Opis:: The article focuses on the analysis of human action. At the beginning the term of ‘action’ is defined and then the classification of actions presented. There were proposed three criteria of the classification: purpose, doer and motivation which allow us to describe the nature of changes triggered by action. After that the basic elements of action are considered. Analysis of action involves searching for relationships between them. The article assumes that the praxeological analysis of action should be done by examination of all these elements and relations.

Opis:: The aim of this article is to draw attention to the theatrical and performative aspect of visual works by Władysław Hasior. The Zakopane artist is presented not only as an acknowledged sculptor, creator of assemblages and banners, but above all, as a performer, stage designer, director of a peculiar “theatre of the elements”, and the author of open-air shows with complex dramaturgy and precisely defined course. The author of the article attempts to indicate the sources of Hasior’s theatrical interests and their development. The issue of theatricality is examined in relation to the way in which the artist’s works are displayed, and to his scenographic projects or his own artistic performances. These activities reveal the Hasior’s fascination with theatrical means of expression and the idea of a collective gathering of ceremonial nature. The ephemerality of the Hasior’s open-air shows means that they have been the area least explored by researchers to date.

Opis:: Cutting a tubular element into thin rings is an operation often used in engineering processes. Total work of the cutting consists of that necessary for initial deflection of cut material and the cutting work itself. This paper presents mathematical models which describe deflection of cross-section of a single tubular element as well as a single layer of tubes under action of external forces ( acting and reacting ones). The deflection concerns end part of tube hence the cutting object model has been reduced to a thin ring. Results of calculation by using the developed models are presented for selected materials of tubular elements, which are commonly used for structures of the kind; moreover , they are prepared in a form of dimensionless diagrams, that makes it possible to use them for an arbitrary material.
