Opis:: Although literary style is usually considered in the context of a single national language, one characteristic of literary texts is the possibility of utilizing linguistic means from several languages and to connect them in various ways. Usually, there is an opposition between the matrix language (the language of the community for whom the text is primarily intended) and passages formulated in other, embedded languages, which take on the role of foreign languages in relation to the matrix language. The description of the style of such texts must respect their multilingual character, i.e. it must observe the principles of selection and organization of the linguistic means both in relation to the matrix language and to the embedded language(s). The features of the style of multilingual texts are presented in this study through three examples from 20th-century Czech literature: Jaromír John’s short story collection Veèery na slamníku (Evenings on a Straw Mattress, 1920), Jan Novák’s short story collection Striptease Chicago (1983) and Jan Křesadlo’s novel La calle Neruda (1995).

Opis:: Programowanie sterowników wbudowanych polega na wykorzystaniu standardowych języków i narzędzi programowania. Zadanie sterowania sekwencyjnego realizowanego przez sterownik może być w różny sposób zaimplementowane w wybranym środowisku programowania. W zależności od tego uzyskuje się programy różniące się między sobą szybkością pracy i zapotrzebowaniem na pamięć operacyjną. Parametry te stają się istotne przy doborze optymalnej konstrukcji systemu mikroprocesorowego sterownika. Praca zawiera porównanie efektywności różnych wariantów oprogramowania tego samego zadania sterowania.
Programming of embedded microcontrollers is based on usage of the standard programming languages and tools: from machine-level symbolic instructions to high-level languages - mainly C. One of the typical control task, which is usually implemented in microcontroller software, is logic sequential control. Programme implementation of that task depends on: used programming language and its possible syntax. Sometimes we can also use dedicated aiding system, which generates software implementation of the control task from its formal description to insert it into controller software. Usage of different programming languages and techniques causes that control software can work slower or faster and needs less or more operating memory. The time and memory complexity of the control software decide about the controller hardware and are important, when this hardware should be optimal. The article contains the comparison of time and memory efficiency of the exemplary control task according to usage of different programming languages, techniques and even programming tools. Conclusions pointed in the paper can be useful for microcontroller designer and programmer.

Opis:: Artykuł prezentuje nowe podejście do projektowania systemów wbudowanych z użyciem języka C z dyrektywami OpenMP. Opisano w nim motywację użycia standardu OpenMP do syntezy sprzętowo-programowej. Przedstawiono proponowane rozwiązanie oraz porównano je z klasycznym projektowaniem systemów sprzętowych. Przedstawiono także konstrukcje równoległe standardu OpenMP, syntezowane do postaci współbieżnych układów cyfrowych. Pokazano przykładowy program w języku OpenMP wraz z jego przekładem do kodu SystemC oraz schemat RTL układu będącego wynikiem syntezy opisanego źródła.
The embedded system is a special-purpose computer that performs one or a few dedicated tasks. It contains hardware and software parts [3]. The paper presents a new approach to embedded system design using C language with OpenMP directives. It is different from classic hardware design (Fig. 1a) because it allows describing both hardware and software using a common language (Fig. 1b). OpenMP is a standard that specifies parallel programs using a shared memory architecture. It is the collection of compiler directives and runtime library functions in C/C++ and Fortran languages [11]. Support for concurrency that corresponds to hardware performance is the main motivation of using OpenMP to embedded system design. OpenMP enables describing chips on high level of abstraction without knowledge about details of its structure. It improves flexibility of the software/hardware migration. OpenMP offers simulation, verification and estimation of the system performance. There is sufficient amount of legacy C libraries which facilitate the task of system modeling. Fig. 2a shows an example of OpenMP code that adds two matrixes A and B using a parallel loop. The systemC program being the results of behavioral synthesis of the example 2a is presented in Fig. 2b. Parallel regions in OpenMP have been transformed to SC_METHODS processes in SystemC. Fig. 3 shows the RTL schematic diagram of the chip synthesized from a code 2b. It contains three blocks proc1, proc2, proc3 that are equivalent to threads in OpenMP program. A schematic diagram of the single block is presented in Fig. 4. The unit consists of an adder, a FDE flip-flop that realizes barrier synchronization and two FDR flip-flops representing signals S and R.

Opis:: Przedmiotem rozważań tekstu są przysłowia, aforyzmy, związki frazeologiczne, wyrażenia przysłowiowe i porzekadła wykorzystujące motyw psa w opisie jakiejś cechy ludzkiej lub zjawiska świata rzeczywistego, występujące w języku polskim oraz w językach należących do irańskiej grupy językowej: perskim, tadżyckim i szugnońskim. W badaniach nad przysłowiami i frazeologią zastosowano metodę etnolingwistyczną. Wykazano istnienie znacznych podobieństw z metaforami polskimi. Z perspektywy koncepcji ucieleśnionego i osadzonego w kulturze umysłu (EEM), traktującego metafory jako reprezentacje umysłowe, świadczy to o znacznym podobieństwie tak odległych kultur, jakimi są polska i irańska. Podobieństwa te wskazują na istnienie w jakiejś głębszej warstwie faktycznej jedności doświadczenia człowieka niezależnie od różnic dzielących ludzi żyjących w różnych kulturach.
The article presents an analysis of Polish and Iranian (Persian, Tajik and Shughni) proverbs, idiomatic and proverbial phrases and sayings about the dog, where the dog theme is used in order to clarify certain human traits and 181Z. Błajet, P. Błajet Metafora z motywem psaphenomena of the real world. In the study an ethno-linguistic approach has been used. The Iranian examples demonstrate large similarity to Polish ones. From the perspective of the conception of the embodied-embedded mind in which metaphors are considered as a mental representations we note the existence of the unity of the human experience regardless of the differences between people living in different cultures.
