Opis:: The war between Russia and Ukraine has political, military, economic and humanitarian implications. Europe as a whole was not prepared to face the economic and social consequences of the military actions. The international community mobilized and organized complex actions to sanction the aggressor state, to help the population and logistical support for the Republic of Ukraine. Diplomatic efforts were manifold and of great international scope. Romania, a state on the Eastern border of the European Union with a common border with Ukraine, was receptive and mobilised important logistical resources, either by facilitating humanitarian aid or by sending aid directly.

Opis:: It is undeniably true that local languages will be preserved if they are respected, used, and inherited to the next generations. They should be used in the family and community so that children do not avoid or become unfamiliar with their vernaculars. This study explored the attitudes of Acehnese young families toward Acehnese language, and further investigating their efforts in maintaining and passing the local language to their children. Twelve Acehnese couples (young parents) residing in Banda Aceh, Indonesia, were interviewed to obtain data. They were chosen on purpose because their first languages had to meet the study’s criteria: (a) Acehnese-speaking parents, (b) Acehnese-speaking fathers and Indonesian-speaking mothers, (c) Indonesian-speaking fathers and Acehnese-speaking mothers; (d) Indonesian-speaking parents, (e) Acehnese-speaking fathers and other ethnic language-speaking mothers; as well as (f) other ethnic language-speaking fathers and Acehnese-speaking mothers. The data were then transcribed and identified for the key points, patterns, or themes in accordance with the attitudes of Acehnese young parents toward Acehnese language. The findings show that the Acehnese language was highly valued for being the heritage language, connecting people within and outside of families, expressing emotions, and requiring promotion despite its low popularity. Although a majority of parents in this study saw the Acehnese language as important for expressing their Acehnese identity and were aware of its values, they failed to pass the language on to their children. Out of the twelve families, only one family succeeded in passing on and maintaining Acehnese to their children. Nevertheless, language maintenance in the home works if parental practical efforts are made by providing their children with linguistic resources, and most important of all, using the local language in interactions with them.

Opis:: The author of this paper defines the aspectual paradigms of Russian verbs as such grammatical structures whose formal aspect is correlated with the conceptual one, therefore being its cognitive counterpart. With a view to analysing these paradigms he uses the theory of markedness as an analytic tool. According to it, the grammatical changes that occur in natural languages originate from general principles of naturalness which are typologically relevant. They result in morphological shifts that are linked to the verbalisation of Russian aspectual paradigms and allow to predict the direction of their development. In particular, the principle of natural grammatical development should be considered crucial. It means that the grammatical changes in natural languages cause elimination of marked elements, so that these more complex linguistic structues are replaced with less complex ones. Such a principle manifests an unconscious desire of language users to minimise their linguistic efforts, as it would place an additional burden on interpersonal communication.

Opis:: Objectives: This paper aims to assess the relationship between the determinants of the psychosocial work environment, as expressed in terms of JDC or ERI models, and all-cause mortality in older individuals. Materials and Methods: The baseline study was conducted on a cohort comprising a random sample of 65-year-old community-dwelling citizens of Kraków, Poland. All of the 727 participants (410 women, 317 men) were interviewed in their households in the period between 2001 and 2003; a structured questionnaire was used regarding their occupational activity history, which included indexes measuring particular dimensions of their psychosocial work environment based on Karasek's Job Demand-Control model and Siegrist's Effort-Reward Imbalance model, as well as health-related quality of life and demographic data. Mortality was ascertained by monitoring City Vital Records for 7 years. Analyses were conducted separately for men and women, with the multivariate Cox proportional hazard model. Results: During a 7-year follow-up period, 59 participants (8.1%) died, including 21 women (5.1% of total women) and 38 men (12%) (p < 0.05). Significant differences in the number of deaths occurred regarding disproportion between physical demands and control in men: those with low physical demands and low control died three times more often than those with high control, regardless of the level of demands. The multivariate Cox proportional hazard model showed that significantly higher risk of death was observed only in men with low physical demands and low control, compared to those with low physical demands and high control (Exp(B) = 4.65, 95% CI: 1.64-13.2). Conclusions: Observed differences in mortality patterns are similar to the patterns of relationships observed in health-related quality of life (HRQoL) level at the beginning of old age; however, the relationship between efforts and rewards or demands and control and mortality was not fully confirmed.

