Opis:: The transverse momentum dependence of the azimuthal anisotropy parameter v2, the second harmonic of the azimuthal distribution, for electrons at mid-rapidity (|eta| < 0.35) has been measured with the PHENIX detector in Au+Au collisions at square root(sNN) = 200 GeV with respect to the reaction plane defined at high rapidities (|eta| = 3-4). From the result, we have calculated non-photonic electron v2, which is expected to reflect the heavy-flavor azimuthal anisotropy, by subtracting v2 of electrons from other sources such as photon conversions, Dalitz decay etc.

Opis:: The ellipsoidally symmetric Buda-Lund hydrodynamic model describes naturally the transverse momentum and the pseudorapidity dependence of the elliptic flow in Au+Au collisions at sNN = 130 and 200 GeV. The result confirms the indication of quark deconfinement in Au+Au collisions at RHIC, obtained from Buda-Lund hydro model fits to combined spectra and HBT radii of BRAHMS, PHOBOS, PHENIX and STAR.

Opis:: Abstract A hydrodynamics + hadronic rescattering model is used to simulate Au+Au collisions at 200 GeV and a Cooper-Frye method is adopted for hadronization. The effect of hadronic rescattering on elliptic flow V2 in 20 40% Au+Au collisions at 200 GeV has been investigated. It is found that the hadronic rescattering can suppress elliptic flow V2 and makes an asymmetric system in momentum space tend to be less anisotropic. The suppression effect becomes weak with increasing transverse momentum. In addition, the effect of hadronic rescattering on transverse momentum spectra and anisotropy of hadronic coordinate space is presented.

Opis:: Elliptic flow at RHIC is computed event-by-event with NeXSPheRIO. Reasonable agreement with experimental results on v2(h) is obtained. Various effects are studied as well: reconstruction of impact parameter direction, freeze-out temperature, equation of state (with or without crossover), emission mechanism.

Opis:: It appears that in microscopic calculations hadrons are continuously emitted from the whole reaction volume. Different species decouple at different times. At RHIC energies significant fractions of both mesons and baryons are emitted from the surface region within the first two fm/c. The hadrons contribute differently to the formation and evolution of the anisotropic flow, which can be decomposed into three components: (i) flow created by hadrons emitted from the surface at the onset of the collision; (ii) flow produced by jets; (iii) hydrodynamic flow. Due to these features, e.g., the elliptic flows of mesons and baryons have different transverse momentum dependences. Comparison with experimental data reveals that centrality, rapidity, and transverse momentum dependences of the anisotropic flow are reproduced, at least qualitatively, by the microscopic models.
