Opis:: Hydraulic actuators that commonly used in machine work systems are not equipped with protection features preventing the autonomous insertion and extension of a piston rod because of the influence of external forces. Consequently, a spontaneous fall of working circuits in the event of the loss of tightness of supply lines of an actuator may occur. Currently applied safety features that are sometimes mounted directly on hydraulic cylinders as in the case of mining machinery intended for exploitation in black coal mines protect working systems from uncontrolled lowering. However, their design forces the drive to be started to make it safe to leave the work system. If, for any reason, the drive system of a machine cannot be started and the work system is raised, its lowering can take place only by unsealing the hydraulic system, which is unforeseeable for constructors and carries the danger of crushing a person or persons involved. The paper presents a new solution for hydraulic cylinders, which enables, among other things, the controlled and safe insertion of a piston rod under load without the need for having the drive system started.

Opis:: In my thesis I analise the affective dynamics of political life prevalent in Polish cities. I attempt to answer the question, why shortly after 2008 the "revolutionary emotion" typical, as I claim, to the times of economical crisis, transforms into what Walter Benjamin would call a "fascist illusion". I describe the specific form of gentrification and reprivatisation in Poland as well as the revanchist affects, common not only in the upper social classes, but also, however in different forms, among the groups excluded from fully-fledged and subjective participation in city life. Discussing the most common emotions among urban precariat, I try to discover how they are related to and affected by the city-themed postpolitical discourses, which are a typical feature of neoliberalism. What follows is a description of the process of formation of urban identities and the discrepancies between certain kinds of politics of protest - politics of acknowledgement, represented by the 'right to the city' movements and the politics of encounter, one based on carnality, and one which refuses to acknowlegde the power of the authorities. I try to diagnose the historical, cultural, economical and affective reasons for the failure of radical left in Poland, and the success of far right nationalist movements.
W pracy analizuję afektywną dynamikę życia politycznego toczącego się w polskich miastach. Zadaję pytanie o to, dlaczego w kilka lat po 2008. roku "emocja rewolucyjna" typowa, jak wykazuję, dla czasów kryzysu gospodarczego przekształca się, parafrazując Waltera Benjamina, w "faszystowską iluzję". Piszę o gentryfikacji polskich miast, reprywatyzacji oraz o towarzyszących im "rewanżystowskich" afektach: powszechnych wśród klas wyższych, obecnych jednak, choć w innych formach, także wśród tych, którzy są wykluczeni z podmiotowego i pełnoprawnego udziału w miejskim życiu. Mówiąc o powszechnych wśród wielkomiejskiego prekariatu emocjach, zastanawiam się, jak odnoszą się do nich i jak na nie wpływają typowe dla neoliberalizmu postpolityczne dyskursy o mieście. Opisuję proces formowania się tożsamości miejskich oraz różne rodzaje polityk protestu - politykę uznania, zogniskowaną wokół idei prawa do miasta, oraz nieuznającą autorytetów politykę spotkania, z konstytuującymi ją elementami cielesności i zmysłowości. Próbuję zdiagnozować historyczne, kulturowe, ekonomiczne i afektywne przyczyny względnie słabej pozycji radykalnej lewicy w Polsce oraz sukcesu nacjonalistycznych ruchów skrajnej prawicy.