Opis:: W artykule przedstawiono wyniki analiz numerycznych silnie zdeformowanych fragmentów rur. Uzyskane wartości odniesione zostały do testu eksperymentalnego, co pozwoliło w pełni zweryfikować model symulacyjny. Silna deformacja obiektu, wynosząca ok. 42% wymiarów początkowych była realizowana poprzez zgniatanie stemplem o znacznie większej sztywności niż rozpatrywany element. Geometria zdeformowanego elementu została odtworzona dzięki wykorzystaniu skanera przestrzennego i porównana z wynikami analiz numerycznych. Weryfikacji modelu MES dokonano w oparciu zarówno o uzyskane zarysy zdeformowanych obiektów, jak i wartości odkształceń. Analiza numeryczna pozwoliła na ocenę stanu naprężeń panujących w silnie odkształconym fragmencie rury.
Because of no capability to estimate a stress state in a real pipeline, numerical analyses are taken advantage for this purpose, e. g. Finite Element Method. However, it needs to remember, that numerical simulations of pipelines must be verified in laboratory or range tests or through simulations of real failure of an object. In a carried numerical analysis, stamping process of a deformable pipe by rigid bodies was investigated. The rectangular shape of a rigid body was taken into account. Determination of strain stress states in case of strong deformation (about 42% -change of a diameter) was a purpose of this research. Numerical analyses were preceded by experimental tests. The results received from a numerical analysis were compared with experimental results.

Opis:: At preschool age, many predispositions to perform specific tasks may be observed in a child, which can be described as abilities. The abilities manifested in a child are visible in their daily routines at home and behaviour in the preschool group. An ability is associated with an easiness of an individual to acquire and correctly process information, to take decisions as well as independent, creative and effective actions. In preschool environment the diagnostic process of a child’s abilities is crucial due to the possibilities of their further development. The efforts taken by the teacher in the process of supporting a preschool child abilities may help them effectively utilize their talents in various areas of their activity in the future. However it may happen that teachers are not sufficiently prepared to work with talented children. Many preschool teachers prioritize their educational work mainly to the implementation of teaching programs, time management and maintenance of discipline in large groups. They only learn about the importance of supporting preschool children’s abilities in this process during their professional self-improvement.
W wieku przedszkolnym można dostrzec u dziecka wiele predyspozycji do wykonywania specyficznych zadań, które określa się mianem zdolności. Przejawiane zdolności u dziecka są zauważalne w codziennym funkcjonowaniu w domu i zachowaniu się w grupie przedszkolnej. Zdolność wiąże się z łatwością jednostki do pobierania i poprawnego przetwarzania informacji, podejmowania decyzji, a także samodzielnego, twórczego, a przy tym skutecznego działania. W przypadku środowiska przedszkolnego proces diagnozowania zdolności dziecka jest kluczowy ze względu na możliwości ich dalszego rozwoju. Działania podejmowane przez nauczyciela w procesie wspierania zdolności dziecka w wieku przedszkolnym będą mogły w przyszłości pomóc efektywnie wykorzystywać dane mu przez los talenty. Jednak zdarza się, że nauczyciele nie mają wystarczającego przygotowania do pracy z dziećmi zdolnymi. Wielu nauczycieli edukacji przedszkolnej swoją pracę edukacyjną podporządkowuje głównie realizacji programów nauczania, reżimowi czasu i utrzymaniu dyscypliny w dużych grupach. O tym, jak ważne jest w tym procesie wspieranie zdolności dzieci w wieku przedszkolnym, dowiadują się dopiero podczas samodoskonalenia zawodowego
