection to the relational database. The conclusions from the research indicate that ineffective learning methods focus solely on encoding information in short-term memory, without engaging long-term memory, which plays a crucial role in effective learning. Other important aspects to remember are sleep quality and learning distributed in time. Based on these findings, we can state that learning by using flashcards is one of the effective methods. The Beesly application, in which the learning algorithm was inspired by the so-called Leitner system, can be considered an efficient way of learning.
